S7 edge - systemless root + xposed + android pay - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Themes, Apps, and Mods

(posted previously in the wrong section)
Anyone using systemless root + xposed and android pay?
I was able to use systemless root with magisk v3 + phh superuser + systemless xposed without any problem however flashfire was not working since I cannot also make chainfire supersSU to work in s7 edge...
( releases after v3 up to v6 are not supporting well samsung - I verified though with the android version G935FXXU1BPH6 which also might be causing issues).
However after updating this version G935FXXU1BPH6 it seems to cause issues with TWRP and only boots to the last (twrp-3.0.2-3-hero2lte.img) and now I cannot go systemless at all because magisk v3 is not working aswell, root simply is not recognized.
SO basically now I'm using stock phone as I wanted to use android pay.... any ideas or anyone with any sucess?

im using v6 without problems. BUT you have to root with cfautoroot and unroot with superSU one time. i think that superSU changes something in boot.img that magisk needs to work ...
after that you have to use phh superuser.
pogo work
Flashfire will not

ok

This works fine as does systemless xposed etc. Did you pick the option to restore stock boot.img when you uninstalled SuperSU?
My banking apps can still detech phh's root. Wondering if the modified boot from SuperSU is the cause. Might just need to wait for Magisk V7 which shouldn't need this workaround.

Install xposed and KoalaCoak you don't need to be unrooted

That is only for ANZ and Westpac internet banking, not Android Pay? Is that correct? Have you got it working for Android Pay?
Cheers.

Read up on Magisk. Systemless Xposed is pointless as you can't bypass safetynet

If we get update and if we update.
Is it require to wipe data after flashing twrp?

Xperia z5 rootet - Hide Root - Pokemon Go Fix?

Hi,
I hope this is the correct forum. If not then pls move it where it should be.
(I also couldnt find a similiar thread for especially sony)
I have an Xperia z5 with root on Android 6.
Since the latest updates i cant play Pokemon anymore because of root check. For other devices there is a solution with Magisk but this doesnt support Sony Devices.
Has anyone a solution to hide root on Sony Devices? Or a way to play Pokemon?
Thanks,
Magisk works with sony devices, im usign Magisk and can play pokemon go with no problem, have you tried to install Magisk?

I can assure you that Magisk works with the Z5. I am using the stock firmware (6.0.1), with the AndroPlus kernel v36, and Magisk with root and Xposed installed. SafetyNet passes the checks and AndroidPay works. This means that PokemonGo should work as well.
Before you can use Magisk on the E6653, you're going to need to:
Backup your TA keys so you can restore DRM if you ever go back to stock for warranty purposes
Unlock the bootloader
Flash the AndroPlus kernel
Flash the TWRP 3.0.2 custom recovery
Flash Magisk, SuperSU, and Xposed in a particular order to ensure that SafetyNet passes.
Once you do all that you should have no problems playing PokemonGo with root and Xposed. This is the first Sony phone I've owned and the hardest part for me backing up my TA keys because Flashtool kept failing to flash the downgraded firmware. Once I got my TA keys backed up, the rest of the steps took me less than 30 minutes. It's really not that bad as long as you follow all of the instructions exactly as written.
Hello,
i can also say that Magisk is working on Z5.
I tried it yesterday and everything was fine. For anyone who is also thniking about the Problem here my steps:
Sony was already root and has Supersu installed.
1. complete un-root with supersu
2. flash Magisk_v6.zip with twrp
3. reboot
4. flash phh_SuperSU Magisk version
5. reboot
6. install phh_SuperSU from playstore
7. install magiskmanager from APK
8. install automagsik
Everything is working now.
Thanks for your help

From what I understand, Pokemon Go uses SafetyNet to verify the system. SafetyNet will only pass it's checks if it detects a stock ROM without root or Xposed. So while there are methods to hide root and Xposed, I don't think there's any way to spoof a stock ROM.
Bottom line, I don't think it'll work with a custom ROM. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

Safetynet passed and I can use Android Pay and my banking apps
I think it is more easyer than magisk.

Z5 7.1.1 root?!?!

