Root but left stock = OTA update
Rooted but change any system files or install other rom = NO OTA update
[Note: You can backup rom first in CWM and go back to stock at any time you want.]
How to root = look at my signature for link
I ota updated this weekend from Eaglesblood 2.4, which is cm 2.37. I just wanted the new baseband. Now, it did wipe my phone completely stock, even erased my nv flashed cwm.

Yes, but installing a new ROM will deactivate OTA's. Either way, rooting and installing a ROM is always newer than OTA's either way.

How can I perform OTA update on rooted 4.4.2

Well as the title says is there any way to install the OTA update on my rooted Note 3 with leaked 4.4.2?
I have SuperSU pro installed and ticked the survival mode. Can I flash the update somehow or do I need to unroot it install the update and root it again?
Thanks in advance for your help

you will need to do it again,
flash official 4.4.2 with odin then re-root and install your custom recovery ect
Wait the unroot option on SuperSU pro does not work? I am already in the 4.4.2 leaked version, but I want to install the latest OTA update available.
Once rooted, no more OTA updates. End of the story

KNOX is all about KNOX app, and is not related to OTA / Firmware stuffs.

[Q] Official Android 6.0 after unlock and root.

Hi, there.
I came from a Samsung device, I'm used to flash the stock firmware when a official update was out then root the device again.
I have a brand new Moto G3, locked and unrooted. If I do the process of unlock the bootloader and rooted the device will I able to flash a stock firmware and receive the Android 6.0 once it is out?
Thanks in advance.
Yes, as long as you unroot before the update. I use SuperSU for my root and use the SuperSU app to fully unroot before I update.
Just reflash the stock rom and relock your bootloader. You would be able to receive all official updates from Motorola.

Is supersu works in unrooting
Just fully unroot and then flash the stock firmware, relocking doesn't matter. I'm looking at you @kaustubh_lipare.

Not available there yet. I need the OTA file as well, I had gotten the OTA update, then ended up accidentally wiping /system while messing around getting it rooted, like an idiot. Managed to downgrade back to MM but bootloader was still showing BQJ2 version, so OTA denied all the same (cannot downgrade BL, smh). Ended up flashing Lineage 14.1 for now, until the OTA comes available.
Scoured the internet looking for the OTA, plenty of sites waiting for links so whoever uploads the OTA first, monetize your link, lol!

Magisk will have no effect on OTA updates. You only have to restore the stock recovery prior to taking the OTA update.
