Introduction
This is a UNOFFICIAL build of LineageOS for the Samsung Galaxy Core Plus.
It's not ready yet and has some bugs in it which could cause problems to some users.
The ROM will only work on the SM-G350 Version of the Phone (without any Numbers/Letters behind).
This ROM could be used for daily use now (though you should look at the list of what doesn't work first).
Known Bugs
Camera sometimes switches to green-purple. The resulting picture doesn't have the weird color, but it may be flipped and/or distorted at the edges.
Video Recording
Codecs (some work, some don't. I tested MP4 and AVI, both work. I should really make a list...)
Installation Instructions
Special thanks to @Giovix92 for making this tutorial!
Requirements:
1: A computer with Windows.
2: An Internet connection.
3: A backup of your phone data (contacts, photo, music, videos, and other).
4: About 300 MB free space on your SD card.
5: Phone charged at least 80%.
Download links are below
I do NOT take any responsibility for bricked devices!
Let's start!
1: Download the Samsung USB Drivers.
2: Download the ODIN3. (Only for Windows)
3: Download the TWRP Odin package to your desktop and download the LineageOS 13 zip to your SD card.
4: Make a backup of your files, because the storage will be wiped. (External SD card will not be wiped)
5: Reboot your phone in to the Download mode (Volume Down- , Home- and Power button). Press the Volume Up button when asked. Then open the ODIN3 and connect your phone to your PC.
6: Press AP and choose the TWRP Odin package (recovery.tar) and make sure re-partition is NOT ticked. "Auto-Reboot" should not be ticked either, otherwise you will need to be quick to boot into the recovery immediately after flashing.
7: Press start! Wait a few seconds. Then your phone will be rebooted. Now you can disconnect the cable and power off your phone.
8: Boot your phone in to the TWRP Recovery (Volume Up-, Home- and Power button).
9: Go to Wipe, and Swipe to Factory Reset.
10. After wiping go to the home screen by pressing the home button.
11: Go to Install. Choose the "external_sd" from the top bar. (It says "Storage: Internal Storage (xxxxMB)" by default)
12: Choose the LineageOS 13 ZIP and Swipe to Confirm Flash. Make sure you don't power off while flashing!
13: After the zip has been flashed choose "Reboot System".
14: Wait 5-15 minutes to boot the phone. If the phone keeps booting take out the battery and do a Factory Reset again.
15: When the phone boots the first time, go through the Setup Wizard and you are ready to use your phone!
If there was something you didn't understand, please don't hesitate to ask

Still working on that.

I just noticed that the sound sometimes "breaks" and sounds like damaged speakers (just for a part of a second, nothing permanent). I don't know if this is a software problem or just my phone. Can someone confirm that? It sometimes happens when doing a call or pressing random numbers at the Dialer. It also seems to happen only with standard sound level or higher.
I'll check it after I fixed (or tried to fix) Internet and SD Card

This is the same on stock when listening YT idk why it happens.
For the sdcard fix check if there are correct mounts for vold.fstab or framework
BTW. Videoplayback isnt working good on YT on Internet browser and is glitched too on chrome.

Not now, still working on it. I don't even know where to search.

something about the vpn? or maybe something isnt compatible with cm13?

I searched on google and disable the firewall could be a solution.

Seems to be a more general problem. I'll look through the device/kernel/vendor trees of similiar devices for a fix.

How could you even disable a device's firewall?

Well, i just red here "https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/official-cm13-nightly-builds-rolling-out-for-opo.411202/page-103" that its may be fault of the recovery. I dont think that we all got the same twrp though, is something you can test? i used santori's twrp, i had it flashed quite a time. maybe an update or a modification will solve that issue

I knew we need TWRP 3.x.x to install an Android 6.0+ Rom. So, the network issue, could be related to the recovery version.
We should to update the recovery first, to install Marshmallow (and up) on a smartphone

allright, i'll check up for a twrp for our phone
EDIT: on the official twrp/devices, there is not our device. so, what's up next?

Hey, I'm new here at xda forums. I just installed this ROM on my galaxy core plus, and it works great. My phone is now super snappy. But many features don't work as of now, the bluetooth actually worked for me, I didnt expect it to after reading the post. When will these bugs be fixed, and more importantly how can I follow so that I can get my hands on the new release as soon as it gets out? Thanks a lot!

I also could try to make CM Recovery first, and if it won't work, I'll give TWRP a try.

