[Completed] Headset not detected with mic unplugged. - XDA Assist

I've been searching the web for a while and I can't find any solutions to my problem, so here I am.
A few months ago I bought a new headset, the HyperX Cloud 2 wich has a removable microphone.
When I use my headset with my phone it won't be detected until I plug in the mic and remove it once there's sound coming out of the headset.
I use and Elephone p9000 with CM 13 installed. It's not the rom, as this problem occurred when I still used stock. It's not the hardware either as I tested it with my friends phones. I noticed that the problem only occurred on phones based on Marshmallow based systems. On kitkat and older versions the headset works fine, I have not tried Lollipop tho.
Is there any known solution to this problem? Perhaps I should change something in the software?
Thanks a lot

Hi All,

1.The issue am facing is Receiver is able to hear me while talking but I am not able to hear anything . Strange is when on Bluetooth and Speaker on am able to hear the receiver.
2.Auto rotate does not seems to work.
Request you to please advise if there is something can be done I am using this device and not interested to forgo .
Had another visit to the person who fixed he says there are no issues with speaker or connector. There should be an issue with board or something.
Should I flash the ROM when we do a replacement this is what I could sense from some posts but not directly related to this issues
Please respond. My current ROM is in my signature

[Completed] moto G earphones disconnects continuously

Hi.
I have this issue with ear phones. I use Sony MDREX110APLIE Wired Headset. I recently Rooted my device and I guess i dropped the phone once after rooting.
Whenever I try to use my earphones ( For calling/ music/ FM radio) It seems to get disconnected after running for like 2 seconds... I tried to use my earphones on other devices and it works fine... I have also tried using other earphones on my device and it still has the same problem :/
So can anyone tell me if this is a software issue ( Something like a kernel that i have to flash after rooting) or is it just simple hardware audio Jack issue. Is there a way to check if it is a software issue?
Thank you for any comments

[Completed] Yu Yureka Plus Issues with Display, Heating, Speed and Camera

Hi,
I am new to this but thought will post some of the issues that i am facing with my new 'Yu Yureka Plus' device and hoping to get some of them resolved
1. Auto Brightness -- Does not work (Adaptive Display option)
2. Heating issues -- While browsing the phone heats up and it also heats up when using the phone for about 20 - 30 minutes (Running an app)
3. Camera -- Some times slow and slower in low light and in low light with flash there is a pink shade in photos
4. Battery -- Charges very slowly with in Box charger
5. Call connectivity -- Friends have complained that my number comes as not reachable even when the network is available. This has happened more than 10 times in last week that i know of
6. Call clarity -- Its not good, i mean really bad sometimes. Some times the on the other end of the call people cant hear me speaking, I would have to disconnect and re dial
7. Lagging and freeze -- There is occasional lag in Chrome and it freezes also observer the same in dailler
8. Dailer -- Option to send SMS in recently called items are not available, this is one of the most used functions. We should also have option to send IM's also (Whats app)
Hoping these will be addressed in 12.1 update
Thank you in Advance

All issues are related to Media server and others, have already gone through most of them but none of them are helping with my issues. My query was are these being addressed in 12.1 and why does a release version 12.0 have these many issues.
Thank you

As you are talking about 12.1, I assume you are using a CM rom. In that case, the best thing to do would be to ask the actual CM thread where you downloaded your rom. You can also ask the 12.1 thread directly: [ROM][Official][5.1.1] CyanogenMod 12.1 Nightlies For Yu Yureka.
I am closing this thread now as you know where to ask for help.
Best wishes!

