while i am trying to add any widget or app icon on homescreen, nothing happens, i can't add any widget/app icon to my homescreen. and while i am going to setting>home screen it says unfortunately touchwiz has stopped working.. please help me

Do you have twrp or Cwm installed? If so try wiping dalvik cache and cache. Or alternatively go into application manager, make sure system apps are showing through the more button as by default it is hidden. Find touchwiz home and clear data and cache

As far as I know there's no native support for this other than 3rd party stuff

No bro that feature is not implemented yet
is this only avail on Stock roms or does this work on nightlies or custom roms, i installed the latest CM12.1 Stock and installed and noticed this, but i want it on a nightly rom b/c i like it.

I'm getting the same, I'm on official COS 12.1-YOG4PAS1N0 with Trebuchet Launcher. Google Now launcher displays the search bar just fine, I think Google changed something on the 3rd. party implementation of the Search Bar and this is why it shows like this.

also too if u install greenify it seems for some odd reason to kill it also, even when i uninstall greenify too it still kills it

For some stupid reason I am getting 2 chrome app icons in app drawer. I have tried clearing data and uninstalling reinstalling both nova launcher and chrome ( updates ).
But still this problem presists. Moreover in Funtouch OS , there is only one chrome app. In app clone option also chrome is not visible.
When I try to hide it in Nova launcher settings ,both Chrome main app as well as Chrome 2nd app disappears.
And in settings->more settings->Applications there is no Chrome app to unistall.
Please help.

If you long-press on the "Chrome2nd" icon,do you not see the option to remove/uninstall it?
I have same versions. Can you try to uninstall Chrome's update? Also clear the data for chrome.

If I long press app info icon , nothing happens. If I touch/click it once it takes me to the app setting screen shown in above 1st screenshot.

Go ahead & uninstall updates,then disable the Chrome app.
Afterwards,side-load Chrome from APK Mirror (Perfectly safe,the folks @ Android Police run/own the site):

Atlast I factory reset my Nex. And now its normal.
Remove Chrome 2nd icon from nova launcher
If you are facing problem in nova launcher with chrome 2nd icon, try the following steps. It may be helpful ,I tried on my vivo v9 device.
Steps -
open nova setting
>advanced
>restart nova launcher .
Icon will be removed.