I still need to search what causes the Internet and SD Card to fail. Bluetooth does work, only Bluetooth Calls, Car connection and other devices are untested.
You can subscribe to this thread or subscribe to the DevDB project, to get a notification if it's updated. To get updates on your Smartphone, you could install XDA Legacy (Tapatalk) or XDA Labs (just called XDA) from Play Store.

CM Recovery didn't fix the problem. And I somehow can't get TWRP to boot.

BEFORE INSTALLING THIS ROM, MAKE SURE YOUR DEVICE MODEL IS THE SAME AS TITLE
IF YOU ASK ANY QUESTIONS LIKE "IS THIS FOR MODEL BLABLABLA" THEY WILL BE ALL IGNORGED
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
We'll not support users and answer questions from users which:
Are running a custom kernel
Have flashed mods
Modified system files
Didn't follow our instructions word by word
Are unfriendly
And most important: DON'T READ THE OP
What's working:
RIL (Calls, SMS, Mobile data)
Wifi (connection, tethering)
Bluetooth
Camera, video codecs
Storage (internal, external and adoptable storage)
Offline charging
zRAM (compressed-RAM swap)
GAPPS
Tethering (USB, Wifi, Bluetooth)
GPS (except Device Only mode)
Torch (flashlight)
WiFi-Direct
SELinux enforcing
LZ4 compressor/de-compressor for zRAM
BUGS/Not working:
FM radio app FC (due to missing libraries)
Distorting sound when using Bluetooth headset in call or in recording
First time installing CyanogenMod 13 to your Galaxy V, or coming from another ROM:
Install TWRP Recovery
Reboot into Recovery using 3-button-combo (Vol-up+Home+Power)
Do a Nandroid backup! (Optional and only if you weren't running TouchWiz before)
WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition + format /system partition)*
Install the ROM from sdcard using TWRP Recovery
Optionally install the Google Apps ( get it here: https://opengapps.org ) (pico GAPPS recommended) (*)
(*) NOTE: If you're about going to install GAPPS with ROM, install it right after you've installed the ROM, else you have to do a factory reset if you've booted the ROM first

F.A.Q
Q: ROM startup too slow?
A: This device is just a single-core phone, so the first startup is super-duper slow, and some lags are expected during usage
Q: ETAs?
A: See here: Link
Q: Anymore models supported?
A: SM-G313ML, SM-G313H
Q: Is init.d supported on this ROM?
A: Every CyanogenMod ROMs support init.d, so be free at scriptings
Q: Can you include ABCXYZ feature / Samsung Apps here?
A: NO!
Q: Can i use your ROM as a base for portings?
A: Yes, you could, but give proper credits
Q: Status 7 when installing the ROM?
A: Use TWRP recovery to install the ROM, as CWM is not supported yet
Q: Server error in Google Play Store?
A: Install latest Google Play Services manually first (might take long time, due to Lollipop's nature), then you can install apps from GG Play as usual
Q: How to use adoptable storage feature? I see it's new in Marshmallow
A: Go to Settings >> Storage & USB >> Tap on the SD card label (not the eject icon) >> 3 dots menu on the top right >> Settings >> Format as internal and done!
Q: Where's the MTP option in Marshmallow? I don't see it in Storage settings
A: This feature has been moved to Developer settings, and will reset to default (Charging) after every reboots. Enable developer options first by tapping 7 times on Build number in About phone section >> Go to Developer settings >> Select USB configuration. The fastest way to do this is plug in your USB with your PC, scroll down notification bar and tap on "USB for Charging"
Q: Where's the "running" section in Apps settings?
A: It has been cut off separately to Memory setting and "Running services" in Developer settings. You can see the memory used by apps for a period of time and closing apps too, but they won't disappear in the menu, and in "Running services", still same as old-fashioned running apps section
@ngoquang2708 said in the CLOSED THREAD: I do not think screen lock when you are pulling the notification drawer is a bug. You have to unlock your screen to do things, right?
About "wakelock", didn't I fix it, or you misstyped it?
Man, you did fix that wakelock thing in the Beta 3, but it's happening someting similar with me (that why I thought it has a wakelock thing), when I click on the bottom of the screen happens that damn thing showed in the screenshot (only when i click in the bottom).
I wonder if I'm the only one with this problem, this has happened with you @ngoquang2708?
Hey bro, hopefully soon solve the problem of GPS, lock screen and the annoying message from the SIM Card

Hi. I tried installing SuperSu but it keeps on failing, the Su binary can't be installed for some reason. I tried rebooting as it says but still gives the same error. I already enable the root access in developer options and gave permission but it just doesn't work, is there any fix?
Also can I install OC Kernel? I would love to overclock a bit if i can?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance guys!

