I am using the US Cellular variant of the GS6 while on T-Mobile and am currently able to get Edge service or 2G from my understanding and briefly looking around T-Mobile uses bands 2,4 and 12 for LTE all of which I can select while in Service Mode but anytime I pick a LTE band I get no service, I am definitely not very knowledgeable with this and any help is appreciated if more information is needed please let me know.
You may have to call T-Mobile or go to a T-Mobile store and register the IMEI number of your phone with their system. That's what you have to do on ATT to get LTE
Hey guys,
My phone [XT 1550,Stock 6.0.1,Rooted] keeps on shifting from one LTE Band to another automatically. I want to force it to use LTE Band 40 only (Or any other LTE band).
I am well into modding stuff, so just go crazy, i can also flash cyanogen mod if needed for this.

just because your other devices have lte you have to check your carriers lte bands and make sure your sprnt note 5 supports the same lte bands also make sure ure apn is correct may not be the same apn as used on other devices carrier net 10 is known for this issue they got like 10 diffrent apns and each one randomly works on each phone.
ive had this issue with my verizon note 5 it didnt support lte bands of att so 2g and 3 g was all i got.
also try automatic.

then u have to search for ure specific carriers 2g 3g and lte frequncies if they support it ive seen many carriers in other countrys that still dont even support lte yet

i eddited to show only 920p bands now its up to u to find iff ure carrier saupports these bands
further note say ure crrier supports gsm band and say its 850 and their lte is for examp 900.
no lte still 2g .
just because a 2g frq matches a lte freq dont mean lte.
ure carriers lte bands have to match 920ps lte bands not 3g or 2g
i try to get this point across to many people and they dont understand
carrier and 920p both have to support the same bands in lte not crossing between lte and 3g/2g no mix and matching dont work that way each is a separate radio and each only pick up the bands specified

I'm from tunisia i have the same phone and it's locked (dont accept our sim ) how can i unlock it and there is a way to help me please ??

Theres a few guys on here claim to do it for free. I had no luck i getting ahold of them. I ended up paying for the idoneapps to unlock mine

Try this : https://www.frequencycheck.com/ choose your carrier then choose your device to check compatobility woth the chosen network.

is there any way to open LTE BAND 2 (1900) ? or any variant of this device that has it ?
I was about to buy one of this until I saw it does not come with band 2 which my provider uses, and now I will have to settle with a MI A2 Lite
any other recommendation? I want it to have IR blaster, FM Radio, and be around $200 USD. WITH band 2 open, that reduces my choices a lot, I thougth My search was over
Are you rooted?
If yes then you can give try to network signal guru from the play Store.
Go to band locking and select the LTE band and then select your desired LTE band.
