[Q] Flashing RUU zip from another region after MID/CID modification - M8Sd Dual SIM

For the last few days I have been trying to flash RUU from both China Telecom (M8SD Dual OPAJ40000) and China Unicom (M8sw Dual OPAJ20000) after necessary MID mod and with super CID on my Indian version of M8SD Dual OPAJ40000.
On both occasions the phone finished installation, But after an apparent successful flashing of the RUU, on reboot it does not finish the usual initial set up process. Instead the white HTC screen comes up and then the phone keeps on restarting. This then keeps on repeating.
So there must be some hardware difference between different M8SD models from different region and we cannot really convert m8sd to m8sw.
Any advice please? All I am trying to do is to get 4g/LTE working with Hutchison 3UK. Different ROMs e.g. Bindroid/Dr Oweida did not solve the issue (although I can select 4G it does not pick up signal). I have tried QXDM to add all LTE bands but no success again. Please help.

Hi, my problem is same as yours, no 4g in Singapore. I'm going to try to convert my Chinese M8sd this weekend. Which M8sw RUU you used?

Tried the conversion from M8sd to M8sw
1. flash M8sw RUU 1.21.1402.11, keep rebooting after a period of time, think due to no signal.
2. flash @schqiushui mod firmware for M8sw(MECDUGL), same issue
3. flash radio for M8sd included in the 2.21 firmware, both sim has signal but still no 4G
4. same condition as before but with lollipop 5.0.2
notice while flashing firmware TP is bypassed, not sure whether it affect the conversion or due to hardware differences. hope someone could help and am willing to try to make 4g works.

Thanks to OP for making this useful thread. I would like to ask some questions.
I have HTC One E8 Indonesia.
MID : 0PAJ40000
CID : HTC__044
S-ON
Version : 1.25.707.5 Kitkat 4.4.2
Condition: Unlocked, Rooted, TWRP recovery.
I received lolypop OTA update, but since I do not have kitkat stock recovery, it is impossible I can flash OTA update.
I decided to back to stock ROM by using RUU from India version. Hopefully somedays India will get lolypop OTA updates as well.
The steps that I will do:
1. Change CID number to HTC__038 (India version). MID is already the same.
2. Since it is S-ON, I will Relock the bootloader
3. Flash RUU Kitkat India by following guides from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2497614
Are these the correct steps? please correct me if there are some mistakes.

I'm also stuck in this situation.
Tried to update Marshmallow on my 100% working phone, which installed ok but I was not able to connect to wifi or sim networks.
I performed a factory reset (HBoot>Recovery>Wipe.......) and from then my phone doesn't pass the HTC logo screen.
it also shows the red message "this build is for development purpose only ......." under HTC logo and it never starts completely.
I have been trying to install all the ROMS available on this great website and others too but nothing suits my phone.
My phone is a: HTC One E8 Dual Sim | Model: 0PAJ210 M8Sb. I was using Android 4.2.2 on it earlier.

HTC ONE M7 CANT RECOGNIZE SIM AFTER INSTALLATION OF NEW ROM
First i got the ROM nesenseven 5.0.2. here and after installation my HTC m7_wlv cant recognize my sim and not just that my phone doesnt have an IMEI but even other thing is working wifi and more. i download the ROM nesenseven 5.0.2http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-htc-one/development/rom-nusenseven-sense-7-0-v1-00-t3056524 i did all required the pone I flashed the ROM is htc one m7_wlv and i installed sprint ROM with international GSM kernel version but after the installation the phone doesnt recognize sim i taught it was hardware but it isnt . It acts like as if its drivers aint installed and am using a Chinese SIM. PLEASE I NEED HELP ASAP

Download the stock rom for your device, double check the model, its probably a bad modem error, where your imei and baseband is null. Flash it and get back your device alive.

I can not find RUU for M8SN for Marshmallow. I mean. I found one but when i flash it i have this information again and again

If you can't give me RUU maybe you have just 6.0.1 stock deodexed&rooted for M8SN Europe?
I think E8 will not have an update :/

HTC One E8 NFC and sim card recognition problem on other cid/firmware

Hello, i have this phone, type OPAJ300 M8sn single sim variant and i changed CID to HTC__621 for flash "only one" available firmware on androidfilehost by DutchDanny, because main post for HTC One E8 RUU, CID, FW and etc... have a lot of download links without availability.
Before, i could not flash newer custom roms like LOS 15.1 and higher, because older firmware, but sim card worked.
After flashing newer firmware, european sim card cannot recognise, nfc dont work, but LOS 17.1 is doing very well.
I see some similar posts on this forum, but 0 comments, so i have a fear, "if can someone suggest me some firmware" and get my device fully working for European Sim card.
If not, i have to put it into trash.