Why do you want SuperSu on CM? It isn't supported
For now you can't install OC kernel, as the ramdisks are outdated. I'll make a ZIP for all ROMs now

Try to activate and deactivate the Root Permission again in Apps and ADB or Apps Only, and then give Root Permission when it asks (it worked for me when I was with this problem).

I recommend you see this guide thread about the CPU and I/O Scheduler: http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/ref-to-date-guide-cpu-governors-o-t3048957
About the best CPU, I/O Scheduler, i'm not sure but, let me give you a example: When i play in Drastic DS Emulator and switch the CPU and I/O to another one than the default, the screen freezes in the middle of the game and defrost later (about 30secs and 1min), but when I play in the default (Intelliacive/BFQ) it goes smoother with no screen freezes.

No need to do that, you just need to download and install supersu from the play store. After installation disable and re enable root access make sure its apps and adb. Worked for me.

[GUIDE][AOSP][7.1.2][HLTE][Rev11][11-Mar-18]Resurrection Remix - Rock Stable Setup

During the last few months I have been testing several Nougat rom/kernel/modem/su combinations for the hlte N9005 international.
I created this thread to share my setup, hoping it will help others to save the many hours of research, trial, error and frustration I had before reaching the jackpot.
I have 3 hlte phones at my disposal, two myself and one my wife. All three are running trouble free.
By using my setup you will get:
Absolutely no freezes, reboots or FCs
Stable root and Safetynet checks ok
GPS fast and stable fix - average 5 seconds worst 20 seconds
Low battery drain (of course actual drain depends heavily on your apps and usage)
Everything works (AFAIK - you tell me what does not)
Keep in mind my main goal is to provide a stable setup. I will do my best to update this thread regularly, but it is very unlikely I will be using the very latest builds available, mainly because before I adopt a new build it must be thoroughly tested.
If you're interested head to the guide in Post #2
Why Resurrection Remix?
RR has, IMHO, the best combination of features and stability. The RR team has been around for a long time without the ups and downs of other roms. For the Note 3 we are in a very fortunate time, with an official build and many unofficial builds to choose from.
Since RR is based on LineageOS, it is available for most devices. It is very likely when we finally retire our Note 3 and move to another flagship, RR will be there for it.
Why Not Oreo?
Well, thread title says it all.
Credits and Thanks:
@vidwhal for the current RR build

@Jairus980 for Xenial kernel
@Hereiwas and @jcadduono for modems and bootloaders

@Deic for the Safetynet fix Magisk module and @NovelliJack for finding the module

Special thanks to @tarkzim for the RRN build used in initial setups.
and everyone else I forgot to mention.

