How are you guys feeling about this battery? I decided to try it out, back when I had the GS3 I bought one of those 9000mah batteries and it was an extremely rare day that I went below 50% battery, so I went for the 6000mah anker battery here since it is cheaper.
I definitely feel like it has extended life, but it feels like it's only about 50% better as opposed to 100% longer life. I can usually make it to the end of the day now, whereas before I was putting it on the charger when I'd get home from work every day.
It all depends on the use of the phone. I know people that make 3 days use with Zerolemon and some make 18 hrs.

Also if i root it and greenify some sh!t will i see big difference?

I haven't seen any change with greenify anymore. Have done test with it and without. It drains more battery running in the background on the note 4

I bought the 2 ankar batteries that a rotate with the OEM. they are very good and worth the money.
only complaint would be there is a plastic piece on the bottem of the battery that locks it into place. I left it in my car a couple time and it melted and fell off. so now on one of the batterys it fits loose and sometime makes my phone reboot from being knocked around. but i added some tape to the bottem and it fixed the lock and i dont have the problem anymore. it only happened with one of the batteries.
is the battery life better on the anker one? than the original samsung battery

seems comparable, I don't use the stock battery that much since I can quick charge or swap for a full charged (using the external charger included with the 2 pack)

I've had pretty good results. I went 2 days 6 hrs with 7:15 screen on, 20 hrs wifi, 34 hrs 4g screen on 50-60% brightness

I just got the Anker 3220 last week & so far it does seem to do a little bit better than the stock battery. Not by much, but I've definitely noticed that I don't need to put on on the charger as much.
I tried posting this in the Q/A section a couple of weeks ago,, with no luck. I thought I'd try here.
Please answer the question IF AND ONLY IF you are currently using the Verizon Retail Galaxy Note 4, SM-N910V, the one that is currently unrootable and has a locked bootloader. NOT the Developer Edition, where that particular bootloader IS unlocked and also this unit HAS been rooted.

I've read that people have been manually editing root files to get their Note 4's to correctly read the mA rating on extended batteries, or using apps that will calibrate your phone w/ your battery, and these apps require root access.
Have YOU, as a user of the Verizon RETAIL (NOT DE) Galaxy Note 4, tried using an extended battery, whether it be the 10,000 mA ZeroLemon Battery, the Hyperion 8,000 mA battery, or something else, and been successful in getting your device to correctly recognize the new battery capacity and does the percentage decrease correctly?
This is where I'm coming from. I'm on the Verizon Retail Note 4 and I have a ZeroLemon battery. It's still under warranty, but I'm about to send it back for a replacement. Basically, my phone would never recognize any different battery other than the stock size of 3220 mA. Not only that, the ZeroLemon would drain in percentage at the same rate of the stock battery, and stay at 1% for another 12 hours or so.
That said, I've heard people have had better luck with the Hyperion battery, in terms of getting the phone to recognize the battery, better, for whatever reason. What I DO NOT know, is if these are rooted and/or unlocked users of another carrier or not, or if the Hyperion battery is of better quality or of a different battery type.
Can someone comment on the issue, please?
No one has shown proof abd have had it duplicated that modding and file will show proper mah and correct battery life for zerolemon. Yes I have a note 4 from tmobile. And I have a hyperion that works perfect without any mod. The reason is hyperion is a single cell battery. Zerolemon is tricell. As per samsung tech not customer service. It will never read correct cause it does not drain equally. Will always give false reading.

Thank you for replying, and I do respect your opinion, even though you're a Tmobile user. Just a long shot, is there any knowledge of an app out there that can associate/calibrate the Note 4 with a TriCell battery, or would be able to help at all w/ the drainage %?

you can see the battery both charge and discharge with the correct percentage drop, because it is not a tri-cell it is just a larger battery.

It is a hardware issue. All the zerolemon is 3 battery poorly glued together with tiny wire to connect them all so only one battery makes a connection with the phones pins. So as that drains down it feeds of the other one and that feeds off the last one. It just a bad design. So no app will ever fix that.

Let me ask you something. Lets say you use an app, like Charging TIme, which tells you the mA of the battery at full capacity, there might be other apps that do the same thing, or there might be a way to find out in the stock settings, that I don't know how. Would your battery register at 6400 mah or 3220?