Low microphone performance

Hi,
I've already asked this question on Cyanogenmod forum but it was never answered. Here, on xda-developers I see that people encountered the same problem on HTC One Mini - low microphone performance while using Cyanogenmod (see this post for example: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc...m-cyanogenmod-12-unofficial-build-m4-t2985009 - I would like to take part in discussion but as my account has been created a minute ago I can't respond to a post in 'development' section).
Someone stated, that this is common issue of Lollipop - I'm not an expert but I wound't say so. My HTC One Mini performs really well in terms of call quality and reception. The only issue I have with it using Cyanogenmod is the microphone performance. Just after installing CM people I called complained that they don't hear me well (it didn't happen while using stock Android).
I would really like to try some of the unofficial CM12 for my One mini, but call quality (both way) is a critical thing for me. Is it possible to help fixing this issue? I would like to help. If providing any logs/statistics/other* makes sense then let me know.
Cheers,
Jakub
potential fix
http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/development/mod-camcorder-audio-quality-fix-t2837930 this may be a possible fix if it's the same problem as for the nexus 5. Somebody with android developing/porting knowledge should find if it is the problem occurring our One Mini and try to port if. And yes, I've tried to flash the zips from link with no luck
But there is no noise suppression option in HTC One Mini (both in stock ROM and CM).
Hey Jakub!
I am facing the same or a similar issue.
Microphone level seems to be quite low such that sometimes I have to speak quite loudly to be understood on the other side.
With my old SGS2 I also had audio issues but using a (wired) headset I had no problems. Unfortunately with One Mini, the headset's microphone does not seem to work
Did you try using a headset?

I remember that I've used headset with my One mini, but I don't remember if I was using CM back then. For sure I got complains only while not using headset. So probably problem is only with internal microphone. Anyway - such issues makes the Cyanogenmod not usable for me because I know how annoying it is when you don't hear the other end well.
And to make it clear once again - I've never got complains while using stock ROM and I find call quality & reception really good on HTC One mini when using stock. With CM only microphone performance seems to be worse.
I was using stock-based InsertCoin rom until I flashed CM12.1 and at least in terms of in-call audio, I also never had a problem either with the internal or headset microphone.
My guess is that the microphone sensivity simply is too low, which can also be observed in the voice recorder. When loudly talking into the microphone, either internal or headset, quality is fine.
Unfortunately, I also cannot make any comments in the main thread yet :silly:
Downgrading HTC firmware seems to work for me. I extracted the firmware.zip from the first OTA update available for the One Mini (OTA_M4_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.31.401.1 in my case in France) and flashed my device with it. I haven't tested other firmwares yet but here is a big resource available on the net with all you need for testing (firmwares, OTAs, RUUs, etc...). As I can't post URLs with my newbie status you can find it by typing "downloads for HTC One Mini by Krocko - Android File Host" in Google.

Nexus 4, Mic not working in Speaker mode. but works in voice record, and regular call

Hi there everyone. i need some help with a used nexus 4 that i recently purchased.
The mic does not work when i use the speaker phone in phone calls only.
i can make voice recordings in whatsaap, and other functions using the speaker mic works.
But when i try to use the speaker phone in a phone call, the other person cannot hear me at all, its as if i pressed 'mute' on the mic.
i searched the net everywhere i could think of, but only found people with the opposite problem, where the mic only worksin speaker mode for them, but not for regular calls, which is the opposite of my issue..
also another strange thing, when i plug in an external headset/mic, the whole phone becomes like one big mic, and any way i touch the phone, sounds like crumpling paper extremely loudly.....
does anyone know of a solid fix for this issue?
thnks!!!!

currently, its on ANDROID 5.1.1
baseband version: M9615A-CEFWMAZM
Kernel Version 3.4.0
BUILD LMY48T
could you please include a link, as a good trustworthy source for me to read as to how to do that on this phone? Im new to this... good wtih computers, but just new to flashing phones. last one i tried was on my doogee titans, and it completely bricked, it wouldnt even recognize being plugged into the charger. i wasnt succesfull in bringing it back to life. i want to be careful with this one.

well i never own nexus... what i can suggest just install minimal adb from xda... And then download last known official factory images from google or http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4 here... You can ask anybod here in general section.... People are willing to help just try to talk...
i was more like looking and hoping for someone who actually owned a nexus 4 and know about this specific issue and how to solve it......
it might save me hours of trying different things that may or may not work.
thnks though if i dont get any other replies ill just start by trying your advice.