Rock Stable Setup
Using Resurrection Remix
Revision 11 - 11-Mar-2018
Phase 1 - Prepare for install
Here I am assuming you have a Windows PC. If not you will need to use google search to adapt my instructions to your available OS/hardware. The PC is only required for this phase.
1 - Samsung USB Driver:
Make sure you have the Samsung USB driver installed in your Windows PC.
If not download and install the latest driver:
- SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_v1.5.65.0.exe
2 - Odin:
If you do not have Odin, get it here, unpack to any folder and create a shortcut pointing to Odin3 v3.09.exe.
There are newer versions of Odin, but they may have issues with our Note 3. Odin v3.09 is the one to use.
3 - TWRP
New to TWRP? Read this guide: TWRP: the complete guide to using Recovery on Android.
If you do not already have it, install TWRP 3.2.1-0. Download it from https://dl.twrp.me/hlte. More info here.
If you no not have TWRP installed download the .tar file and flash with Odin.
If you have an older version download the .img file and use your current TWRP to flash the image into recovery partition.
4 - Update Bootloader and Modem:
You have to install latest Nordic Countries Bootloader and Modem. I have prepared a "tar.md5" with both.
And yes, modem is not country or region dependent. Rest assured Nordic will work no matter where you are.
Get it from here: N9005_Nordic_XXUGPQB1-Modem_XXSGBQD1-Bootloader.tar.md5
Updating bootloader and modem is a must!
If you don't you may get the "SIM Card not detected" error and GPS fix will be slow or not work at all.
There are many sure ways to flash modem and bootloader so that they "stick". What always works for me is:
- Restart into Recovery (TWRP)
- Select Reboot->Power off
- Turn on directly into download mode by holding Down Arrow+Home+Power at the same time
- Connect phone to PC
- Flash with Odin using the AP slot
Now you should check if update was successful. The best way is to install the app Phone INFO, run it and select the Firmware tab. The correct Bootloader and Baseband (modem) above should be displayed. There is a screenshot in first post.
If the update did not work repeat the steps carefully until it does. You may, as a last resort, after powering off remove the battery, wait for about 30 seconds, reinsert the battery and then turn on directly into download mode.
Thanks to @Hereiwas for the files I have used in previous setups. Check out in his thread Bootloader and Baseband for SM-N9005.
If you need more info on flashing modems and bootloaders also take a look at @jcadduono thread [Direct Download] Latest Bootloaders & Modems.
PHASE 2 - Download the necessary installation files
1 - Resurrection Remix Nougat rom - thanks @vidwhal:
Download from here: RR-N-v5.8.5-20180101-hlte-Official-vidwhal.zip.
Please note that I am not the rom builder or developer. All credits go to @vidwhal and the RR Team.
This is the rom thread: [ROM][HLTE][UNOFFICIAL][OMS]Resurrection Remix N.
Please note this build may not be the latest available. The goal here is to have a stable rom that you will be able to use as a daily driver with no issues for a long time. Only after a lot of testing a new build makes into my setup.
I modified the zip to remove Magisk. This will make it easier to use newer or beta Magisk builds if necessary in the future. Remember Safetynet is a cat and mouse game and changes happen fast.
Special thanks to @tarkzim, who produced the RR builds used in earlier setups. He did a fantastic job of producing a very stable build without a Note 3 device for tests. His builds led me to create this thread.
2 - Magisk v16.0 Official - thanks @topjohnwu):
Magisk Installer: Magisk-v16.0.zip
Magisk Manager: MagiskManager-v5.6.1.apk (optional - you might need it in the future)
Magisk Uninstaller: Magisk-uninstaller-20180222.zip (optional - you might need it in the future)
if you decide to use newer builds do it at your own risk. I strongly recommend to keep these.
3 - Gapps:
Open Gapps Pico: open_gapps-arm-7.1-pico-20180311.zip
Not much to say here. Open GApps FTW.
Again the above build is the one I tested. Use this for a failproof installation, but feel free to use a newer build. Usually it will not be a problem.
I prefer Pico Gapps so I have the bare minimum as system apps. And I live by the KISS Principle. All other gapps I need are installed as user apps so I am allowed to use Titanium Backup to backup/restore them with data.
If you would rather use another Gapps package just pick the one you want. All packages should work but the Aroma. Aroma does not work in TWRP 3.
4 - Xenial Kernel - thanks @Jairus980:
Xenial Kernel: [Hlte][Xenial-b26x][02.01.18][N7.1-GSM].zip
Kernel thread: [Kernel][Xenial][Hlte].
With Xenial you have some fixes like the correct charging current in lock screen and working Gravity, Linear acceleration and Orientation sensors. Of course there is a lot more under the hood. If you plan to do some kernel tweaking Xenial offers more options.
If you do flash Xenial kernel do not report any bugs in RR thread. To report a bug you must first go back to stock kernel by dirty flashing RR and Magisk. If you are still able to reproduce the bug then you may post it in RR thread.
Even if there is a newer kernel release, you should keep using the build I posted here to have my tested stable setup.
Special thanks to @gj86 for his Synergy Kernel, used in my previous setup. It is also a great option.
5 - GPS Fix:
In this setup there is no need for a GPS fix. GPS is fast and rock stable as it should always have been.
But you really must update your modem to my recommend Nordic QB1 or GPS will be slow or not work at all.
Do not worry about your current location. The modem will work not matter where you are.
Latest RR builds somehow made GPS fix slower. I checked the gps.conf file and it is exactly the same as in previous builds.
I have my own optimized gps.conf, prepared originally for Marshmallow CM13, with a few more adjustments for Nougat.
After installing my gps.conf in latest RR build, gps fix is back to normal, taking only a few seconds.
I prepared a flashable zip to install my gps.conf. It saves existing gps.conf and put mine in its place.
Download it from here: Fix-GPS-for-hlte-la14.1-based-roms-v1.zip.
PHASE 3 - Backup!!
Now it is time to make backups of your current setup.
Use TWRP to make a nandroid backup. You will need it if something goes wrong. If you are paranoid like me make two and save them on your PC hard drive.
If you use Titanium make also a Titanium full backup. Remember that you should never restore system apps or settings. Use Titanium only to restore user apps and xml backups of wifi passwords, call log and sms messages.
The steps to install the new ROM will not erase your internal storage, but why not make a backup of everything to your PC or an OTG USB Drive.
PHASE 4: Install
- Make sure you have updated TWRP and your bootloader and modem as instructed in phase 1
- Make sure you have all files downloaded from phase 2 in your phone - preferably in external sdcard
- Make sure you have backups!!
- Reboot into Recovery (TWRP)
- Use advanced wipe to wipe System, Data and Cache
- Flash RR-N-v5.8.5-20180101-hlte-Official-vidwhal.zip
- DO NOT WIPE ANYTHING
- Reboot System (be patient - it will take a while, around 3-4 minutes)
- Pick your preferred launcher
- Check Settings->Date & Time and make sure it is ok
- Reboot into Recovery (TWRP)
- Flash [Hlte][Xenial-b26x][02.01.18][N7.1-GSM].zip
- Flash Magisk-v16.0.zip
- Flash open_gapps-arm-7.1-pico-20180311.zip (or the one you prefer)
- DO NOT WIPE ANYTHING
- Reboot System (this time it will be faster)
- Go to Settings->Accounts and add your google account
- Customize your other settings
- Run Magisk Manager and check if SafetyNet passes
- If not disable/reenable "Magisk Hide" option in Magisk Manager Settings and try again
- Restore/install apps/data
- PROFIT!

