Save files from internal storage and factory reset in recovery. If that doesn't work, do it again and reflash.

[Q] Unfortunately, settings has stopped

I get that message when I go into Settings>Application Manager and tap on the All tab. If I try this several times, the phone starts rebooting when I just try to go into Settings. I tried wiping cache in the stock recovery, but that didn't help? Any ideas?

Thanks. Wiping data is the same as a factory reset in that it will revert phone to original state when purchased, correct?

yes and it will reformat your internal sd, so back it up first.
OK, thanks for you help.
I've backed up my IMEI with adb nvbackup and QPST. The Synergy backup .zip doesn't work unless I'm rooted and unlocked, correct? Should I root / unlock and flash the Synergy zip before wiping data? Any chance rooting and unlocking will fix the 'settings has stopped' issue? I assume wiping data will cause me to lose root and unlocked state. Thanks for your help.

Same thing with me on Samsung GT-I9300 with Android 4.1.1
I came across this problem 2 times.
The first time it happened when I installed a game "Waking Mars". The game was working fine, I played for around 20 minutes and then wanted to check free storage left after installing. But when I opened Application manager swiping was very laggy and after a few (5-10) secs it crashed with "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped" error or just closed. At that time I didn't know that it was because of "Waking Mars" and started to delete unnecessery applications I installed that day and yesterday, but problem vanished only after uninstalling "Waking Mars". Also, while this app was installed, phone's screen was glitchy and became bleached (the glitch disappeared after rebooting), like when "Natural" screen mode is activated, but it wasn't. When I had tried to install the game again, the problem came back.
The second time it was because of "Galaxy On Fire 2" installed. Same problems appeared: crashing Application manager and glitchy screen.
Both games contained their data in ".apk" file, but another Waking Mars version with separate data (cache) caused the same problem too.
By the way, funny thing is that both games are about space
P.S.: Sorry for my English, it isn't my native language.

Factory reset, now process com.android.setupwizard - Force Quit

Hi guys, i bought a rooted P500 for my younger brother. I made factory reset to delete all the crap previous owner had there. But after the factory reset i got a massage "Sorry! The application Setup Wizard (process com.android.setupwizard)has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
Then my phone loads to a blank screen. It has the status bar at the top of the screen showing the battery, signal strength, ect. and that's it.
I tried dowloand this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2564767 but when i try falsh it, it says no zip files found. I have it on SDCard in the root file. What can i do?
So any help at this point would be greatly appreciated
I think there is no Launcher on your phone after factory reset.
Try install a launcher, and your phone should be ok.

Have you set up your Google account on the phone?
If yes, login to google play on your PC and Install any launcher - if your phone has 'data ' connection enabled.

Samsung Centura SCH-S738C won't factory reset

I've tried to factory reset my phone through the settings and in recovery mode, but nothing has changed.
Once the phone reboots I am receiving multiple msgs stating ""Unfortunately TuneIn Radio has stopped", ""Unfortunately Google Play services has stopped", "Unfortunately process com.google.process.gapps has stopped", "Unfortunately android.process.acore has stopped" over and over again.
It's also trying to download an app but it's not working.
Any suggestions? I've tried to factory reset with Kies but it doesn't work with the Centura phone. Can I factory reset with Odin or any other program? The phone is not rooted.
I have this phone and was able to get root access with Kingroot. I haven't been able to get it switched over to SuperSU or find custom recovery but I wanted to say that it can be rooted.

Go to Android Area51 forums and find daddy366 there, he's the Centura master and has dealt with just about any issue you could have with Centura, he's one of the administrators there and he's also the main developer for Centura so I'm sure he can get you straightened out.

Go to Android Area51 forums and you'll find a thread to return to stock for Centura, get stock restored then find daddy366's rooting guide for Centura, they have any and everything available for the Centura, you won't need kingroot to root and you'll have superuser after flashing the pre-rooted CWM that he created for Centura, if it doesn't have SuperSU after flashing then you can just install SuperSU and remove the superuser app. daddy366 will get you properly setup with root, custom recovery and SuperSU.
He may even be able to get you straight without having to return to stock first.

Device: G930A
I've been trying to fix without posting for help for a few days, I rooted my device then a day later it started acting weird (not being able to send texts on Samsung standard messaging app, then not installing apps downloaded from the play store then it went to not being able to use data on almost every app except Insta and default internet..
I don't know what else to try after attempting the stock flash to fix.. Odin says a few different errors depending on which file(s) I use.
Thank you guys and gals so much for any help you're able to give!
Boot to recovery and clear the caches
If that fails, factory reset
If that fails, flash stock