Here you go, both the stock and extended, no different in that app, however, you can see the graphs it works correctly.
So for the s7 edge I opted to get the mophie battery case because neither was water resistant and the mophie charged faster and gave more protection. With the Note 7 the mophie one isnt out yet, but the samsung one does have water resistance now. With 3100 mah i think itll be enough to get some good screen on time. It does come halfway charged so i recommend charging it before use. It works as simple as putting it on and turning it on.
I purchased this on amazon with prime shipping because the samsung website is so backed up they couldnt even give me a date when they might send it.
First up is the packaging. Its nothing special just the normal samsung packaging we've grown accustomed to.

Overall this will do its job but dont expect very much protection as the front is totally exposed. The charging is very slow. It does make the phone both heavier and thicker as is to be expected and makes 1 handed use harder but its a phablet so who cares. I do reccomend this case, but it is a tad expensive. On the other hand though you have to pay to play. Let me know what ya'll think. Will you get one?

Congrats man... Can you please let us know how does the battery lasts? From what i i know it does say battery is 3100mAh but on the back its also written that usable is a lot less than 3100. Anyhow let us know how much total time you could get without plugging it back in.
Also can you confirm does the backpack charges wirelessly or no.
From what I read this only outputs at 1.0a which is gonna be reaaaally slow compared to the standard 2.0a or fast charge. Does it show any specs on the box anywhere?
The backpack itself does not charge wirelessly, only charges the phone wirelessly.

It is slow, but the way i look at it is, does it need to be super fast if its on your phone like all day?
About 3 hrs to full from 16 percent.. idk if it would even make it to full if you are using it but there you go.

I had this for one day and took it back for the Samsung fast charge power brick. The case made the phone very warm and just slowed the drain of the phones battery while in use.

Yeah at one point I was just cruising Facebook and I kept getting notifications about the device charging too slow. And this was while on wifi with the display at about 50%
Alright, so update. The charger doesnt charge fast we all get that. But it does work well enough that i started today at 500am and it is now 624pm with what i would consider pretty heavy usage. Probably a good 5 hrs screen on time and my phone is at 61 percent with the charger totally depleted, i started the charger at about 80 percent battery. I didnt browse the internet too much i was playing a game called dokkan battles pretty much the whole time with screen at about 25 percent brightness because the room i work in is dark. Just some figures for you guys i will keep updating as info is necessary.
As far as the power bricks go they are nice. And significantly faster, but i like not having to carry them around or plug them in, just one button and im charging.
I think for less than half the price with more capacity and 1.8a output, I would rather have this. It isn't waterproof and no access to spen though.

That could be legit
the samsung backpack charges the phone from 0 to roughly 40% - just tested it with my completely drained note 7 - charging....did not use while charging......turned phone on - battery level was 41% on the phone for about 30 seconds, then dropped to 40%.....
backpack was completely drained at the end of this.
i agree with the OP that it is MUCH easier to have this on the back of the phone rather than lugging around a power bank and cord. however, the backpack battery case is really expensive given the mAH it provides.....
i bought two of them b/c i'm on the phone all day talking to clients from my car.....my two cents is that the cost is worth the convenience, but most others will likely disagree......

Cords.....hate having to plug snd unplug. Also in in and out of my car all day. This way I have one backpack on my phone while the other one is connected to my fast charger in my car....
My Samsung backpack charger took the phone from 20% to full with 1 dot left. I changed wireless charging settings to slow charge only. Used it a few times while charging for light stuff. Gets a little warm while charging. I'm pretty happy with it. No cables and has pass through charging if you need it. Makes it twice as heavy though. I recommend it.

Is fast charging on the S7 ok for the battery or it damages it by time ? I mean i want my phone to hold on for at least 3 years.
Should i disable this option to increase the total battery health ?

Umm yes they do... They last way longer than that actually. They just won't have the capability to hold the full charge amount (in mAh) anymore.

It may not have dawned on you yet but that battery does not "hold the full charge amount (in mAh) anymore" is in most users mind the very definition of "my f****** battery is gone"!
With the all the pressure on the manufacturers to make the batteries small and the urge to build faster units the usable battery lifespan takes a hit. Even a 20% shorter battery charge time feels frustrating when heavy users may already struggle to make it last a full day with some phones.
So, "way longer than that" (3 years)…? I don’t think so!
So as a conclusion should I DISABLE FAST CHARGING OR NOT?

I have never heard anyone being able to prove fast charging causing shortened battery life. There are a lot of guessing around, but the only difference I have seen is that the phone gets slightly warmer to the touch both after fast charging with cable and wireless. Not so hot so that I would suspect damage. After all, since the charging ends a lot faster the total amount of heat surely isn't higher than that with slow charging. Using the phone will sometimes make it warmer than this.
One could perhaps suspect a higher risk for fire with fast charging, but there is no proof for that either.
The choice is yours!

