I have a D6633 which got stuck in boot loop after an update using Xperia companion.
Unfortunately I didn’t have any backup of my phone. I’m a noob who needs your help.
I then used flashtool to flash D6633_23.0.F.1.74_CE.ftf to it. During the process I wiped cache and applog and LEFT data. After this flashing, the phone still stays in boot loop.
I left data because I think there is away for me to backup and later restore my data.
In there a way I can root with locked bootloader and then install custom ROM?
Is there a way I can salvage the data.
I have searched the forum but I think this issue is unique. I thank you in advance for pointing me in the right direction.

Hi there,
my nexus one is stuck in a boot loop and crashed during the "X" animation.
It is not yet rooted but I'm able to boot into flashboot and recovery. If have data on the phone that I need to secure first before reseting or flashing it (like contacts, messages, not synced).
Is there a possibility to backup the data in any way? Or to restore the system without loosing data?
I've heard that with the N1 if I root it I will loose all the data, so this wouldn't be an option. Can I do something with fastboot? Or with the recovery mode?
One idea would be to somehow reinstall the last froyo update with the recovery mode (update.zip on sd card) and to hope that then it is working again. Is that possible?
Any help is really welcome. Thanks a lot.
Ok sorry wrong category here.

so no one got an idea? then it seems I have to do a factory reset unfortunately
Hello! I need help. I was on 5.0.2, rooted, and wanted to flash a 5.1.1. ROM. I have XZDualRecovery. So I booted into TWRP Recovery, and wiped everything( System, Data, Internal Memory) because I wanted it to be a clean installation. I don't know why I decided to restart TWRP, so when I did so, the phone restarted and stayed on SONY logo for a while. I tried powering it up with holding power+VolUp, power+VolDown, it didn't work. I can power it off with Power+VolUp. But it only gets to the Sony logo whenever I try to start it. The phone doesn't get detected in both cases, neither from flashtool nor from ADB. And it is pretty much useless now. How can I get out of this situation? I need urgent help..

Flash a stock ftf and start again.
If your wipe system and restart your phone you have no system to boot into, and because dual recovery is installed in the system partition you have wiped that when you wiped the system so you cannot boot into it again.

i've tried Sony EMMA but it doesn't support the D6633 (Z3 dual).

Use flashtool from www.flashtool.net
Hey guys, im really desperate right now
Had xz dualrecovery and moonbreakers rom installed and wanted to do a clean install. I wiped system (which wasn't very clever i know) and wanted to reboot into recovery.
But now i can't get into recovery no more, tried volume up/down directly after turning on the phone. It just gets stuck at the sony screen. :crying:
The led doesn't turn green as well as it normally does
Is the situation really as serious as this thread might suggest?

No other way of getting into recovery and flash the rom? Without flashing with flashtool
Edit: my bootloader is locked
When you wiped the system you wiped the recovery as recovery is installed to the system partition on locked boot loaders.
You should be able to fix this by flashing a stock for and starting again from the root process...

Thanks, that's what i thought.
Can i do this without wiping internal storage?
Ok, so I asked this in XDA Assist but can't post reply there.
This is what happened on my Xperia mini St15i, with firmware 4.1.B.0.587:
1. I turned on Bluetooth and the phone got stuck in infinite boot loop - apparently this is a known bug.
2. I decided to try out CM 9. Installed CWM Recovery and did backup on sd card and flashed CM.
3. I remembered that I did the backup earlier so I thought maybe there is a way to keep my apps and data.
4. I went back to CWM and restored from backup. CM didn't boot then, so I flashed back stock rom with flashtool and booted the phone. The apps and data was there( at least for one app which was very important), but contacts and messages were gone.
So my question is, is there a way to recover ALL user data from the backup? I don't care if it's on stock rom or CM at this point.
I hope some of you knowledgeable people can help!
Many thanks,
Paul
Can someone please help. :crying:
I managed to restore it with all the data by trial and error (I don't know HOW). Then at night the phone lost battery and is back to rebooting forever.
If I restore all via CWM and then flash stock, it boots up saying "Android is upgrading" and then keeps rebooting.
If I do a factory reset via CWM and flash stock rom, the phone is back to factory setting with no data.
WHICH partitions should I recover and which should I flash to retain the data??? HELP :crying:
