Is there anyway to deodex the Infuse yet?
probably the same as a galaxy s. gtg465x posted one but we are haveing trouble getting a successful odin package to fix the phone when things go wrong so people were not willing to try it.
Thank you for the fast respond, are we gonna lose the phone if something goes wrong. or if something goes wrong is there a way to fix it.

well with samsung we are lucky enough to have odin which is a factory flash tool. unfortunately it is not working on the infuse 100%, there may be a new build of it just for the infuse but it hasnt been leaked yet as far as we know. there is also an opensource application called heimdall that works in place of odin. there has been some success with heimdall but the one user that restored with it is having random vibrate issues.
there are still things to figure out, but there is no reason you cant flash with cwm, there are just no proven roms or reliable methods to restore if it goes wrong.
Thanks again. I'll just wait since I'm not good in doing these kind of things.
Just to chime in, you can definitely softbrick the phone if you try to deodex the rom and something goes wrong. I know from experience (happened to me yesterday ) As far as I know, I'm the only one who has successfully flashed back to stock using h8rift's original test tar but now there's confusion about whether it's reliable or not due to other testers' experiences. We're gonna get there just hang tight.

So there are already some people brick their devices and good to know that you have successfully flashed it back.
I just have no idea how to do these kind of things this is my first Android device. I had HD2 and was so easy to do anything. I'm just afraid to brick my infuse, so I'll just wait
I just need to deodex it so I can be able to read and write in Arabic.
Thanks
I read all post here but i can't know what happen to my phone is not bricket because don't go to download mode i just only want to install this rom from the another galaxy Port http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1032599 and this happen to me only open Android system recovery
but down says can't access to system/cs/att/system i think the cell will no function again please i need help i don't know what to do! odin don't want to work and neither the system recovery
WOW nobody can help me..
If you're having trouble getting ODIN to work to flash back to a safe place, try AdamOutler's One-Click Heimdall to get back to stock without having to use ODIN. All you'll need is to have Java installed on your computer, and to let the one-click install what it needs. Just follow the directions that it gives you, and you should be good to go.
A quick note, though - the one-click will put you back to a stock rom, which means you'll need to push a CWM kernel to the phone (or one of the other fixes) to get rid of the 3e recovery menu.

It's really hard to understand what you are trying to say. Your post makes very little sense in English. Posting your native language might help. We can translate it. But trouble shooting is almost impossible if you can't accurately communicate the problem.
I just realized forum rules say post in English. You might just have to break the rules here. Or pm me in Spanish and I will try to translate it for you.
information is the relevant currency
You haven't given enough information to properly troubleshoot.
Let me try and understand your problem:
You were trying to install this i9000 ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1032599) onto your Captivate
Something didn't work
When you try to boot the phone instead of booting properly it goes to 3e recovery (not CWM)
Is this correct?
Can you get to download mode?
odin don't want to work

What Odin are you using? What is happening when you try to use it? What *exact* steps are you taking?
jmtheiss's suggestion that you can use a heimdall 1-click is a good one. Do that, and you'll be back on stock, with a fully functional phone.
You were trying to load a SGSII ROM ported for the i9000 onto your Captivate (897); Even if it worked, unless you have a different compatible kernel, at minimum your orientation and a couple other items would be wrong.
If you're new to flashing, it's a good idea to stick to ROMs actually ported for your phone: so once you're back to stock, I'd recommend sticking to ROMs you find in the Captivate Dev forum.
If I'm wrong about something let me know--but if you want help, you've got to be specific.
Also, there's a great troubleshooting guide right here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819105
So earlier today i Dl'ed the new radio and its been down here from there.
I was able to get to odin before and i installed
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1601483
And i now cant use odin. I found from this thread what to do if i could get into odin (also cant get cwm)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1611796
What should i do?
Does your phone work at all? It sounds like you might have bricked it using ODIN incorrectly. Did you leave "repartition" checked? If so, you shouldn't have.
Can you get into download mode at all? Does your PC recognize your phone? If you don't know what I'm talking about, you need to go to the "DEV" section and read all of the sticky threads, which you hopefully already did before you tried to do anything with your phone. Asking a bunch of questions about things you haven't taken the time to read about isn't going to help you at all.
Have you tried the "Odin Oneclick" leak"s" that have been released? They include ODIN in the install package.
You claim the Note radio flash derped your phone? It has been known to mess with phones but I haven't known of it bricking any phones. If so, have you tried to flash a different radio? You need to provide as much info as you can about what you did and read all of the threads that pertain to what it is you think you wanted to do. If you provide more acurate info, maybe someone can help (if you didn't brick your phone with ODIN). Good luck.

I'm happy to hear you are back up and running. I think the best thing to do is just stay away from the "Note" radio...its just not worth the risk.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using XDA
its really not...im still trying to fix my homescreen and shutdown
I'm learning a hard lesson about the Note radio, too.
i just need to find some one with a full efs folder so i cant replace mine and ill be fine
I've updated my method, try again. If ur having write issues with efs, no guarantee that simply dropping it I'm with fix it. I think this new method will allow it to stick
I am Pretty sure that I bricked my phone completely and I am in such a panic that I can't even concentrate on searching through different threads to fin a solution let alone trying to understand them (I'm a Nooby) can someone please help me.?? I was trying to root my phone through the all in one toolkit and at first I had soft bricked it but trying to fix that I think I full on bricked it!!! PLEASE help me..
With a post like that, I don't guess you'll get many replies. Since you are a noob (why are you flashing your phone then?), I'd suggest you look in the dev section for the thread containing RUU for your phone. This should allow you to reflash back to stock via your PC where I'd suggest you stay until you do some more research.
Post exactly what you did and what happened. "I bricked my phone" doesn't tell us much.
hi there guys
I have a galaxy s6 SH-G920W8 with virgin mobile with a custom rom that has blocked my calling so i have bin trying to restore it back to stock with odin but everytime i try it odin fails either at the sboot.bin part or the NAND write start part. I have tried basically all of the solutions i have seen on google and none of them seem to work. my rooting/computer/modding knowledge is good enough to the point were i wont brick my phone but this has me stumped and i have no idea what to do. the custom rom im using is XtreStoLite-ROM-3.3.1-DPDP with a bunch of the tweaks it comes with. if anyone has any ideas on how i can fix my phone or would even be willing to hook up using teamviewer to help me then that would be great. i work all week from 1230pm-9pm so between that time i wont be able to respond to you guys unless im on break. i hope someone can help.