wow, nice to see that someone using and "sharing" my builds
but a little tip for you, maybe you can ask me first before you post something are modified from me, no offense and i saw that includes my name on it.
just remind you and i think i will keep building this when i'm free, anyway, thank you for posing this. all good.
EDIT: also i think there is no need for removing magisk separately, it's fine for flashing newer magisk over the older one.

Sorry, you are absolutely right.
Thanks for being cool with it.
The main point in changing the rom zip is removing the magisk manager system app. It is a little tricky for noobs to remove the system app to be able to install the v5 beta Magisk Manager.
And thanks again for making your fantastic RR build available.
Thank's for your work. I installed all, but then I had a problem. When I try to open settings/apps, it crashes everytime....

This does not happen in my phones.
In my work phone I have 600+ apps installed. It takes a while to open but no crashes.
If you post a logcat I may be able to help.
I reinstalled everything, and before made a full wipe, also of the internal storage. And the problem was no more present! Wow! And thank you again...
I checked AFH and have 30+ downloads of installation files.
Any more success or failure cases? Please let me know.
This might be a silly question: You wrote I should download the latest NORDIC COUNTRY Bootloader and Modem.
Is this also correct if im not living in an other region or should I download the one from my Country? Thanks.

AFAIK it should work for you no matter where you are.
I live in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil and use it.
If it does not work for you just flash another one.
I tried the Nordic ones and everything seems to work. Not a killer but would be great: is there a way to get SPen functions inclidung Air Command? Thanks for the help.

To use Sammy Spen apps/features you need a Touchwiz based stock rom.
There are some apps with similar features for AOSP roms.
Many users say the best is SPenCommand developed by @emandt. It is paid but users say that the app is well worth the price.
Check the SPenCommand Google+ Comunity.
Great post. I don't see google assistant working, any clue?

I installed SPenCommand but the App doesn't open. When clicking the Icon nothing happens. Anyone knows about this Problem or knows another app for this?
Beside that everything (incl. Batterylife) seems great on this first day of testing.
I have followed your step to instal, wipe dalvik/art, system, data & chache. Flash ROM then reboot.
I got 'Could not do normal boot'.
Enter TWRP again and instal synergy kernel and reboot, I still got 'Could not do normal boot'.

I have never used SPenCommand myself. Just read good things about it many times in other threads. Try to search and get help from people who are using it.
You may also check these apps: Note Buddy (S Pen Helper) and CM S Pen Add-on(ROOT).
And this guide on them: The Ultimate S Pen Customization Tool for Your Galaxy Note 3.
But be advised that I have no experience using these apps. Just found them using google.

