Hi,
My friend accidentally formatted his G700-U20, in a way I couldn't understand, since the phone was not rooted. Somehow, he managed to delete all the files from phone, including bootloader.
After that he managed to upload th firmware for the G700-U10 model, hoping it would work. Unfortunately, it helped partialy, the phone doesn't recognize sim card(s) - since the U10 is a dual sim phone.
Now I'm trying to fix this, but I can't get in fast-boot mode, and if I try to upload the UPDATE.APP file to the SD card, I get the error that the update was unsuccessful due to the wrong version of OS, since I managed to find the stock firmware for the U20.
Any help?

Hello people,
I've got a problem:
I've bought a Newman N2. Unfortunately I've updated the stock rom - and now I've got no more detection of my Sim card.
It has Firmware Newman_N2_00.22 - IMEI is also correct.
My Sim card works in another handy correct.
I don't know what to do - I've searched already here, but it didn't help me what I found.
Could it be something with the EFS Filesystem? Can I restore it somehow whitouth flashing?
I can't install the CWM. Didn't work for me. The fastboot doesn't work for some reason
Thanks in advance for your help!
There was an info on the newman forums about you must flash the phone without sim.
What if you try it with wipe before flash, and reflash then?
Didn't read that unfortunately... What can I do now?
Try to install the 00.20 FW, but wipe data, and wipe cache before it. And ofc without the SIM.
After it you can isntall the 00.22 FW. It is the latest.

00.22 http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=190980&uk=1143976775
Any luck? I found something. To go back to the stock FW you need to flash it via Windows.
"Warning: People who have the first Version of the Firmware ( Date 2012.12.13 ), they should first update to second version ( Date 2012.12.15 ) and then they can update to the last version ( Date 2013.01.12). Because you can get some problems with SIM."
Unfortunately only 32bit drivers included.

I read this too, was because of me this topic
I sent it to a friend, who will flash it with his box.
Finally flashed it to the basic firmware.
Also tried several other firmwares, resetting IMEI - also different sim cards.
We guess the SIM Slot should be broken. Does anybody know if we can order just the SIM Module Slot? Or it would be just the whole mainboard?

Yes, and after many trial and error, i got it to work. I got the phone fully working and i was beyond happy. so I bought an unlock code ($10) for it, and i went to put it in, i had to put it in a few times for it to take, but now it just keeps cycling between no service and and searching, but end result, i now have a fully working LG G3 with no signal with the SIM card i use, i popped the sim card back in my old phone, works fine, i called metro pcs n they said they can accept that phone no problem. so now im really lost, i re-downloaded the TOT and DLL and reflashed the phone twice just to be sure, doing a full wipe n flash. then doing factory reset to be sure I was making it a clean boot, but it still will not cooperate with my sim card. but it works fine when i pop a de-activated AT&T sim in it, But now any non-AT&T sim i put in, the phone doesnt really accept it. it doesnt prompt for the code anymore, but now it doesnt grab a signal.

Nevermind, the phone aaprently hard locked itself, thanks guys
Okay, so I recently bought a Nubia z7 max, and it came fine working, sim card worked in lte, all the bells and whistles, the version was a multilang version of the 1.64 official software, so i used the official update tool provided by to update to a 5.0 android version of their software so it would repartition my internal memory in a way that CM12 would work, it worked. All was fine and dandy until I saw a friends Nexus 5 able to dual boot(using MultiRom app from play-store) i was so jealous of him that i copied his build.prop to my phone in an attempt to make my phone think it was a nexus 5. My idiotic attempt got my phone in a boot-loop, this resulted in me flashing a 3.09 version of the nubia software on it then TWRP and finally restoring from my CM12 backup using TWRP. But i have a problem neither sim slots seem to work, i already checked and the sim card works(by putting it into another phone), and no sim works on mine. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me recover my precious phone. Thank you in advance.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Yeah, never flash or copy system files from a different device than you have. You most likely need to flash the stock firmware on your device and start over to get the sim to work again. The best place to ask how to do this is in your device specific forum. See here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/zte-z7/help and also this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/zte-z7

I send my unlocked and rooted Z3 to the sony repair center. They sent it back unrooted and updated to the latest bell firmware, I didn't check if my SIM worked or not at this point as I had a nandroid backup that I made before sending it in in case they decided to reset everything.
Steps:
Used flashtool to downgrade.
- downgraded phone with D6603_23.0.A.2.93 ftf on the XDA thread, first time bootloop due to drivers I think, reinstalled drivers and second time worked fine.
- ran giofroot exploit. used v3.1
- mounted /system rw with ES Explorer.
- installed Z3 Dualrecovery for locked BL.
Tried to restore my nandroid backup through recovery, system restored ok but got error 255 when restoring data. Bootloops when I tried to turn it on.
Flashed a clean build prerooted 23.4.A.1.232
This is where I noticed the SIM gets an invalid card message. Checked service menu for sim lock
it reads [ ] network 0 so it seems to me like SIM lock is not the problem.
At this point I tried downgrading using flashtool again to start from the beginning but it hasn't worked. Googled this problem but there was no definitive solution in any posts that I have encountered.
Anyone have a clue on what to do? Should I try to update firmware with PC companion and hope it fixes it?

I tried to put in a sim card from the original carrier however that did not work either. Anyone have any ideas what I should do? Phone IS detectable in flash mode, are there some options I can try?

So assuming something got messed up while restoring backup, it should be able to be remedied by flashing, correct?
Yeah, flash a FTF and wipe appslog and cache and boot without doing anything and see if SIM works

If anyone finds this thread later in search, I figured out why this happened to me.
When the repair center sent back my phone, it re-sim locked my phone, I needed to put in my simcard to get the sim unlock prompt and enter my unlock code again before I started downgrading firmware and rooting etc.
I ended up sending it back to repair center and they reset the firmware back to normal - I assume they have more robust repair tools than I do. Thanks everyone for the help.
I got this e3 that i flashed 3 different stock roms, and i can't get sim card to work on any of them. With or without sim installed i get a failed check picture and i can't use sim, tho other things work just fine. I have tried a central european rom, a rom made for my counrty, but im not sure weather the sim card is from that operator the rom is made for.
I took the phone form a frined to try and fix it since it was stuck in boot loop, so i've handled that and i'm not sure how to fix this :crying:
The roms we apropriate for the model, d2203, used the both latest one and the one before.
Did you resolve this?
I found that if you run flashtool on pro mode it will allow flashing of simlock.
I don't know exactly what's that but I hope it (and google) helps you
