Hi all,
i got a phone repair job that stumped me, its a friends HUAWEI Y360-U31.
its not rooted but stuck on a boot loop and pressing vol - and power boots up a chinese "factory mode" as far as i can understand.
Pressing vol+ and power brings up a recovery menu and root moniter say it has root but theres is no cwm or anything.
i dug around the internets but im stumped. is there a way to recover it by reinstalling firmware or is rooting the only path from here...
Im not very tech savy so any help is apreciated.

Try power and volume plus button together.

Tried making my own Custom Rom using Rangerby, Fallen Saint, Shabby Penguin and arrrghhh parts to make a Sweet Pie (mod lol)... Now... The Phone Just keeps rebooting into recovery mode TWRP, CWM or even Recovery. I know I haven't "bricked" it yet... but any advice on how to remove this little issue?
To recap... turns on phone... shows moto logo... then turns to revcovery mode,
turn it off again/reboot... the same thing... any advice would be appreciated and i mean real advice
EDIT:
Alright good news... After careful research, I found a logical Item I kept overlooking over 2hrs ago
Make sure phone is turned off, then hold PWR + CAMERA until you see boot mode, then use the VOL DWN KEY till you reach BP Tools, then Hit VOL UP to select. Sit back and enjoy
hello, i have a starmobile engage 8 tablet from Philippines that I was able to root. i guess the bootloader is LOCKED, there is NO RECOVERY, and I can't install one. usb debug mode is unfortunately DISABLED without thinking that my tablet will have problems. when i restarted the phone, it showed me splash screen/starmobile logo then followed by a blank screen. after around 5 minutes, it restarts and then same thing happens.
what can be done in this case? please help!:crying:
keep trying to fix it!

I feel your pain, I have the same unit with a different issue but my temporary fix might help you.
Rooted my phone and installed a game(was in the middle of copying a file to the obb ), forgot to activate modded play store and restarted the tablet trying to do a quick modded play store install. after the stupid move My tablet now keeps restarting and stops after the star mobile logo and restarts again and it just keeps restarting.
What I did is I randomly press the following keys to attempt finding the safe mode: home+volup, home+voldown, pow+volup and etc... I finally found the safe mode and did a factory reset which did nothing to fix the restarts. Try not doing this!
Then I pressed and hold both volume keys when the star mobile logo shows up and the red star mobile logo turns blue completing the boot process for some reason starting the tablet.
As of today my engage 8 still does the infinite restart if I restart it but I can bypass it with the method. Hope it helps you.
Planning to do a cache/dalvik cache wipe when my research is done to try and fix this tab, good luck to me...
thanks for your reply... what i thought was that starmobile technicians do not want to share the key combinations. and im glad that you figured it out. can you remember that specific combinations you used? so that i can try then...
just so you know, i sent the unit to star mobile for repair and they managed to fix it. unfortunately i made the same mistake so i just dumped it.

There are only a few buttons on the phone. I mean, if you have 3 buttons, there are 3 combinations.
Assuming your phone has 3 buttons try:
Power + Volume Up
Power + Volume Down
Power + Volume Up + Volume down
If your phone has 4 buttons also try:
Power + Vol Up + Home
Power + Vol Down + Home
Power + Vol Up + Vol Down + Home
NOTE: Press ALL the buttons and hold in the same time.
NOTE2: Try the combinations in the order from top to bottom
Dear Everyone,
I bought an MT7-TL10 with this stuck problem, because I thought I can solve this with Your help.
I put down it's back to always be near to the battery.
There are more style of stuck.
1. Power button - when I power on, it stucks at Ascend logo. and after afew seconds reboot to recovery mode oky after that i tried to wip data factory reset and again reboot to recovery mode
I can shut down while holding Power Button + Volume Down, but after this, reboot to recovery mode
2- no fastbootmode
3- HiSuite doesn't see it
4-ADB installer doesn't see it.
5- (insert microSD with dload/update.app inside Power Button + Volume Down + Volume Up → nothing happens).
So please share any idea with me, I'd like to fix it, but don't know how...
Maybe if ADB or HiSuite would see it's connected, would be easier...
Thank You all!
i have same problems no recovery mood with no flashing errror????!!!!!
English is not my native language, bear with me.
Hello, I need help regarding with this Lenovo A536. Whenever I turn it on, it boots up however up to the "animated logo" and it keeps on looping there forever. I tried googling and found out you can hard reset this phone through recovery mode as what you called it. Pressed volume up + power button, behold I went to recovery mode but it was in chinese... found a translation of that and hard resetted the phone.
But the problem still persist. Any help/thoughts will be greatly appreciated.
You should hold "power button" and both "volume buttons" simultaneously to go to recovery mode