I am not able to root my Z5 E6653 running the new .160 build
I have already rooted it when Lollipop, Marshmallow and 7.0 was installed but this time it is pretty weird!
bootloader is unlocked of course!
I flashed the patched kernel and TWRP 3.1.1
then i flashed magisk v12 and as SU binaries I chose SuperSU v82...
after booting and opening the SuperSu app it wants me to grant root access for itself, it says "greant for SuperSu" and then the app freezes and keeps crashing :/ reinstalling did not help, is v82 not compatible with 7.1.1 sony rom?
What kernel do you flashed

the patched .160 kernel for e6653. I reflashed the 7.1.1 ftf and wiped everything except data so my system and stuf are back to normal, flashed the kernel and recovery again and this time I only flashed magisk v12 without SuperSu v82
now root is working
it seems like magisk v12 in combination with supersu v82 does not work ^^
First supersu then Magisk, otherwise is wrong.

Magisk has root built-in, there is no reason to flash SuperSU if you've successfully flashed Magisk. You either flash Magisk OR SuperSU, not both.

Not for noob. If you want to use SuperSU with Magisk Modules, then you have to flash both with this order(SuperSU, Magisk).
Already mentioned on my thread..
Magisk is a module manager like Xposed. If you dont know..

Anyone running Xposed Nougat on rooted stock?

So now that the unofficial Xposed for Nougat is out, has anyone gotten it to work on a rooted stock mate 9?
It looked like it might be just for magisk, but root is via SuperSU for us.

First off you need to be on a B182+ firmware and flash Twrp 3.1.0-1.
For decrypted (Wipe - 'Format Data' in twrp then back to twrp start screen and Reboot - Reboot recovery, this erases all user data/apps and you need to flash public and hw zip after you've formatted) use the official Magisk 13.3 zip: http://tiny.cc/latestmagisk
For encrypted (no need to format data or do anything special, downside is you won't be able to backup /data partition) use: https://mega.nz/#!I4FQzbyA!gBZelHmD3lGGwzGISUXkf7GQTUAq5i785d_qPHQOaVE
If you have any root flashed currently, flash back stock boot.img before flashing Magisk.

It's working perfectly...

is this module works for you?
they say it works for Nougat too
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-fingerprint-enabler-t3411066
when screen is locked by third party app (some launcher, 3rd party tile, etc) fingerprint on Mi A1 cannot unlock the phone.
that module enables that.
Tried as you wrote: flashed the xposed zip file using flashfire -> reboot -> xposed framework wasn't installed.
Then I tried to install xposed framework using the xposed app -> worked
=> Just install xposed installer apk and install xposed framework using the app.

This is the answer to all having magisk and trying to get Xposed
I just did the following procedure:
flashed official rom with miflash,
booted to rom,
intalled second october OTA update (75mb),
booted twrp with "fastboot boot recovery.img",
and then:
installed magisk 14.4
installed magisk manager,
installed systemless xposed module from within magisk manager,
and finally installed material design xposed installer
(with reboot between each step)
and finally i have magisk root and working xposed.
If i select magisk core only mode (witch disables magisk modules) it passes safetynet and theoretically i can install OTA updates (i think xposed -systemless or not- does not pass safetynet)

SafetyNet Check in magisk failing

I have a rooted OP6 on 5.1.9. An app I want to use (blind) can somehow detect the fact that I'm rooted and won't let me use the app despite root being hidden from it in Magisk Hide. Upon investigating, I discovered my SafetyNet check in Magisk is failing.
It worked when I originally rooted it a few days ago. I do not have custom recovery or xposed.
Any ideas why safetynet check could be failing or how to go about troubleshooting it?

What version of Magisk did you flash? Flash Magisk 16.4 only. Older versions don't support the OnePlus 6 and flashing newer versions has caused many weird problems. Flash Magisk uninstaller, reboot to TWRP, then flash Magisk 16.4. Once it gets going it will tell you that it can update the Magisk version. Let it update that way. Flashing newer versions causes many weird problems bit letting it update always seems to work.
run the uninstaller magisk .zip then check if safety net passed, might be something unrelated?
im on 5.1.9 with SN passing with TWRP and Magisk

Do you have it hidden in Magisk? Google Pay works here if you hide it.
Okay, so I have uninstalled magisk, don't have root, and I still can't use google pay, install netflix, use my bank's app, etc.

In playstore / settings are you uncertified? After unlocking bootloader I was and couldn't use Google pay. I flashed magisk and it was still uncertified so I cleared playstore app data. Now the phone says certified and Google pay works for me.
I suggest you flash 16.4 magisk and clear app data in playstore to see if you can get them working. Also you will need a different app than magisk manager to check safety net ATM as it will come back with "invalid response"
