[Q] [Q&A] Samsung Clock in CM7 for Infuse 4G

Hi everybody! Does anybody know a way to install the stock Samsung Infuse clock (found in the S7 rom as "ClockPackage.apk" also in Darkys rom and other galaxy s based roms) in the CM7 rom for the Infuse?
I've tried copying the apk to the system/app folder and changing the permissions to match those of the stock android clock. Also tried just installing the apk straight up, no dice.
Any thoughts?
ps, I did a search of the forums, pls forgive me if I missed the answer to this question ^_^

[Q] Rooting & MIUI Rom on Galaxy Tab 7" (original)?

Hi, hope someone can help me, please.
I have a Galaxy Tab P1000. It was with Froyo 2.2 and had MIUI Rom installed. It was also rooted with SuperUser.
I have now upgraded to Gingerbread 2.3.
Questions:
1. Is it still using MIUI Rom, or the default Rom? If not, HOW and where can I see this to delete it? If it is using it, how do I know? Sorry, not "up" on these things.
2. Is the GT still rooted? There's the SuperUser app still but if it's not rooted now, I can delete that app, right? Do I need to root it again for Gingerbread?
I would like to install one of the GO Launcher themes but first, it's best I get the above questions answered.
I don't even know if I'm seeing the "best" of what Gingerbread has to offer. Maybe it is still using MIUI and that's why it looks the same as before...?
Hope you can help. Many thanks for any advice and help!! :S

U can flash any ROM u want, unless the ROM owner explicitly specifies a different kernel.
I experienced that some special ROMs aren't working with siyah, but the popular ones like CM, AOKP, PA and MIUI will be compatible.

Any rom you flash will have a kernel packaged with the rom so you don't have to worry about compatibility with the initial flash. Should you decide on a different kernel with that rom then you check for compatibility between desired kernel amd rom

[DEV][SEARCH HELP] Port Note 4 ROM to Note

Hello guys
As you can see in Development section, there isn't any Note 4 ROM updated because the Devs support now only the S6 ports. By the way, I find that Note 4 ROM is more adapted to our Note (same dimension, SPen fonctions, etc...) so I want to create a new ROM which will be updated every month (when a new official ROM comes out). So I need some help from you to port this ROM, a kind of "How-to" (I tried it already but stucks on splash screen (Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9005)). If I success to port an official ROM, I will be able to port a custom one from Note 4 too, if you want (and the 5.1.1 from the Note 4)
I will be grateful to everyone who will help me in this project
Thank you in advance guys :good:
me too s6 port is very worse in our note 3 until note 5 it will be great to port it to our note 3 but not galaxy s6
Since it gets stuck on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 screen, my guess is that the kernel cannot boot or that the code for the system to start is not found. How did you try to port the ROM?

I remplaced the kernel by an official or custom one from Note 3 as in others ports. I followed this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957219 and this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1941239
I have compared the structure of my ROM with a functionnal (old) port too.
Do you think that these two guides are too old ?

Not working for now, I'm not able to get the ROM bootable. I think I will wait for 5.1.1 of Note 4/5 to retry
