Did you turn up the sensitivity on setting. Have a look. If not Maybe try turning it up anyway and seeing if that makes any difference.

Left-hand friendly One note app?

Couldn't seem to figure out if i could do this on my own so i came here for any advice!
Basically, i was wondering if you could take the one note app that looks a little something like this:
View attachment 2403414
and change it to be something a little more left hand friendly. Perhaps something like this?

It's a minor change but if you're a lefty taking notes on this device, it makes a HUGE difference. Often times, when bringing my hand down to the device to write, my hand will accidentally touch another note page and switch to that note page. It's quite annoying!
Also, i've tried specifying which hand that i write with, setting it to left handed, but it doesnt seem to make any difference at all. Makes me wonder what it ACTUALLY does....

Fellow lefty with surface pro 2 here. I know your problem.
Solution:
Use fullscreen
Hold your stylus closer to the screen when approaching it, so that touch input gets deactivated.

It changes the location where the context menu appears when you right click, so it is not hidden below your (left) hand.

Is it me or is the touchscreen of the S6 very sensitive?

Does anyone noticing that the touchscreen on the S6 is very sensitive. The screen registers my touches even when my finger is not physically touching the glass. I like highly sensitive touchscreen but it can be annoying especially when I am scrolling webpages.

I might be wrong, but I think since the S4 or Note 3, the phone has had the ability to detect when a finger was hovering over a particular spot. Though that is probably incorect because I only vaguely remember reading something about that 2 years ago when Samsung started introducing crazy features like scrolling based off of tilt and such.

Yeah I remember this feature on previous Samsung phones, but there is nothing in the settings that indicates that there is such feature on the S6.
Screens don't even work with the note stylist.
I agree, it is SUPER sensitive. For me, this is a plus, because I tend to be too fast for most touch screens, and the extra sensitivity keeps the S6 on par with my quick hands. I actually love everything about this phone, and I am very picky.

But, does your device have accedental touches when swiping quickly a webpage or an app?

I don't have mine till later today, but, on the S5, there are two settings that may be affecting the issue you are having. Can you still search the settings on the S6? Look for "Air View" (main culprit) and "Touch Sensitivity".

No, my device doesn't have accidental touches, but my fingers do. lol
The device can't make me accidentally do it, it's not a fault of the phone

Both of those seen to have been removed as user options.

I would like to see the touch response time of this device's screen measured. It's seems very responsive .
Yes it does and it's really annoying. To replicate the issue, scroll down a web slowly and then lift a very little like 0.5-1mm of your finger while you scroll it up. So scroll down and then lift a bit and scroll up without touching the screen. When you do this fast enough, the page will scroll up following your finger movement without touching the screen at all. Weird.
The Air View feature was removed on the S6, it was present on the S5 and Note variants. Same thing with the Screen Sensitivity toggle from the S5, Samsung just opted to make the screen more sensitive by default.
i have an S5 and S6 so I was able to compare.
I used the S5 for about a week and the touch screen was great
once I got the S6 I noticed i keep accidently hitting back/window button . upon tinkering and testing I realized the screen is super sensitive. If you take both the S5 and S6 (one in each hand) and lay them face down on your lap together, the S6 will hit buttons (and thus vibrate), the S5 wont
Hello,
For touch screen problem try this:
-in dialer type *#2663#
-TSP firmware update (general)
You should see "PASS"
That have solve my touch screen problem...
i have the same problem when playing Clash of Clans because sometimes when i launch a spell the screen is so sensitive and it launches alone

Have that as well on my 1st S6 Vodafone EU 32gb.
Returned it for other reasons and will receive new one next week....
My touch screen was not sensitive at all, very unresponsive
I can verify that this indeed works:

I tried a reset, a full system restore, I tried safe mode, I tired uninstalling all apps, I tried screen tests and can verify for me, that this above solution was the only thing that fixed my problem.
Screen is working wonderfully now
Fix doesn't work for me?

I tried this and got an error message that this feature is not available on my service. I'm on US Cellular, I don't know if that matters or not. I saw this fix posted on another site and it seemed to work for a few people who were having the same issues that I'm experiencing. I'm not very technically savvy...do you actually dial/call this number sequence? How do I choose or command "TSP firmware update"? Thanks.
Some games are impossible to play because the screen is so sensitive it counts a touch as a swipe and some apps read as two touches. This happens consistently, not just here and there.

Not sure if it's just the way I'm holding the phone, but I frequently find myself turning on a timer, only to realise that I've paused/cancelled it like 2 secs after. Great when you put something in the oven and forget lol.

Touch screen sensitivity issue

Hi guys, apologies if this has already been discussed elsewhere. I've been using the Mate 9 for a couple of days now and I've noticed the touch screen sensitivity can sometimes be unresponsive. There has been a number of times where I've been on a browser or app and had to click on a link/button at least twice before it responds. It's the same when I click on the Settings button at the top of the notification panel and other areas such as the settings page.
I thought it was just me but I've gone back to my Nexus 6P and iPhone 6s to test, and there is a notable difference.
Has anyone else experienced this? It almost seems like Huawei have intentionally done this as the touch sensitivity elsewhere, i.e. lock screen, seems to work just fine.
Does anyone know if this a known issue and is it likely to be fixed?
Thanks in advance.
Same issue here I believe it has been fixed with a firmware update which has yet to land on my UK model
I sometimes experience some unresponsiveness as well, but told myself maybe it's due to the screen protector? Curious to see if others who took off their screen protector experience this same problem.
It's very minor though, for me.
I know the update was supposed to help and did but I just found a pressure sensitivity setting that allowed me to change the sensitivity which made a big difference IMO. I installed Quick Shortcut Maker and found it under settings. Made the shortcut and pressed it and voila I could decrease the pressure needed to respond.

