I have a Samsung S7 randomly suffering of overheating. This is making me mad cause for sure there is some app working also if not required in the background probably also using data.
Do you know if there is an app to monitor/identify this bad apps.
Cause i have hundreds of apps so for me would me hard to remove all of them...

That regularly happens (well at least it does on T-Mobile, where i am). Both my One S and MyTouch 4g (might have even happened on my Vibrant) exhibit that behavior. It has never stopped me from properly connecting though, perhaps you have another problem?
As for a reason why it happens, my best guess is power management.
mmmm.. I don't know... it, s a costant switching.. not only a simple change when you lost some bar of signal... sometimes this stop data connection as far as it choose one typ 3g or H+ and fix it.
I read that this issue are solved with update to android 4.0.4 but it's not true.
Maybe It's an issue related to fastdormancy function.. but I don't know in this case how to solve.. for galaxy S there is an app for fastdormancy but iT's not compatible with HOS.

There is a build.props option for turning off fast dormancy
ro.ril.fast.dormancy.rule=0
there is also stuff like this, but I'm always weary of editing my build.props in an undocumented way.

I honestly haven't spent more than 5 minutes on the stock rom so I couldn't tell you if there is a code for the One S that turns it off, but a google search turned up nothing (for both the hos and the hox), so my best guess is yes.
Ok thank you so much blinksilver

Hi all, during a videocall in skpe, the personal image is too big, and it's so annoying.. I could I resize that "image"? in the app there isn't any kind of setting about "my video".. so i tought that i could resize it by myself editing the app code.. but, i have a little/big problem..i don't know how that image is called.. how could i find that string in the code? how could it be called?
Thank you all in advance..

Hi, eddykoodoo...
Yeah, Facebook is a bit of a crawling horror of an app that drains your battery, chews up CPU cycles and makes your device run hot.
If Facebook is not a preinstalled system app on your device, you could try hibernating it with Greenify, which can be run in non-rooted mode...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify
Things get a little more complicated with Greenifying preinstalled system apps - you have to buy the donate version of Greenify and as I understand it, you also need Xposed installed, which requires an unlocked bootloader and a custom recovery installed.
An important point to consider when hibernating an app with Greenify is you won't receive any notifications until you proactively run the app yourself, and take it out of hibernation.
Hope this helps.

Ged.

The problem is even if greenify is an amazing app doing exactly what i'm looking for doesn't work if your device is prodected with a PIN.
Or better it work but after you open an app you already greenify it will stay open and you need to greenify manually i don't know if there is an option i miss

Yep, you're quite right.
I've just investigated this on my rooted Nexus 9, but with Greenify denied root access...
...and it appears that Greenify will not auto-hibernate with 'secure-key guard' (pin enabled lockscreen) **without root**.
My apologies for getting your hopes up.

It might be worth checking out some of the more lightweight 'web-wrapper' alternatives to the Facebook app, such as the following...
**Metal for Facebook & Twitter**
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nam.fbwrapper
**Swipe for Facebook**
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.happening.studios.swipeforfacebookfree
I use the Pro (paid version) of Swipe and its certainly a lot less resource intensive than the official Facebook app.
Anyway, just some thoughts...

Since mom samsung has taken away the opportunity to answer or reject a phone call with the voice would you recommend a simple app that is right for me?
Thanks Francesco
