Slickwraps Note 4

Just got an email from Slickwraps announcing their skin lineup for the Note 4. I like to keep my phones in a case, but I've had a good experience with them in the past with my M8. Anyone thinking about picking one up? If you don't mind placing one on the front, it looks like a good option to cover the curved sides of the glass.

They are awesome. This was my m8 with one of my favorite designs. They don't really touch the screen and typically if they are full screen you have the ability to get a screen protector that only covers screen.

Slickwraps is the ish. I just ordered the white leather finish. We'll see how that goes. Really curious to see how it feels in the hand.

Skins

Thinking about moving from a case to a skin. Was curious if anyone else has skinned their M9, and which brand you used. Don't want to fly blind if someone has had a good or bad experience with theirs.

I have used 2 d brand skins and they look nice it's just hard to get them perfect on the curved corners on the phone.

Yeah, I use a hair dryer to heat them up so they conform well.
dbrand has great video tutorials on their site.

Slickwraps are the way to go. Had them on my last 3 phones.

I've used dbrand and slick wraps on my last few phones. Can't go wrong with either. Dbrand carbon fiber is a little slippery though.

Slickwraps is really good. I've been buying wraps from them for many of my devices and they are excellent. I stopped buying from them though, because when I got a wrap for the M9, it lasted only about a week because it started too detach from the sides. I contacted the company and they said they couldn't do anything to help me. I was surprised because they are always very attentive with their customers. Regardless of this situation, I can say that their wraps are just great and would recommend them to anyone. I'll probably get a glow in the dark one once I'm over this little inconvenience.

Vinyl skins can be manufactured very cheaply, but in my experience, you get what you pay for with this kind of stuff when it comes to fit, durability, and appearance.
And it's not like name-brand skins are that pricey. I just got the mahogany front skins from dbrand, and the fit and look are perfect. $5 with shipping.

Who's going this route and not the case/sleeve/naked route? The 2 popular ones I found are DBrand and SlickWraps. Both have confirmed 6P cases are in the making. Personally, I want to go DBrand IF they have that coloured X logo from last year's Nexus. Anyone used either of these brands before? How are they?

I've used both. My preference is DBrand. Just based on product quality and accuracy (and the people who run it are funny as hell). I'm planning on finding a bumper or hybrid case with a clear back just so i can put some wood grain on the back of my 6p

Can confirm. For skins go dBrand all the way.

Yup, I was planning on the DB carbon fibre skin. Does the wood skin react terribly with moisture/wet hands?

Not sure about the wood skins in particular, but in the past when asking them if their skins were waterproof (I had a Z Ultra at the time) they told me the skin was good for water submersion. Which I did. And had no issues with the skin peeling whatsoever.

If slickwraps makes the Stormtrooper wrap.... you bet your @$$ I'll be rocking that on my white 6P

I've been using both since the original Nexus 6. Quality of both are excellent. However, dbrand takes FOREVER to get to me (over a month,) where slickwraps I'll receive within a week. It I recall correctly, the Nexus cutout on the dbrand were a little better though. I'm located in CA, if that has anything to do with how long it takes to receive.

Dbrand by a mile, because the fractions of a millimetre and extra quality counts.

Does anyone like Toast?
No love for toast? They do wood covers for phones which feel good and are quite unique! so if you wanted that Moto Maker style wood back on your nexus then have some Toast.

Are you guys planning on doing both the Galaxy and Hero wraps for the 5X and 6P? Maybe even some of the new characters from Episode 7??

I've used both Dbrand and Slickwraps. Slickwraps seems to have a better selection and better shipping. Dbrand seemed to have just that extra little precision that made the nexus 6 skins a wee bit better. Both were good products. So... pretty much what others have already said in this thread. I don't have a preference between the two.

DBrands by a mile. You are buying a premium phone, why would you go with a company who's standards don't compare? Dbrand definitely makes a closer-to-perfect products with its cutouts.

Curious to know if the limited edition colored 'X' for Nexus 6 by dbrand works for the 6P...

Can someone with drand skin experience answer a question for me?
I'm interested in the white carbon fiber skin, however this question is fitting for all of them I'm sure.
How much friction does the vinyl skin allow? For example: I always place my phone on my lap when not in use - how easy does it allow the phone to slide off of some jeans? This is the main purpose I would have for skinning a phone - because the oem painted texture is slick as all hell.

I'm getting the frost color 6P. What skin color/texture do you guys think would work well with it?
I got frost because it's such a beautiful color but I know a skin would probably work better for me than a case because the phone is already large and adding a case will add to the bulk.

The graphite 6P with white carbon and black carbon camera and logo looks ridiculous. Need a graphite 6P for that black fingerprint reader and dark sides. Great contrast.

That looks really good actually! I have frost coming so I skinned the front, sides, logo and camera. Should look good in a clear case too! Or maybe without the front or camera?

Uhhhh yeah... No, maybe? I'm betting a TGSP won't go edge to edge like the skin will. I could be wrong. These skins are cut really precise, so putting it on top of something else might leave gaps at the edges.

I've had a front skin from dbrand before. It has a slight lip on it so no. I personally wouldn't buy a front skin again. I hated when my finger slid into the edge of it.

I'm not sure which one to go with.

I order a Skin from China, forgot the link tho. It's Carbon Fibre Texture, Feels like it and it's so FREAKING GOOD. The G logo is from DBRAND for Pixel device. The bumper is metal and Black coloured also from China. Total spent is just around 35USD

How does the carbon fiber feel? I had a matte skin on the back of my OnePlus X and liked it a lot. The only skins I can find for the Honor 8 are from Skinomi, SlickWraps, and some Asian vendors on eBay.

How do you like this? Could you compare this case with the tpu case that came with the phone? And also what do you think about the screen protector? I got iq shield from amazon but not happy with the fingerprints.
