i can not get my mate 8 back to stock out of the box firmware - Mate 8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I just purchased this used. it was rooted which I removed. it had trwp on it but some how I can not access that any longer. it is emui 4.1 on it. the model number is nxt-al10 build number is nxt-l29c432b320. I can get to the erecovery it will connect to the wifi but wont connect to the server. I have tried Italian knife I have tried putting stock image onto it thru dload file on the internal and external memory. I will hold the up down and power button and it will start the install but fail at 5% every time. I tried installing it thru the dial pad method and all that does is get stuck on a screen that tells me I need to go to Huawei's website and that my phone is unlocked and shouldn't be trusted. so I basically cant access my bootloader. I constantly have to restart the phone because either it will freeze or the camera wont work. I really like the phone and don't want to get another phone but im at a loss as to what to do

i have the same issue , ihope any one help us with the new platform 4.0.4
Hmm... first question: what error did you get when you tried to restore a backup using Zune?
If the original ROM is still intact, you can try removing the phone's battery for a while and then trying to start it up again. That should take it out of update/restore mode if it got stuck for some reason.
If the bootloader is still intact, you can flash a stock ROM instead. The HD7 has many stock ROMs available, and is very easy to flash. I'm going to guess your bootloader is OK since you're able to reach update mode.
Even if your bootloader is messed up, you can probably boot to USB Host Mode and use a GoldCard (USB mass storage device with a device image on it) to repair the bootloader and ROM. In addition, that would let you install an older bootloader, then install HSPL and flash a custom ROM if you so desired.

[Q] Is my Lenovo A850+ bricked? If not how can I fix it?

Hello all.
I just received my Lenovo A850+ today that I bought from China (via ebay). After charging it to full I put in my o2 Sim and blank micro-SD card and started having a play with the phone. (It worked fine before I started messing). Noticing there was no google play store I set about finding a way to put it on. The first thing (perhaps wrongly) i did was install some lenovo usb drivers that some site told me to use with the idea I would flash a custom rom (which i never did in the end) and enabled usb debugging.
I tried to root the phone with a program called Xroot, which unsuccessfully rooted the phone, then I downloaded a new version which updated to Xroot 1.7.7 and that supposedly successfully rooted the phone. It also installed a new app with a name similar to xroot which i then opened. It has what looked like an app manager so i started deleting apps that i thought were unnecessary (bloatware). Suddenly the list of apps changed and the phone froze. I took out the battery and attempted to restart the phone. I now have the following problem:
After hitting the power button the phone it vibrates once, plays an animation and then gets stuck on the logo screen:
Left like this it occasionally vibrates once every 20secs or so but doesnt load any further. When plugged into my PC via usb, after a minute or so my pc recognises the device (but not removable storage and CD Drive (D Lenovo Suite (an exe) pops up. after installing a chinese software suite is installed, which does pop up when my phone is plugged in.
The phone only responds when i hold the power button, which turns it off. Basically I want to fix my phone, hopefully without sending it back to china. I assumed I could just get into a recovery menu and factory reset it. I dont think I can. I can get into the following 3 menus:
factory mode: (power+volumeUp) I dont read chinese, the top few seem to be info/component checks, the bottom one restarts the phone and the eMMC option doesn't fix anything.
recovery mode: (power+volumeUp+volumeDown)Has a menu with power off, reboot, wipe user data (didnt fix anything) and install update package (i tried copying an official rom onto root of sd card but it doesnt recognise it (it looks like it specifically wants a zip called update.zip) i even renamed but didnt help.
meta mode: (power+volumeDown) Doesn't appear to do anything and has no options.
Does any1 have suggestions on how I can perform a factory reset/install a rom or fix my phone or is it just bricked? If you want me to try anything just post and I will give it a go.
Thankyou.

You need to install the ADB drivers and the Drivers for your device. If they are both installed you can check if your device is recognised by PC by typing this command: "adb devices". If you don't know how to use ADB I posted a helpful tool.
Then you need to download a ROM on your PC and then flash it via Sideload to your device.
Possible bricked A850+
Have a possible bricked A850+ I tried to install custom recovery as I wanted a custom rom and it wanted SuperSU we installed but it failed to update binary 3 times on normal, when turned I it off and back on again it was stucked in the boot screen.:crying:
I have tried to wipe all date via Recovery which I can access but still no luck with the ordinary boot, when trying to use flash tool absolutely nothing happens when the phone is connected, so can anybody in here help with my problem?

Im trying to fix my GFs phone its stuck on the boot screen when the phone got turned off during an update
I got ADB installed and can see it in the CMD but its not showing my phone as connected,
I suspect this is because I dont have USB debugging enabled but seems the phone cant turn on i cant enable it, ive spent a few hours googling and googling but i cant find any way to get anything to work seems it wont connect to the phone
The phone does show up on my drives list when plugged in but it does not show up as an android device in the device manager. Am i screwed or is there another way to fix this?
Every single thing i try has "Make sure USB Debugging is enabled." ......
is there some way to enable it when i cant get the phone turned on....

