hello guys, i would like to thank XDA forum for the quality posts and tutorials that helped me rooting my phone.
I basically attempted rooting because i wanted to switch/swap my memories, since i was using a 4GB SD card and canvas has 1.77GB internal memory. I wanted to play NFS MOST WANTED on my phone that requires 2055MB data to be stored and accessed from internal memory.
Since swapping memory didn't helped i searched and found a method to create a secondary partition in my phone.
So i bought a 8GB memory and successfully created a secondary partition in my phone of 3.5GB.
Even now i am unable to play the game and it gave me same error that 2055 needs to be downloaded, clear some memory. Plz suggest me what to do. :/ any help or suggestion

after installing this i am unable to see internal space
hi, i was selecting 1.5 gb ebr files, after completing i am unable to seeing my internal storage space. in app storage it vl show only 1.5 gb. what abt my remaining storage. please help me in this regard

Thank you sooo much brother. I was actually selling my phone in a weeks time now just because of A117's internal memory. Now i will drop my plans, thanks a lot. Hope the phone works fine after performing this task. Super job bro.. Hats off....

No reset wont change it....It will reset Only If you flash stock rom through sp flash tool....Though if you want to flash stock then just untick ebr1 and 2 before flashing the rom.

Connect phone to pc. It will ask to format. Do it.

Hi there, when i connected the phone to the PC after selecting the EBR files and clicked on Download, the SP tools did not detect my A117 for a long time. It kept displaying "searching" in the status bar below. Also,no yellow prompt came up. I'm using Windows 8. Does the VCom drivers provided in the attachment have compatibility issues with Win8?

You wont be able to see internal eXCEPT the 1.5 Gb, I solved it. You need to reflash rom after ebr changes !

i have used your method for application storage from 1gb to 2.5gb for canvas magnus. It worked perfectly,but now my internal storage is not visible ,please help.

I do not understand what ebr means....So I did not replaced the ebr....Not I got 2 gb aplication memory and no internal storage space....Please help..I am only getting 2gb on application storage...where are the other 2gb space, can I utilize that space somehow?

Since out of 1.6 gb, 1.5 gb has been shifted to phone memory making it 2.5gb. So only 116mb left with the internal memory.
Its not a problem. Infact you flashed ebr files for this only na.
Thanks Nav , as i did the EBR changes the internal memory shows as 2.5 gb . i only installed 2 apps of 10 and 20 mbs ,now the internal memory shows as 2,.4 gb used and 100 mb free i unable to install any other apps as it shows storage full error .. can you help out please .

Make sure you have cleaned all the cache. Some app might be taking that space. Check individual apps in apps settings.
If problem persist, then take titanium back up of all ur apps n format phone. This happened to me once and i have to do this painful process of formatting.

please help me regarding my magnus problem
to increase space for internal memory for xtra apps
first i rooted wd framroot superuser than installed rootxplorer n edited file in root-system-etc-vold.fstab n changed wd text editor in place of sdcard0 i retyped sdcard1 n vice versa.
n than i rebooted cell but it only reboots upto first canvas magnus animation n than no process, screen remains on. i tried restore factory setting but still its same. i wanted to swap the memories but i landed in trouble. please guide me. im just beginner in this field.

I am using Micromax Unite 2 with Official ROM (Read Back of my own phone) (ROOTED)
Recently i have Upgraded back my Firmware to Official one, before that i was using
My Phone Rio Lite Jelly Bean on my phone. Everything was fine till then.
After i revert back to official Firmware on my UNITE 2, i am not able to download any data o my phone memory.
I have Repartitioned my internal memory as to get more App storage space. in setting whether i select Internal Memory or External SD card
my data is getting downloaded on my EXTERNAL SD CARD only.
after searching on this topic over internet i came to know to switch internal memory with external modifying vold.fstab
but i cant find it in my ROOT folder.
Please help me out of this !!!
did you flashed the stock ROM or you restored the Previous Backup you had ?
Is it 4GB or 8GB version ?
If possible try to Re-partition for once using the EBR files from kiran anto, See the video in my signature for links.

I have Flashed the STOCK ROM from SP Flash Tool.
its a 8GB Version.
its certainly mis-match of blocks.
try flashing new EBR files of any size and see if it gets fixed.
There are posts elsewhere that stock ROM available elsewhere was having incorrect memory blocks mapping and even lead to a Bricked Device.
I have a G92OF model and when i want to instal an app from the sd card i get this msg not enough storage but the problem is that i have more than 10GB free i tried to clear the cache but stril have the same probleme plz help me :crying: :crying::crying: how can i fix it

Hello there we have the same device (but I'm using xda on samsung tho) maybe formatting your sd card or soft reset or hard reset maybe that will help because its not famous.