Sorry I can not be of help here. I only have the hlte N9005 international Note 3.
Maybe you could replace Synergy RC9 by a kernel that you are sure works with your N900S.

[ROM] Oreo test builds

Alright, after way too long, I've finally gotten oreo working well enough to test. Please note:
These are beta quality, not suitable for daily usage yet.
Known issues will be listed. Anything not listed should work (but not everything has been tested).
Tested with opengapps micro arm64 8.1.
If you would like to test nougat upgrades, please let me know how that goes. I have only done a clean install so far. Keep in mind that you will need to flash oreo gapps, as gapps persistence does not work across versions.

Hi tdm. I flashed the updated TWRP (3.2.3-0) but when I try to backup the partitions (system, boot, data, cache) the recovery only recognizes the internal storage but it doesn't recognize the external microSD card (which has a bigger storage size). I am attaching some "screenshots".
Thanks in advance.

Okay thanks I'll look into it Monday. In the mean time use internal storage or side load.
Here is a list of bugs!
You may already be aware
I know this is Beta and you are still working on it.
[TWRP BUGS AS OF NOW]
- Not Recognizing External SD Card [Fixed As Of 10/09/2018]
- It Says That Gapps Is Already Installed Onto The System... But, It Still Flashes Gapps Regularly
[Not Sure If This Is A TWRP Bug Or System Bug... So, I Will Put It In Both Bug Lists!]
[BUGS AS OF NOW] (My Testing)
- Privacy Guard (system installed root), Magisk, and SuperSU do not work, encrypts device every time.
- If you click the home button and then click square (recent apps) button and click the app you just closed out of, it crashes SystemUI and then when you unlock the phone again it will be back in the app but... You are stuck in there no matter how many times you click the home button... stuck! (Just click recent apps (square button) crash the SystemUI and you will be out!) [Fixed As Of 10/09/2018] [tdm's Local Sources Were Out Of Sync!]
- It Says That Gapps Is Already Installed Onto The System... But, It Still Flashes Gapps Regularly
[Not Sure If This Is A TWRP Bug Or System Bug... So, I Will Put It In Both Bug Lists!]
- If you go to recent apps inside of any app it crashes SystemUI (Recent Apps Meaning Square Button On Navbar) [Fixed As Of 10/09/2018] [tdm's local sources were out of sync!]
- First boot and every reboot, Device Fingerprint mismatch [Fixed As Of 10/09/2018] [tdm's local sources were out of sync!]
- No Charging Notification Light! (Not really a bug... Just not yet implemented... I think!) [Fixed As Of 10/11/2018]
- In the settings, it says finish setting up Pixel Device
- Have to repeatedly keep clicking flashlight button for it to turn on! You only need to do this once though. [Fixed As Of 10/09/2018]
- In the slide down quick settings if you hold down the WiFi icon and turn it on... it doesn't really turn on lol (Not To Be Petty!) [Irrelevant As WiFi Is Working!]
[End Of Bug List]
Other than that it is pretty great... the navbar vibrations feel really nice
The settings look amazing compared to 7.0
The Power Off and Restart Menu... Just Beautiful!

I was literally just about to post the same exact thing. Luckily I have a computer... and I didn't want to redownload so I flashed the old TWRP and copied AOKP Oreo and Gapps and Magisk onto my pc and then installed the new TWRP and copied them onto the internal storage and flashed that way... But, it does suck for users without a PC.

The exact mismatch it says on first boot is:
Title: Android System
(It Doesn't Say Title or Details!)
Details: A vendor image mismatch has been detected. Typically this means your vendor image is out of date. Please ensure your vendor image matches NMF26V.
OK Button.

Also, after re-installing AOKP 8.1 a second time the WiFi seems to be working... maybe just a bug there!

