Google note 7 air command apk. There is a port there that installs and works great on note 5. No root needed.

Has anyone been able to get man of steel working on the note 8.0? It works on my galaxy s3. Note 2. Galaxy tab 10. And nexus 7. But cant get it on note 8.0 playstore always says incompatible.

Tried. It restores it but it won't download the additional files. The developer emailed me back and said the note 8.0 is not supported.

I'm nearly sure it can't be done. An app would have to be installed on your device to work

you can try note7 port roms. Translater etc work flawlessly.
I suggest you to try se7enrom rom because it works very well.

Thanks guys i am currently on se7enrom rom and it works good but has other small flaws. I am going to try the smart select apk on a note 5 rom.
ok guysi partially got it. meaning only half the apps work. i cant get magnify or translate to work. i have the apps installed but they arent showing up

Does note 5 "via phronesis rom" support Translate air command feature just like note 7 by hovering s pen over the word, you get it translated? And if so, could you help me get this feature on my note 5 in step by step post in this forum? I am newbie to note and android in general.

Was just wondering if it was possible to enable Google Assistant on the Note 5 because I hear good things and now curious about it.

there is a way but it needs to be 7.0, and you have to tweak some things and be rooted of course
I have it working on my Note 5 running 6.0.1.
How I got it to work:
Download the Xposed Installer app.
Download the Assistant Enabler module.
Use Google App version 6.6.17.21 arm.
I use this version because I read and tried the updated versions and they removed the feature.

This worked for me. Darthstalker v11. There is actually a separate Xposed module called enable Google assistant. So you don't need the full Android n-ify module. The only issue I'm having is that it won't remember my voice. Everyone I say "ok Google" it asks me to retain my voice.

You can use google assistant in google allo app.
I can not configure Google App. on the home button. that's the problem. as I can configure the home button? as I do. please

It is activated by long press home button. was doing so. but change language and stopped working.
I can confirm that this method works on my TMO note 5 running N5 Express V2.0 as well. I have some display flashing issues when using the Androidn-ify that was listed on droid ape but i just typed that into the modual section of Xposed and got the enabler for it to work.
Make sure all the permissions are set up properly or there could be network issues. Speaking from experience with it its not fun. Other that that working flawlessly Using mymmx's method

How did you get it to work for Darth stalkerDarthstalker v11? When I hold home button it doesn't trigger google app. Holding home does nothing for me. Any ideas?

Yes. Holding home button didn't do anything directly after fresh install of the ROM. Maybe kernel? I'm just guessing at this point. Lol

You shouldn't install them as a normal app.
Your device has to be rooted.
Make a backup for your system apps and replace them with the downloaded apps and finally give them correct permissions.
If you follow the above links you will see how to install them in details.

My understanding is that Samsung Pay requires hardware that is not in the Note 4.
