Is there anyway to change the volume display, or decrease the amount of time it stays on the screen?
When I change the volume in the middle of a call, or game, or whatever... the volume display stays on the screen for what seems like an eternity. There's also no easy way to get rid of it. Hitting the back button takes you back from wherever you were... not just back from the volume display. I find it very annoying.
(I did a search for this topic and didn't find anything... if this has already been discussed, than sorry for the extra thread...)
Thanks-
Maybe it's a solution to hit anyplace on the screen where no button or volume slider is (standard the grey area) it shuts down the volume display only so you'll return to the place where you pushed the volume button
That was waayyy too easy!
Thanks-
Personally I don't like the HTC volume control, or the System Status screen, I prefer the to have WM deal with them, and just give me the bubble with volume sliders/comm panel links...
You can disable the system screen through the TouchFlo settings in Start > Settings > System > TouchFlo but you need a cab file to remove the volume control, I have it as "Remove-Htcvolume-by-HellengreeN.cab, I'm not sure where I found it.
It's a little glitchy when changing volume in a full screen app, as the bubble/volume bars are drawn "through" the full screen app, but you can see what's going on and it negates the need to use the stylus at all.
I want to disable changing ringtone states with the volume buttons. For example, if I press it all the way down it'll go into silent mode and vibrate mode if I go one bar up.
I don't actually want that. I change the modes through the status bar. I want to use the volume buttons to just increase/decrease the ringtone volume, but not put them into silent/vibrate.
I can volume up and down into vibrate but thats the full range - pull down menu item flips between sound and vibrate only. I can however change it in the sound settings - anyone experience this before - It has to be software but for the life of me no idea what setting or possible conflict makes this happen. And randomly I will be able to do it with the rocker but most of the time vibrate is the lowest setting I can get the phone to change to without going into the settings panel.
In >Settings >Controls >Key Up/Down Action the 2 options are change sound volume or change brightness. Would be nice to have a third option to do nothing or disable any function from happening when up/down is pressed during playback. I've used MX for years and find the volume is accidentally set below max quite often. Thanks for reading!
Just realized there is a recent post about this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/mx-player/ui-ux-tweaks-to-make-mx-player-perfect-t3940592
I agree with OathYvne and wanted to also mention that navigating up from bottom control buttons/progress bar will highlight the video (or an invisible button) causing an extra keystroke. Best android player by far!
I wanna know if there's any way to lower the duration that the volume menu shows when you use the physical buttons to change the volume.