I usually make backups using the external microSD card, so the problem mentioned above stopped me temporarily. I didn´t know how to do a backup to the PC but I investigated. If someone else wants to know how to make/restore a backup to/from the PC here is the procedure:
You need to have installed ADB on your PC.
You need to enter in recovery mode and connect the phone to PC with the USB cable.
There are two backup & restore commands: adb backup --twrp / adb restore filename.ab
Enter the one you need in the command prompt.
In the command prompt a message will tell you to unlock the device and swype to confirm the backup/restore action.
@tdm It looks like in the updated TWRP there is no connection with ADB. When I tried to make a backup with the "adb backup --twrp" command I got the following message:
adb: unable to connect for backup: no devices/emulators found
Also the result of the "adb devices" command is an empty list where there should be a device or devices.
Finally (this probable is only informational) after ejecting (on Windows) the "USB device" (the phone) I get this string inside the message:
Device "Google Nexus ADB Interface"
Regards
I got several of the issues fixed today:
* sdcard in twrp.
* recents crashing systemui.
* vendor mismatch warning.
The last two had already been fixed, but my local sources were out of sync.
I'll do another build tomorrow with the above.
Worked on fingerprint sensor most of the day today. It's proving to be a major pain, just like the camera.

Dang, I was hoping you would do a build today! I've really been itching for some Oreo!
New builds are up.
TWRP r2 has the sdcard fix. Note that I've been building with toybox instead of busybox. This seems to work fine, except for one thing: gapps install and persistence requires data to be decrypted because it wants access to /data/local/tmp for temp files. I'll look into this and either fix it or switch back to busybox.
AOKP and Lineage 10/10 have both been uploaded. Recents button should work and vendor mismatch should be gone. I'm continuing to work on camera and fingerprint sensor.
Enjoy!

And below is a quote from his release, where he mentioned in his t0lte thread all the involved devs and credited to all the people helped to get pie running for our "old" devices.
This work is heavily based on works of PoisonNinja, Option58 (thanks for device tree, kernel and device patches for LOS 14.1).
A full credit for Pie bringup goes to rINanDO (thanks for device tree, kernel and device patches for LOS 16.0).

Hi, thanks for your great job!
Almost features are fine. I recognized only two stuffs for now.
** 1) phone call **
I set up a VoIP phone app on a phone which was flashed this rom, and called another phone.
The echo back is heard on the VoIP app side, but I could not hear the voice I talked on the receiving phone.
Do you think above phenomenon is related your attention "Call recording, call forwarding and else" or not?
2) FTU was appeared a few times
When I started using this rom, FTU appeared twice or more after I went through FTU.
But as for now I don't see FTU anymore. Thus, this is a trivial issue.
Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing the next updated version!
small update
Hi There,
gapps pico are working, but graphical glitches are occurring in youtube app, youtube browser is working fine, google films is working fine.
Bluetooth sending and receiving is working, device name is still wrong, shows still Galaxy Note 2, which does not matter and can be changed in settings manually.

Hi There,
made a new version nd its uploaded now.
Based on yesterday evening leo sources and small update in device source.
- Youtube App is now working and Google films too
No other bigger changes.
And since there are no reports yet about serious problems, I changed the status to from Beta testing to bBeta.
Whats App, Instagram, Facebook and other messengers as well as other social media apps needs testing and would be glad, if someone can report back.
GPS most probably won't work. I am getting no satellites and no fix

Im trying to install this custom rom but everytime I got stuck on LineageOS loading logo forever. Anyone have this problem too?
some problems...
on 20200118 ver.
1) following apps sometimes crashed.
LINE, Adobe photoshop express, Amazon Shopping, Proton Mail.
I felt these apps often crash especially when a first invocation and registering an account to every app via network.
After registered my account, crash frequency decreased.
2) following apps couldn't be installed by Google Play Store
LINE, Google Drive, Google Spreadsheet
* For LINE, I installed older apk manually.
I cannot download 20200121 ver. via AFH yet. I'll test further after the rom is updated.

Have you wiped out data, cache, and Dalvik cache before install the rom?
If you didn't yet, try it but ALL OF YOUR DATA WILL BE CLEARED!!
Be aware of what you're doing and do everything at your own risk.
I got the same issues .
I keep it stuck there for almost 40 minutes 2 times but it didn't work.
@rodman01
I intend to flash and test the ROM this weekend. However, I've issues to download it as AFH doesn't find any mirror. Do you have another DL available?
Another question: Anything against not to use your given and linked root solution but to use Magisk? As you provide a separate root solution, I assume Magisk is not incorporated into the ROM.

Depending on from which rom you are coming, it could be better to flash an other custom rom first. You can try RR or cm14 and test whether this is working. And if yes, that follow the steps in op for a new and clean installation. It can also depend on the recovery you are using.