Soft-Bricked MT7-L09 by "ez-unlock"

Alright guys...I'm in desperate need of help.
I've tried every possible solution from this forum and other sites as well in regards to un-bricking my device. I have the international version MT7-L09 2GB ram 16GB rom. It was rooted by KingRoot with SuperSU.
Now I was fully satisfied with the turnout of my rooted device, until I kept reading elsewhere about unlocking the bootloader. Unfortunately, the international version is somewhat not available to request an unlock code (unless, I am not aware of another way), through the Huawei website. Then I heard of an app "ez-unlock", and although I usually do some research, I was naive to think this would help my device. I was WRONG! As soon as I clicked on "unlock", my device powered down and became stuck on the Huawei Ascend boot screen. It will not go anywhere after that and also cannot be turned off. I cannot do the soft or hard reset as the device simply shuts down and then reboots back to the title screen and stays there. I literally had to open the back cover and unplug the battery.
I've tried the fastboot/adb prompts to flash BOOT and RECOVERY, but all I get is the "command is not allowed". I am assuming this means my bootloader is locked after all and the app has somehow secured itself to prevent further booting the device? I've already downloaded the stock firmware, adb/fastboot, usb drivers. Extracted and copied dload with update.app into SD card. Still unsuccessful. I can't seem to find anything on EMUI. I know a post somewhere here said that Huawei's own chipset can't be recovered when bricked (or something like that, hopefully not in my situation).
1) Vol Up + Power (don't work)
2) Vol Down + Power (don't work)
3) Vol Up/Down + Power (dont' work)
4) HiSuite does not pick up device when plugged in PC (it just keeps searching)
**If I power on the phone, it will stay on until the battery drains, unless I take the back off again and unplug the connector.
Any help with this situation I'm in guys will be greatly appreciated, I've only had this phone for 4 months...like I said, I was naive to not do much research online about ez-app, apparently it only works for a few devices and will brick others.
So if my phone is still able to be rescued, I'd appreciate it very much.
Thanks for reading!!!! :fingers-crossed:

Bricked FRD-L04

So I'm pretty sure I've managed to brick my honor 8 FRD-L04. Will not finish boot, will only boot into erecovery. Cannot access the phone through USB for Fastboot or ADB. Erecovery reports "Getting package info failed". Ithought that maybe the USB port was bad, replaced the port, still no luck.
Any suggestions?
Search for roll back. It will be roll back to marshmallow, but it will work. I fixed my phone last night. You will have to use an SD card to install the update.
I can't get it to go into the normal recovery.
What is it doing when you try to boot into recovery?
It will only go into Fastboot or erecovery. The phone isn't recognized in Fastboot and erecovery fails
https://www.reddit.com/r/Honor8/comments/607q9r/downgrade_honor_8_to_emui_41/
download rollback package, place on sdcard in dload folder, hold power + volume up and down buttons together, it'll auto flash the 1st part, then download 4.1 and do the same, place in dload folder and repeat, now you're back to anroid 6, accept update to 126, then update to 360 and finally 391
Well, I finally got the phone "unbricked", but I still have ZERO USB access. The port will provide power, but no data whatsoever. It's not the port itself as I have replaced it already, it's not the cable, and it's not the computer. I am at a total loss now, but at least I have the device working again.
I was able to get the roll back packages to load

ANE-LX1 fully bricked - unable to boot into fastboot

Good day fellas.
Today I played around with my old Phone and somehow deleted the bootloader. It only boots me to the eRecovery therefore not able to use ADB/Fastboot. It doesn't matter if the Phone is unbrickable but I wanna keep playing around with it. I do not have the option to Factory Reset or use the Emergency Backup meaning the bootloader is pretty much gone. Is there any way I can unbrick this phone? I tried every possible combination of keys but nothing works LOL. I also cannot use "Download lastest version and recovery" due do the phone being unable to find my Wifi (but can find any other Wifi in my house xd). Any idea will be tried out no matter if it requires disassembly since this phone is already disassembled because of the lld-testpoint method to unlock the bootloader lol.
Edit: Somehow was able to get into TWRP althrough eRecovery is on there. Strange. Got into TWRP by pressing factory reset. TWRP also isn't able to boot into bootloader and justs shuts off my phone

Pretty late response but I'll try to help you. First of all, this is Non-Lite forum, so you better ask in P20 Lite forum. Second of all, look up "IDT Huawei P20 Lite", idt is tool from HiSilicon that let's you flash board firmware on your phone, but you will have to disassemble your phone to access testpoint for this method. You have to find your idt firmware online, so good luck!
