Doesn't work with HTC One M8
Here's what I've done so far
1) Unlocked bootloader
2) Flashed TWRP recovery
3) Rooted phone with SuperSU-v2.78-201609011115.zip
4) Installed URPI.zip in TWRP
5) Installed the offical RemotePlay 1.5 apk
6) Used SuperSU app to disable super user
7) Used RootCloakPlus to hide root privileges from RemotePlay
In the end I get: "An error has occurred. (88001003)". I'm new so I can't post screenshot
Did I do something wrong?

Step 6 and 7 are wrong. Don't disable super user with supersu. Also, you need xposed installed as well, using rootcloak (the xposed module rather than official app from play store) to hide both remoteplay and supersu.

Also just want to confirm this works on oneplus one.

Would this method have any adverse effects if done on a Nvidia Shield K1 Tablet?

Hi. I have no issue getting the app to work and connect to my ps4. But I can't get my controller to work during remote play
It works everywhere else on my tablet just not when using remote play. I'm using the six access app, but can't figure out how to load the mappings you posted. Not sure if that's the cause of my problems??
Any help would be much appreciated!

Confirmed method works on Galaxy S5 running 5.0 and Galaxy Tab S running 5.1 hells yea, thank you so much guys! As for controller, I've just been using 2nd account method for now, sorry can't give more help than that.

-I see two flavors. One is an apk (XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk) the other is a zip. Which one do I need, or both? If both in what order do I install them?
-I'm running Marshmallow, so do I need sdk23?
-What architecture do I need (x86, arm, arm64). The HTC One M8 has the Snapdragon 801.
Thanks a lot!

It's all good brother. We appreciate your effort. I will check back in a couple days and see how much further you have gotten. I am going to test it on my Shield Tablet when you get it fully transparent and will report back with the results so you can update your compatibility list if you want.
Thanks again!

I'm done.
Updated the first post.
Got everything transparent. Now in testing Phase. I will do the fine tuning & release this week.

[Xposed] Multiwindow Apps Manager

Hello Galaxy Users,
I present you my first attempt to create a Xposed module for the powerful Xposed Framework by rovo89. This module allows you to multiwindow-enable apps that are otherwise not enabled by default by their respective developers. Unlike the unlimited hack, this module allows you to choose (enable/disable) only the apps you like with one exception - you can not disable the native multiwindow apps like gallery, solid explorer, etc. This works without patching apks or jars and it should work for all Galaxy phones/tablets that have multiwindow features like Note n7000, Note 2, Note 8, Note 10.1, SGS3, SGS4, etc. It enables multi-instance feature for Note N7000, Note 8 and SGS4 - multi-instance being the ability to launch same app more than once with some exceptions - not all apps can run in multiple instances like browsers, etc.
This module is on alpha stage so please give feedback to help me make it better.
How to INSTALL and USE?
1. Requires: rooted device (should work for both odex and deodex roms). Make sure you do not already have the unlimited apps hack or mod, otherwise this would have no effect at all.
2. Make a backup.
3. If you have not already, please install the Xposed Framework. You can find updated version HERE.
4. Download and install my Xposed Multiwindow Apps Manager module and be sure to check/enable it in the Xposed Installer module tab.
DOWNLOAD
5. RUN Xposed Multiwindow Apps Manager and choose the apps you want then reboot for changes to take effect.
6. A THANK YOU would be nice or maybe a cup of COFFEE to keep me awake in my MODDING NIGHTS.
NOTE1: Please do not repost this APP in other threads. I would appreciate it if you could just introduce and point a link to this thread to consolidate feedback.
NOTE2: To all ROM devs, you can include this in your ROMs with proper credit without need to ask my permission.
CREDITS: rovo89, tungstwenty, xda
sorry to say but I don't work for me on Energy Bean Rom
my steps
- installed apk
- set to on in modules
- reboot
- set a few apps to off
- reboot
but all apps are still there in MW
did I something wrong or maybe is it incompatible with EnergyBeanRom

As I said in the OP, if the ROM you are using already has the UNLIMITED MULTIWINDOW HACK or MOD integrated, then this module will have no effect. Just change the FlashBarService.apk and services.jar from the original stock rom.
oh thanks,
I didn't read well
sent from my G-Note
so, I have running it now for a while in parallel with the MWM. i could not find any issue, but my multi-instance is working now. it would not work at the floating MW (i dont no why, normaly it should be there). So, the MAM does his job :good:

Nice Work OP!! Thank you for this module!
I'm having an issue on my stock/rooted AT&T SGS4 - I used this to enable all of my apps, but when I try to drag one into the multi-window bar from the Edit screen, it doesn't add the app that I was try to add. It ends up adding some random app instead. Has anyone else seen this?
do you make this mod for ics 4.04 ?
im using mtk device many others too...thanks in advance
I hope it would have select all, unselect all and search apps functions in next version because it's really a pain to pick out just one or two apps among hundreds.
Thanks
---------- Post added at 02:29 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:34 AM ----------

Hi
is it only for Sam roms n TW customs? Or does it work on paranoids and cm roms?

I am having the same problem, when you swipe down to pick app it will pull out the app from the first screen only, when you pick app from the first screen it still works. I think it's a bug in determining the position of apps.

Barclays bank app running on rooted phones

The Barclays mobile banking app was working on rooted phones until the last update, there is a few work around but the easiest way is to install the last update & unclick auto update in Google play. This is for anyone who has already made the mistake & updated already I can help.
Please don't mirror the download, if you wanna include this in your post just include the link to my post, thanks.
1. Uninstall your app.
2. Download the last working update below.
3. Open & update via a file manager (something like root explorer)
4. & the most important thing.... thank me on this post (Optional) :thumbup:
5. (Optional) Give the bank app a email or comment on Google play so we might get future updates for Rooted users like I did!

EDIT: [sarcasm]Yeah thank him for re-uploading a file some 1 else already posted in the other thread and not even posting how to make the 1.3.3 app work as it still needs to be "installed" correctly.[/sarcasm]
So what if i backup my own version and upload it here, is that mirroring, Lol what a stupid thing to say. It's not like it's your app.
EDIT 2: Don't forget to thank this guy " http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=43287742&postcount=213 " for being the first to post the 1.3.3 APK
Not trying to be *****y but this guy doesn't deserve credits for just uploading a APK which was posted 2 pages back in the above thread and he clearly knew about that thread as has posted in it, The guy i linked above who uploaded it first deserves thanks and so do i for putting the small guide together and so do the people who i gathered the information from.

He does deserve credit & if anyone wants to use his way they can go there, I'm just helping out like we do here on Xda forums, I had the same problem after updating & used my own solution which I provided in post 1, uploaded your own apk isn't mirroring, all my info was my own also my apk. You don't need the guide to make this work like you did, you just unclick auto install & use the 1.3.3 version like I did, I reinstalled mine from titanium after I found the new update unusable on my rooted device.
sent from Tapatalk2 via my Supermodded S3 using UltimaRom v13 & running Boeffla v2.12 beta7 kernel
Your method will only work if they already had the data for the app, but yet there is no mention of this, Fresh install will require the above guide and considering there is no mention of "having to have it installed before" or "how to fix barclays mobile banking app" then it implies that this will make it work on rooted phones just by downloading your APK when this is simply not the case.
Also i know uploading my own apk isn't mirroring however technically it is as the CRC would be identical on both APK's and it seems kinda stupid saying don't mirror but yet they can easily upload the same APK and you wouldn't know.
Changed step 4 to optional due to the comments lol.

I cant get the Barclays mobile app to work on my rooted experia z does anyone know if this method still works?
I tryed to install this old version of apk but it doesnt work on rooted phone
@ x7nofate did you try this way which I wrote under here? Or may be if you clear the cache of the app? It will work?
@ xjacko the app still works on my rooted s3
Try install from the market, then open it up, it will say not supported on rooted phones or something like that, then Uninstall it, then download my link & copy it over to your phone, now find it via a file manager app (root explorer, es manager or something like that), install it (or push it to data/app via manager app & then reboot the phone) & then enjoy barclays bank app on a rooted phone, it's the version before so tick don't auto install from the play store or it will update next time you use wifi or mobile data. Or you can also use method 2 in this post by another xda member? Hope this helps you :thumbup:

Months ago I lost use of mobile banking on my rooted SG Note2, I only had Titanium Backup set to keep one old version, and foolishly ran a backup having auto-updated a bunch of apps and then realised the new version of BMB reported device was rooted.
I tried all sorts of things to get it to work.. I came across many guides suggesting what to do.. and none worked..
* I used the triangleaway fix to make device normal.
* I disabled adb.
* I disabled installation of non-market apps
* I tried hide root programs.
* I renamed the Superuser.apk app to something else
* I renamed /system/xbin/su to something else
* I ensured /system was read only.
* I scanned system and removed any files or apps which had the name "root" or "su" in them and thus might look like root.
I even got to the point where if it weren't for having an active root shell via adb I'd have lost root!.
but nothing worked.
Then I came across this thread. I removed the app installed from Google Play, downloaded the 1.3.3 apk from the link provided, and installed it.
Ironically downloading the banking app from a third party is perhaps the most dangerous thing you could do, and yet Barclays force you in to it!
At some point I imagine they will put something in the internet servers which will deliberately break 1.3.3 and force an upgrade
But in the meanwhile I am very very happy! I will no longer have to carry my PIN Sentry box around with me.

I now have a rooted Xperia Z Ultra, and I have done everything to make this work yet it still says device is rooted. I restored the app from my Note 2 which is rooted and where the app works; so there must be something unusual that the Xperia flags up to tell Barclay's app its rooted.
If you have any ideas, please shout out so I can try them out. I did all the things I previously posted when I was trying to get the newer app to work.
What kind of fool would access their bank account from a hacked program hosted on mediafire uploaded by an unknown person who cannot even say what it is they have done to make it work?

Samsung Multi-pane port for 7.0

From the original development and port from @gruesomewolf, Here's an original port "ported" to the Galaxy Tab3.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2186621
^THE ORIGINAL GALAXY S3 MULTIWINDOW THREAD WHERE THE ZIP POSTED ABOVE ORIGINATED
"http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48162713&postcount=4"
I found that the multi-pane or multi-task wasnt included in the 7.0 version of the Galaxy Tab 3 and got really frustrated. After unlocking my Tab with root/TWRP/xposed framework and finally putting together a decent setup and performance, i pushed in my final touch. I found today that there is already a flash able zip for the Galaxy S3 older firmware and found it works just as well so we will use this untill I/we change the dpi for a 7.0 screen.
Still needs some dpi adjustments but none the less works well, except for the rare crashes and multi-window not working.
My port was based off of the 8.0 firmware and crashed more frequently than this zip.
DOWNLOAD: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1y4nluibgrnhy14/MultiView_Universal.zip
(Someone mirror)
Requirements
:Most recent Tab3 7.0 firmware (4.1.2)
:TWRP or Custom Recovery
Instructions
:Flash zip into your rom (easy) or push via adb if your experienced
:Wipe Cache
:Reboot
Bugs
:Multi-Window does not work but the Multi-Task does work (This could be because of the firmware capadibility or screen dpi size)
:Crashs or FCs when memory is filled

I dont know who the original author is but thankyou and if your name is found, you will be mentioned.
Stock firmware modders should include this in their roms to improve tablet experience and focus on improving it for us. (Im busy with my own projects =3 but feel free to PM)

first things first....i'm not sure if u know who i am but i have personally ported the multiwindow mod to several other devices (also i have already been working on a tab 3 version...will provide the link below). Although i did NOT create this particular mod I DO know who did (will provide link to original thread below as well...i also will include the original mirror) and while this is an awesome find this zip is EXACTLY the same as the original so lets make sure they get proper credit in the OP because we wouldnt want the thread getting closed. With that said i would like to say thanks for this great discovery since u have basically found the proper "branch" of multiwindow that works with the 7 inch version. My main question is when u mention "multi-window not working" do u mean that the actual split screen function is not working? If so then this will be a major disappointment for most users expecting to come here and download an actual functioning flashable mod...if it does in fact already work as it is supposed to then could u please provide a few screenshots of the mod in action (DUAL/SPLIT SCREEN) Also...can i get a full list of bugs/glitches that u have encountered? Using these files as a base i should be able to complete the mod for u guys (if it isnt working yet) within the next day or so if everything goes well...if the short flashbar is the only problem then it can be fixed by setting the dpi of the flashbarservice.apk to 320 in the app settings xposed module

actually thats not a problem...i ported multiwindow to several devices the first being the galaxy tab plus/p6200 and what i had to basically do is flash note 8 files to get it to work. THIS is the problem....no one else has confirm that their tab will even boot after flashing this zip not to mention that the multiwindow feature does not even work.
@Nx Biotic
i'm curious....EXACTLY what do u mean when u say "multi task" is working? By that are u talking about the flashbar/launcher on the left side of the screen? Also...no one else can confirm that this even boots so did u flash or manually load it on your system?
Thanks man. It is really working. Here is some screenshot. Gotta test more. No problem so far except the one you said. Dpi issues

Ok guys...we should be able to get this thing working with a few more tests zips. As of right now i have 3 ideas starting with a continuation of the original tab 3 multiwindow thread we"ve been working in...i will link to one attempt below and will be back with test 6 in about an hour. Test 7 will take a lil longer since will have to go through the code line by line...hopefully it wont even be necessary
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
1. Install "samsung multiwindow manager (note 10.1)" from the play store (do NOT patch anything when i asked...this step is not mandatory but u will want to use this to enable some more apps since the default ones may not work)
2. Edit your build prop by adding the line qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 to the bottom of the file, save then reboot into recovery
3. Flash the Test 5 zip below
4. You should now notice navigation buttons at the bottom...press the up arrow/miniapps tray and try some of the apps (please be aware that the stock samsung apps may force close and will need to be replaced...also launching from the flashbar/left launcher will still probably not work)
5. If u experience a force close when pressing the home/back buttons then you can remove the build prop edit and wait for Test 6 which will focus on fixing the flashbar

[App mod] milk music working on any android device

To get milk music working on rooted, not samsung (and older samsung) devices.
Step 1: Back Up Your Build.prop
Just make a copy somewhere on your sd card, also make a backup of your os.
Step 2: Tweak Your Device Brand & Model.
Now go back to the /system directory, but this time tap on build.prop, don't long-press. Choose RB Text Editor to edit the file, then look for the model, brand, and manufacturer lines (highlighted below). Your original ones will show:
Note:as there are so many devices the <text> areas below will instead be specific to your device but the rest should be the same.
ro.product.model=<model>
ro.product.brand=<brand>
ro.product.manufacturer=<manufacturer>
Simply change them to match a (newer) Samsung device. I used a Galaxy S4.
ro.product.model=Galaxy S4
ro.product.brand=Samsung
ro.product.manufacturer=Samsung
Step 3: Save the build.prop
Step 4: Sideload the apk, because the play store still wont let you download it. So I am hosting an apk copy in my dropbox for ya'll.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/a16vvbhu4h6gvg7/com.samsung.mdl.radio-1.0.176956 (1).apk
Milk Music will now work with most of the functionality that it would on a native Samsung device, except that you won't be able to log into a Samsung account for syncing stations or enable explicit content from the settings.
Please post if this is working or not working for you. Include your device name, android version, and rom version.
Please let me/us know of any tweaks to this process you had to preform in order to get this working.

I don't know much about it, but it sounds like something an Xposed Mod might be able to address.
Well what do you know - there's a new module in xposed that can make it work. Looks like it was just added.

i used ART for the first month of owning my N5... then i switched to dalvik for some of goodies that xposed offers... tried out a few and ultimately preferred stability over features and i basically removed all xposed and just left it with dalvik for a bit... I noticed lags and stutters here and there and eventually switched back to ART and I can honestly say that ART is MUCH smoother and stable than running any other mode... i've tested this extensively with various settings and setups (always stock ROM with stock kernel or Franco) and nothing is as smooth as using ART... so i'm not going back for even one feature using xposed... just my experience

I also have a S3 running slimkat. I didn't bother editing the build.prop and just installed the apk. Works fine. Not being able to log in sucks though because I need my explicit fix!
It is possible to install the Samsung account app on non touchwiz firmware. I have managed to sideload it into CM11 and a GPe ROM on my S4.
Here's the .apk that I have saved on my SD card for when I flash new firmware:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/qptszssdcl52i5n/Samsungservice.apk
Install it like any other app. Then in settings>accounts, add a new account and select Samsung. The app will ask to update, then you can create an account or login to an existing one. Milk Music will automatically see the account and then you can enable explicit lyrics in the app.
The only problem I have with Milk Music is that I can't update it. Samsung changed the way it determines device compatibility and "broke" the app for custom firmwares. I had to sideload it and just have to search for the .apk whenever the app gets updated since it won't update via google play store.

I keep getting the "App not installed" error when trying to install the updated version , any ideas? The original version installed fine, I just can't update it with the latest.
Sorry, I don't have any idea what would cause that. I use the apk downloader to pull the file from Google play since my phone (t mobile S4 running the GPE firmware) comes up as incompatible when I try to go to the app directly the play store. This apk installed just fine for me. Try uninstalling the existing app and then install the 7/1 file.

Thank you !
I don't have any involvement outside of providing the apks. I deleted the old files and left only the Samsung account apk and the latest milk music apk.
All I can suggest is deleting the old app, rebooting to recovery and clearing cache and dalvik and trying to reinstall. Maybe re-download the apk also. (Try apkdownloader or apkleecher to pull the actual file from Google play - that's how I managed to get it). Other than that, I can't provide any answers

[APP][4.4.2] AOSP Browser (NO ROOT REQUIRED)

AOSP Browser for 4.4.2 Kit Kat No Root is required
READ ME FIRST
First let me say, I have searched around and did not seem to find a working AOSP browser for Android Kit Kat, luckily someone posted some apks from One Plus One. So please read:
Credits go to blackhand1001 who started the original thread, but then his files no longer work for most of us i believe.
Credits go to the CM team for the One Plus One/files and M4rt1n94 for uploading the browser apk in his original thread.
FLASH PLAYER DOES NOT WORK, i have tried the files provided by adobe from here. If someone can some how tweak the latest Flash Player 11.1 for Android 4.0 (11.1.115.81) to collaborate with the browser then that would be great.
BOOK MARKS SYNC from @blackhand1001 DOES NOT WORK either. I hope someone or him can provide a working one, please
I have tested this on Stock Sony Xperia Z 4.4.2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet 4.4.2. It may or may not work for you, but it should work for all Kit Kats. Wish you best of luck. I do not know does it work for FW below Kit Kat, you tell me, if it does not work then try the original files from blackhand1001.
INSTALLATION
Same method provided by blackhand1001 from his original thread.
Download the "signedbrowser.apk" file that I have modified from below and place it in your phone's internal or external storage.
Go to general settings / security / check unknown sources
Use es file manager or root explorer (the non root version) from the play store and navigate to system / apps / and install Browser ProviderProxy.apk NOTE: it will state installation failed (that is normal)
Reboot your device manually
Navigate to the downloaded file you have done in step 1 and install the "signedbrowser.apk"
Uncheck unknown sources from your settings / security
DONE
Please hit the thanks button below and all the people I have mentioned up there.
If we already have 4.4, wouldn't we already have this?
Never mind, I found the answer. They have discontinued the old native browser.
Didn't work on M8 Verizon, but Browser proxy installed
Hey guys, is there are any ways to fix black screen issue
off topic but what is your theme? Really nice ! also your app for the floating sofkeys
I don't have Browser ProviderProxy.apk in any directory on my phone, so I just downloaded and installed browser apk and it works. Xperia M CM11.
Didn't work for me on an Xperia Z1 (C6903, stock 4.4.2) - probably because com.android.browser is actually the Browser Small App, and so is signed differently. Worked on my Optimus 2X (P990, unofficial CM11) though.
I think I can uninstall the small app, but I do like it so. Your mileage may vary
Didn't work on Moto G.
The problem is android WebKit where google has squeezed it and removed some commits from it in order to force people use their new default android web browser, chrome!..so whatever browser depends on that engine in kitkat it will lack a lot of feature like uploading any file to the web!
that's why Firefox and Chrome depend on their native web engines instead of relying on the unsupported webkit.
Finally! An AOSP browser which can open tabs using the pie on KK! Thank you!

Samsung Galaxy NotePro 12.2 LTE (SM-P905)
I got BrowserProviderProxy.apk located at system/app - not system/apps (this don't even exist), and it installs normally, doesn't give any error.
Then reboot and trying to install signedBrowser.apk --> "Installing App --> App not installed"
So no go for that device :/

There's an upgraded version of the 4.0 ICS browser in the app store called ics browser plus.

Must be a Samsung thing. Same exact thing happens to other Samsung devices to.
Proxy app works signed browser not installed on nexus 5 just swell try again
Is it the aosp browser from 4.4 sources? Because that one sucks, it's based on chrome, not webkit.
