Need Suggestions for buying new phone. - Android General

Hi to all, i am planning to buy a new android phone but got confused which one to buy because of lots of brand & models. My requirements are
1. Fingerprint sensor
2. Excellent camera
3. Compact size
4. Lots of customization available on XDA
I searched lots of phones(except Samsung) like Moto G 4 plus, One Plus 3, HTC A9, but size & price is the matter.
I want to ask here whether i go for brand like Meizu, Oppo, Huawei, etc... Is there lots of Roms & Mods available on XDA for these brands?
Not Xiaomi because I am using Redmi 2 Prime now & bored with MIUI. I am expecting kind suggestions from you fellows. Please help me.
Thanks in advance.

Buying a new phone, can't decide between G2, Nexus 5 or Z1 :(

Hi fellow members and xda,
I am a student that has been using the xperia S for almost 2 years, but now I'm looking for something new. I have been looking at phones for days, found a few good models but still cant decide which one will suit me.
The 3 models I can't choose between are the LG G2 (32GB), The Nexus 5 and the Xperia Z1
The only thing that holds me back from the Nexus is that the 32gb version won't come to the Netherlands. Also the battery life
The G2 however has outstanding battery life and a huge screen and the phone is yet quite slim.
The Z1 has an SD option which I like, but has been criticized a lot.( screen etc)
I don't have problems with the prices of the phones so I don't take that into my opinion.
So my question is, can you guys help me out? Do you have any experience with these phones? I have to decide in 2 weeks

Guys im considering to buy oneplus one.But due to its yellow screen issues I might not buy it.I had previously Note 3.It was big.But how is Lg g pro 2 in terms of looks & handling. It looks too big than Note 3?How is it screen wise & performance wise.Otherwise Ill go for s5

I had a note 3, got this and sold the note 3. This has 5.9" display, it feels so much better in the hand, I think it's easier to carry than the note 3. Screen is fantastic, I have owned many devices, and this is my favorite

Developed scene look bit grim for the device, but have few working xpose mods to play around.i feel lack of development is some sort of blessing in disguise for me cos earlier most of my time i used to spend flashing a new rom every othere day and i hardly used to use my phones for anything else other than flashing ,now i feel am really using and enjoying my phone.

Hi,
My friend has a Note 3 (which i used for a week before buying the D838) and trust me ... Not regretting at all.... Infact my friend is the one hunting for a LG G Pro 2.... Its fast.... Amazing bulit in apps (including the G2 Quick Remote... It has almost all brands...Including a Micromaxx TV... which i was surprised..) Aprt from that...Good and clean UI.... I deint feel a need to installa a 3rd party launcher....Stock is good enough..Battery capacity lasts GOOD 1 and a half day....(heavy usage..) and it looks good.... I personally feel that i own the best phone currently...
:good::good::good::fingers-crossed:

Hey,
like you i was going to go for a OnePlus One but the chances of getting one are slim with it's invite system and so on. So I got the G Pro 2 (D838) in the end. my wife has a note 3. the G Pro 2 is larger than the Note 3, but it doesn't feel any larger in your hand.
if you don't like large devices, then get the G3 or the S5.
Performance - about the same as the Note 3. it's a SnapDragon 800 with 3GB RAM. No issues from me.
Bonus - you can easily get accessories for the LG/Samsung phones compared to the OnePlus.
Development wise - not much from what I've seen. Depends what you want to do. There's a root available which works well.
I came from a Samsung S3 running CM11 - I have rooted but that's all I need for some of my apps. I don't think I'll bother flashing custom ROMs for the time being.

Phone with Most Future CM Support

Hi everyone,
I am planning on buying a new phone and have narrowed my choices down to the OnePlus 2, Moto X Pure (Style), and ASUS ZenFone 2. I chose these phones as they have some of the best specs at some of the lowest prices. My question is this: Out of these phones, which one is likely to have the most future CyanogenMod support? This includes the phone with the most stability and the most updates to the CyanogenMod OS. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. If you feel that there is another phone out there worth considering besides these 3 phones, please feel free to share.
Thanks,
Shadowz1218
I think that you need to go to CM official site and check what is the newest device that exist in there list
If you really want cyanogenmod preloaded zuk z1 is a good phone. I would advice you to stay away from oneplus.. You can also wait for xiaomi mi5 to launch.. It would be a good phone and will get cm support according to me. Moto x is a good choice but I have had bad experiences with motorola.

Or do you guys suggest waiting until the Google Nexus 5X and 6P are released towards the end of the month? Google Nexus phones are pretty much guaranteed to have strong CM support, right? That plus the fact that it's coming with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
There's a dedicated what should I buy thread here,

Many there to offer opinions. :good:

What device to buy?

Hi, can you help me decide what phone to buy? I'm currently using Moto G 4G (XT1039) which I really love for it's flexibility (no problem with unlocking bootloader, flashing TWRP, rooting, using custom ROMs) and clean Android, but it's kinda old and during my experiments I managed to break its 3G modem, so I'm looking for an upgrade. What I'm looking for is a phone with around 5 inch screen, good battery and good developers support, a phone that will last for another couple of years, so something with at least 2GB of ram and good SOC. It doesn't need to be brand new, some 2 years old flagships are welcome. I'm thinking about LG Nexus 5 which is affordable and has nice stats or maybe Moto X 1st edition - I don't know. I'm willing to pay no more than 200 GBP. Thanks for all advice.

New phone opinions

I currently have a Nexus 6P. I dropped it a week ago shattering the phone, but I'm looking to get something better. I'm looking for something that has a good processor, adequate storage, good dev support, great camera quality, dual flash F/R cameras, quick updates. I have had a HTC M8 before, so I'm not really interested in the HTC10 nor do I want any Samsung product. What are your ideas on the OnePlus 3T? What's the community like? What's the future of OnePlus devices looking like? I'm not really sure if I want to get a Pixel device either. I'm not really that impressed with Pixel features or the Pixel for that matter. Let's hear some ideas...
