[Completed] [Q] Help porting screw'd rom

Hi all.
First of all, I'm new of android developing, so please be patient with me
I've found this wonderful rom (Screw'd ROM) and I want to port it to the deivce I own, the Huawei Ascend G510.
But during build process, I had two error:
Code:
invalid conversion from 'ion_user_handle_t {aka int}' to 'ion_handle*
struct ion_allocation_data' has no member named heap_mask
If you want it I can provide the full output of the terminal.
I think that it's something with the device file.
I took the device files from another lollipop rom, here is the name of the Github account: SlimLPY300 (Slim-LP, the development is stopped)
Also we have Cyanogenmod12: CyanogenModY300
For what I know, we manage three huawei device: u8833 (y300), u951 (g510) and u8825 (g330) and the common things of these three device are in the "common blabla" project. Y300 and G510 are pratucally equal, and in fact in some roms there is only one download for this two devices.
I've alredy googled this errors, and I've found some thread BUT none of them solved the issue.
Does anyone can help me?

[Completed] Cyanogenmod for all devices?

Hi! i think that if you have a chinese phone you should be able to install a rom Cyanogenmod. It is true? I mean phones that do not appear in the list of supported or unsupported to download cyanogenmod. If so, how do I download a generic rom ? thanks!

Hi, thanks for using XDA Assist!
Unfortunately, to my knowledge, there are no generic ROMs.
Each device is different and there's probably no way to build a ROM to work on any device.

Install Honor V8 global rom

Hello,
Recently bought a Honor V8 in one of the local (cheap) store but they selling phones with chinese rom. I would like to replace the original one with a global rom what i found here :victory:. After unlocking the boot loader (bye-bye guarantee), uploaded the update.zip onto the dload folder of the SD card. However the phone still complains and not accepting this as a valid firmware. Probably i need to use TWRP or similar tool for this task, but i would like to know if someone done this before or is it possible at all?

its very risky since this device having different board and density size ! .

You can probably try and flash the original ROM again if it doesn't work. Not sure if it will break your phone using different versions

What's your phone model?

U are in right place as u said . but don't flash any update other than one made for ur model .. Else ur phone wil brick

Hi dears, no more details to how install global room to honor v8 I got that incredaible phone from china but have very few post / article to how change chiness room. Please help...

Some phones that are made only for the Chinese market will not be compatible with any new firmware. But always try to find the exact firmware that matches your device hardware before trying. The V8 is a completely different phone than the Honor 8. Do not try to use the Honor 8 firmware.

Need help with Winca s160 android version update

Hello
Many years ago I bought s160 head unit for my hyundai i30
Today after 5 years i desided to install it not too late I guess
Any way it’s android os 4.4 not supported for most apps
Can someone help me to update it at-least to android 5
I will be thankful for you

You have to find a Custom Recovery that's suitable to phone & you have to find a Custom ROM that's suitable to phone.
If both found then in 1st step flash the Custom Recovery, and if success, then in 2nd step flash the Custom ROM by means of the Custom Recovery.

Most articles talking about roadnav website but this site is not working
Sorry i am not an expert with that this first time i am trying to update a car head unit
Can you show me the way? Where should I start?

Do a Google search for both a Custom Recovery and a Custom ROM suitable to your phone: can't be so difficult, IMO.

Thanks i did that
It’s so easy for mobile but for car head unite it’s very complicated
As I understand
Rom has to match the model number
Build number the chip type
I didn’t find that custom rom that match with all of them
Any way will keep trying

I mean it’s not difficult to find rom for phone
But it’s difficult for car navigation system that’s what happened with me

Hi,
Unfortunately S160 RoadNav units are restricted to Android 4.4.4
I have a slightly newer Firmware available but get used to your existing Head Unit Firmware first.

I have S160 (M294-2) is there any new rom for it, roadnav site not opening for me !

Please post a photo (or list) of your About Device Screens.I need to see which versions that you have now.