No. Stock. I never saw anything similar to that. Installed app. Added shortcut to Pressure Sensitivity and then opened shortcut and moved slider all the way to the left to decrease pressure required.

Maybe it's the firmware I'm on MHA-L29C432B158
Yes it does exist AFTER removing screen protector.
Mine is too the point I may return it even thou I think it has a better camera than Samsung and LG

Edges are being cut/shorten on Instagram

Hello guys,
I am fairly new with Huawei phones and phones with a notch.
Especially when using Instagram (browisng stories), the sides of the app are being cut, like the image is just smaller than on a normal/different phone. So if there is a text just on the edge, it would be cut and you would not be able to read it.
I was wondering if there is anyway to fix it.
I heared there is something like "fullscreen mode" for apps, but when I go to Settings and click it, Instagram is not on the list. Could I disable it (cause maybe it is enabled), just for this specific app?
No root etc.
Kind regards!

Im experiencing the exact same issue. What you can do is hiding the noth in system settings. Then you`ll get Insta (including stories) in fullscreen. BUT: Then the buttons for Text, Pen, image dont react to your touches. Its a complete mess. Can you confirm the problems with touch in hide notch mode?
I will check my IG app in a sec, but I think fullscreen mode is only available for apps that don't support the display.
I think apps like IG that natively 'support' these displays just don't display in the fullscreen mode settings.

The problem still occurs with hide notch mode ON, it is a bit better, but still edges on the sides are being cropped.
@Ephixi4 yeah I reinstalled the app, but fullscreen is not an option for IG. So it seems like it is either problem with a ROM or IG problem with not displaying their content properly for different res/notches.

I use the finger print scanner instead of navigation bar, that seems to work just fine.
I really wonder if it's OS issue for cropping app like that or IG.
Hoping for workaround soon.
@Larlen so I have notch visible but I have my soft keys hidden and I use the fingerprint scanner as navigation button.
Had no issues with IG app, maybe because of that?
But it seems more that the app is not very well designed to fit these screens and notch. When you want to edit a picture the brightness toggle is cropped because of the notch.
Sent from my EML-L29 using XDA Labs
It doesn't seem to be an issue with the notch, rather an issue with the screen ratio, with the notch not hidden it's 18.7/9, and with it hidden its 18/9, and it looks like alot of the apps are not optimized for 2/1 screen ratios yet

Well, I wasnt talking about the system navigation. I use the fingerprint sensor, too. I was talking about the Instagram Buttons in Story Mode, when hiding the notch. The Buttons for editing a story pic, before you actually post it.
These Buttons (for inserting a text, or a gif etc) dont really work...
Can yoo confirm? or dont you guys just dont use instagram storys?

I can confirm this. The story buttons are not responsive. I can get them to work sometimes after tapping on them continuously but it's super annoying. However, I found out that swiping up opens the sticker menu so that's a workaround at least.

Well, yes, but when I swipe up and see the emojis, they dont react neither...
Have the same issue. The buttons are not responsive because they are in the notch area. I've found they do work when you tap below the buttons as if they were below the notch area. The phone thinks the are still in the same spot as usually but it shows them in the top corner.
My insta stories also cuts of edges from pictures I made vertically. It's because of the screen ratio. I can't get them right even if I cut it the right ratio with an other app.
Why instagram still did not updated the app. The problem annoys too much. Anyone knows a workaround?
I use the fingerprint sensor to navigate and not the classic Android bottom bar.
I just tried right now on a story: if I use instead the classic bottom bar, I can see the whole story. If I hide the bottom bar, then the story takes the full screen and it crops the edges, right and left...
As someone said, it has to do with developers and not the phone I guess.
I hope IG will fix it soon
hey guys i am using the nova3i and have the same problem. What sux more that my friend told me that even my stories are being cropped once seen by them on their devices .

Pop-up camera noise

Hi there !
Just got my Poco F2 Pro. I noticed that my pop-up camera is slightly tilted to the right (I'd say by less than one millimeter).
Moreover, opening it does not make any particular noise besides the mecanism, but when it closes, it sometimes (4 out of 5 times) make a small other noise when its movement finishes (don't really know how to describe it - but it's quite different from the buzzing sound of the rest of the movement). (And sometimes, a bigger one, that I heard only twice after something like 30 openings). Is that expected? Is there a way to calibrate the pop-up camera's mechanism?
Thanks a lot!

just to say that you could have posted on this thread otherwise try:
First to the menu using * # * # 6484 # * # *, then 3 dots on the top right and tool.
there is may be a calibration for the camera.
I cannot confirm it to you because I use a custom rom.
But I remember there a lot of calibration in these settings, I use it for the f.o.d only.

Hey
Just to let you know, mine is exactly like you describe, tilted to the right (when you face the screen) and there's a little gap on the left once it's closed (the right side is then very tight close to the body).
I didn't noticed any noise as you describe when it close (expect the regular one from the motor i guess), but i couldn't say it didn't or won't happen as i barely (not to say never) uses the popup cam.
Let's each others know if we find a "solution" to this "problem" without tearing the phone apart
Cheers !