If you want battery to last longer you do not need to disable anything, instead follow these steps
1. Charge battery to 80 - 85% and not 100%. Stop leaving it overnight.
2. Don't let it fall to 0%, keep it between 20 - 80% charge.
3. Do use phone while charging. You do not want battery heating up.
4. Top up the battery in between your day but keep it within the range above.
5. Keep phone away from to much subglight or warm temperatures. Heat is the biggest enemy of Li-on batteries.

This might have been true many years ago for on old generation of batteries and phones, not for the batteries and smart phones of today. You cannot damage the battery by over charge, there is automatic over charge protection.
You equally cannot do harm to the battery by using it all the way down. There is protection against this also. The system will sense when it is approaching the level that will do any damage at all to the battery and shut down.
No need to worry, just use your phone. There is nothing you can do to make the battery better or worse!

So i can enable fast charge and full charge/discharge the phone without any risk?

No you are getting it wrong. Don't leave overnight not because it over charges but the fact that you don't want to go upto 100%. Plus everytime you go to 0 battery loses it one cycle. Whatever I say is based on Google research and latest research so it still holds true. For battery longevity never take it to extreme and avoid heating it.

You should Google or see YouTube videos. What I advise you is based on that research. Almost 99% people advise what I said. Rest is upto you.

Disable fast charging if it heats up your battery too much. Otherwise no need.

That is a generalization based upon nothing but your personal opinion. All I said is that batteries absolutely last longer than 3 years.

I'm finding it slow despite the fact it displays fast charging while using official cable and charger. My Note 8 is so much faster.
Mine 2 XL was really slow,It took 2h to charge from 30% to 100%.
A Youtuber points out the same issue, he got 2h 30m to charge 2 XL from 0% to 100%.
According to what I have seen from YouTube reviewers, charging speed is ridiculous (not in a good way). How can I possibly leave my Oneplus 5 dash charge for this?? Sigh.
For me it charges quite quickly up to 95%, but the last 5% are a drag. And I'm using the cable and charger that came with the phone.
My OG XL charged much quicker!

please calm down a bit. Charging slow the last part after 80% or so is not bad but very good because it saves your battery. There is nothing to prevent this so if OP5 charges the last part faster the battery will wear out faster.

Yes, they are supposed to throttle the charging after it hits a certain percentage (sounds like 80 in this case) but once it gets high enough the high amps can damage the battery, possibly overcharge it etc. 2.5 hours from 0%-100% doesn't sound terrible to me but maybe I'm not as picky as most....
Did anyone try charging the phone with a Quick Charge 3.0 compatible charger to see if there's any difference?
Mine charges between 2500-2800 mAh before the threshold with the screen off, around 1000 mAh with the screen on.
When charging at home, it takes 2hrs from 20%-100%. I just started charging it at work, and it shot up from 20%-85% in 15 mins. Now it's charging slowly going to 100%.
What kind of mA are y'all getting? Seems around 2000 at best which is pretty underwhelming. Half that with screen on...
This is with the out of box charger.
I want the good camera but man does op5 do so many things better than this at half the price. ?

I feel the same way. OP5T could potentially be better in most segments except for the camera which obviously is the best thing about the Pixel 2.
Asking again, did someone try to charge the phone with a Quick Charge 3.0 compatible charger to see if there's any difference?

Dont have my Pixel 2 xl yet but I'm also thinking about getting OP5t instead.
Better Display, better charging time, overclocked processor, less bezels all in all less issues .. :/ Not sure anymore.

At this point, I've decided to just wait until December-January to see if anything changes with the quality of the screens/issues with the Pixel 2XL, if it gets better - I'll definitely get it, if not? See what the reviews for the 5T say and get it instead if they'll be positive.
I really, really wanted the new Pixels to be a smash hit and was ready to place my pre-order right away, but I'll let time to its thing for now since there's WAY TOO much negative surrounding the 2XL and for a good reason I guess.
you are paying the premium for camera these days. op5 pretty much does everything else better imo even with jelly scrolling.
Just plugged my phone in now. 74% and it says 52 minutes until charged. :-/

That's straight up slow charging. Poor performance.

You mean to say that although the chip is compat with QC 3 there is no QC 3 charger included with the phone ?