Sorry for the issues with afh. I will try to fix it with uploading the version again.
@Oswald Boelcke no specific reason why I linked the root to leos. Magisk should work as in previous versions. I tested it a couple of weeks ago with a prototype version and it worked. So its worth to try magisc, yes.
Rom new uploaded, afh should find mirror now. Sorry for circumstances:

I could install all your mentioned apps via google play store. It last a bit, the download is not fast, but worked on my end. Amazon is crashing on my side too, the others not, but I haven't tested them much, because I don't have accounts or ids for for example photoshop express or want to create or share my phone number or personal details.

[GSI][10] Lineage OS 17.0 For Galaxy J6

DICLAIMER
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
This is still mostly a LineageOS team / PHH @phhusson effort, credits to them and all associated for making all this possible.
No guarantees that everything would work. This is a GSI, bugs are bound to happen.
[GSI][10.0] Lineage OS 17.0 Galaxy J6
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS GitHub repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, Gerrit code

Ok so I have a bug while using this rom(j600fn). Except from the casual sim calls, I also get this even in apps, for example messenger. The problem occurs not all times, but it's not rare, someone calls me, I pick it up and I can hear them but they can't hear me. After they hung up and call me again everything works fine. Any piece of advice? Thanks for reading and also thanks for keeping the j6 alive.

Help
Can this be installed on 32bit one ui? Asking this because i saw many arm64 gsi where it said not to install on 32bit one ui
some things that i can relate and maybe will help you with debbuging
!!this was meant to be posted on reddit but lineage community is all sicko about unofficial builds!!
model: Samsung Galaxy J6 (j600GT/DS) 64GB 3G
Let's get started:
IMGUR link: imgur. com /gallery/E76ffQF
Camera issues:
1- video streches and morphes as i turn the camera (SOLVED: downscale video settings to 720p)
2- recorded video file corrupted (3 seconds video turn into 30sec video with just a static image and sound) (FIXED: install camera2api module with magisk)
Calling/Broadband issues:
3- LTE/phone signal too low, sometimes NO SIGNAL
4- Calls don't work in loudspeaker mode
Battery issues:
5- Battery takes hella time to charge (2 hours in ONE UI, and in LOS i plug the phone, go to sleep, and wake up in the next day in 80-90% [still charging]. Comparison made with a non-turbo charger, starting at 15%)
6- Battery drains hella fast, i need to keep my phone in Battery Saving mode to make it last almost to the end of the day (on ONE UI it last until midnight with 10% left) (i also tried deactivating the AOD, but it is not what is consuming all of the battery). (ammenized by turning off AOD)
Play store issues (it's more of a question):
7- some apps (like netflix) count as "This app is not compatible with your device", is that because of the security of lineage not being approved by google?
i also have some questions on things as:
q1- does lineage have a app like samsung's theme store? and can you customize the AOD?
q2- will i receive normal updates as i'm using an UNOFFICIAL release?
EDIT 1:
-whatsapp video call gets all black, but the video is rolling on the other user's phone
I have a fairly serious bug every 20/30 minutes the device restarts me on my own. is there a solution?

Is work samsung pass with root?
Its support VOLTE ?
Well,
I gave it a fair shot. Had trouble getting superuser, untill I read somewhere that Magisk is breaking things like adb. Also some other functions apparently... So SuperUser it was..
However... things happened that made me revert to the previous version:
- The device reboots regularly, like twice an hour.
- LastPass refuses to start...
- Battery drain
- File Transfer over USB (mtp) is broken
pity...

well, it took me a few nights but i found the problem.
so basically, when you flash the vendor file it flashes magisk 20.X
but the rom has it's own su built in!
so magisk and the phh su fight and cause random reboots.
this is the procedure to fix the issue:
1. open adb
2. type "adb shell"
3. type "su 0"
4. type "/system/bin/phh-securize.sh"
5. download magisk 22 apk, and rename it to be a zip file(just change the .apk to .zip at the end)
6. flash it in twrp
7. rename the zip to apk and install it, or just download it again and install it.
8. you're done!
i got mine to work perfectly after that. no battery drain(except for AOD), mtp started working again and all the problems were fixed.
please let me know if it had worked out to you!
Well, been a long time now... Good to hear someone did find a solution.
I never read this until now, and I got a different phone now.
But hey, maybe I'll give it a try once I find some spare hobby-time. I still have the device.
Cheers on you for making it work!
