This may seem really weird. I installed the saphire update and then reverted back to adp. Now my battery take a long time to charge maybe 4-5 hours. 2 hours for 20 % recently. And it doesn't go down easily. I listened to music for around 2 hrs. Called people and it still didn't even reduce a precent. Its the same 71 % like before.

Sounds like the battery calibration might be off.....
Allow the battery to COMPLETELY discharge and then recharge it COMPLETELY. Then let us know what happens
its the same man. I love it now. Battery doesnt dies and only thing i have to do is charge over night. Works for 2 days easily
people have mentioned their battery lasting longer with the new radio update. could that be what it is?
Maybe
It may be cause i have the new radio update from sapphire. Network goes of for a second in 30-60 minutes. It comes back. But surely it takes a large time to charge. Much more than previous.
I have Bamf 1.7 remix installed. The regular batty that came with the tbolt was crap. So I upgraded to the extended battery. Charged it fully last night while I slept. Since I unplugged at 7am, it is now 10am and I am down to 88%.
Is this normal? I am not a heavy user.
Also, should I upgrade to bamf 2.0?
thanks,
Rob
Give it about a week to "settle" in. It took me 10 hours to fully charge my extended battery when I first got it and had pretty terrible battery life as well. Now (About a month later) I can go from 7 AM to 10 PM with about 35% battery left after reading for about an hour, swapping ROM's out, playing some glow hockey (Half hour), talking for about an hour, surfing these forums for about 2 hours.
Like I said just give it a couple days.
Roger That. Thank you for clarifying!
use battery calibration to reset batter stats
I'm running bamf 1.7 stripped. I've been unplugged for 12hours and have 71%.
Basically as the title says, I've bought a "refurbished" one, but I'm not sure whether it's faulty, or whether this is just the average battery life of one of these things!
Woke up at 6am, I used it for about 30 mins this morning on facebook/ebay/bbc news through wifi. Send about 20 txt messages, 10 minutes on the phone. ANother 30 mins browsing/facebook on my lunch break. 12 hours later it's sitting at 17 hours battery life. And it's been on power save mode the WHOLE time. Is this just something I'm going to need to get used to or is mine just a dud?
LOVE the phone otherwise though
whats youre screen on time? do you keep data and stuff on when not in use?
The first couple of days it will be bad while it builds up cache. It will get better. You can try rooting it and putting a custom kernel in to make it last even longer.

1day 2hours 51minutes and 20s on battery with 43% left No power saver mode.
hey guys, am I the only one.....
after the last update, my battery went to [email protected]!
Initially I would get a good 24 to 28 hours. No, I barely get 8.
No other chnages...???
Did you try restoring your device to defaults? Maybe formatting a battery will be a solution (discharge it to 0% then fully charge - do it 3 times).
I bought mine on monday, it updated as soon as I started it. First charge of course took a toll from me playing with the watch, only 13 hours. Second charge, took it off the charger at 9.30 pm last night, used it for about 2 hours, put it on "do not disturb" until 6.30 am this morning, only lost 8% battery in 9 hours.
Now, after 3 hours of normal use (not much looking at it and light notifications) lost 3% so it's roughly doing 1 or 2 % and hour. Not so bad if it stays that way.
I hope to get it to 2 days of normal use, if it gets me there, it's a solid buy.
Anyone else agreed with this?
I can't say that I've had any bad Battery life since the update.... Last night I didn't put it on charge...I went to bed listening to bed with music playing.....had about 80% of battery....woke up around 8 am this morning and it was on 56% and I went to bed around 1 am or so...so 6-7 hours playing music over night with edge night clock on as well is pretty good.
Yeah and it now get quite hot FFS..
