Problems with Huawei's official unlock site - Mate 8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone.
I seem to have run into some problem while trying to unlock my Mate 8 from Huawei's official unlock site.
I logged in with my account, accepted the agreement, but when I am filling out the information form (where you type in your IMEI and the sort) the Verification Code doesn't load.
I have tried turning the "load unsafe scripts" option on, and using many different internet browsers, but the verification code never pops up, and so I can't unlock the bootloader.
Has anyone run into this issue before? If so, how did you work it out?
Thanks in advance.

i got the same issue

Same problem here, no verification code visible.
This site works (in Chinese) https://www.emui.com/plugin/unlock/index but tells me the 14 days waiting period hasn't expired yet.
BTW, using Google Chrome you are able to translate in English using right-click on page.

Yes after searching I also found that the Chinese site worked for me. But it didnt say anything about a 14 day period. I have a P8 Lite. So not sure if that is why.

Can't help you get an unlock code, but there are some ways to unlock it with some commands over adb or fastboot here on XDA.
But if you only want root you may try Kingroot, it works with most Kirin SoCs, and as I see you have the same model as me and you're still on Kitkat. I don't know if you did the update (your build ends with "b137", that's the same version I had when I rooted) Now I did the update to "b137sp03" and it still works.
Search for the latest Kingroot and give it a try, hope I could help you with that
Hi, I tried Kingroot. It failed
Maybe there is alter version? Do you have a link to the version you used?

If you could double check that Product ID. It's giving a message to input the correct one. Also verify that your IMEI and Serial number are correct. For those I would say just post a screenshot

I used this version of kingroot:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=14576
Found it on this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/one-click-root-tool-android-2-x-5-0-t3107461
In the thread there's also a desktop version which you could use too, it says that it sometimes works when the kingroot app fails. But I can't recommend it because I have not tested it, and it also flashes another recovery, I would be really careful with it!!
Maybe someone experienced can tell us more.
But before you try desktop version (if you do, as I said I don't recommend it, you better try to unlock bootloader with adb as I mentioned before), you can also update via EMUI Update center in settings. I don't know whether I rooted on the first build verion or on sp3, but I would give it a try as the first update was only to fix some bugs.

Bootloader code not accepted / can't unlock

So back in the day with MM i unlocked the Bootloader with the DCunlocker since i had already registered my HuaweiID on their "wrong site" and it would ve been a pain to get through their horrible system.
( Which it is, just took me 2 hours deleting amd re registering accounts! Seriously, Huawei already sits on the short straw but this is seriously the worst experience i ever had with simply logging into a website )
Long story short i somehow lost the Bootloader code and upgrading to Nougat seems to have relocked the Bootloader.
So i went to Huawei s website and got the code from there.
Booted into fastboot put it in and it got rejected ( wrong code apparently)
OEM unlock is checked and not greyed out and I'm on stock L09C432B380.
Anyone got any advice? I'm out of options at this point.
Edit: And yes, i double checked all the numbers and IDs everything is correct. Though it's been a while since I've done the procedure so maybe I've missed a tiny detail
Bump ;
tldr: Bootloader code apparently "wrong" despite being obtained from Huaweis website.
Any ideas?
Sent from my FRD-L09 using XDA Labs
Don't know how to help, but I'm having same problems with how I registered too

Unfortunately i cant quite remember how i eventually got it to work but i think i logged into my original account by going on a different login server, "vmall7" instead of "vmall5"
or something similar, deleted the account and reregistered on the other one. Maybe even the chinese one.
There are a number of topics about that around here so the solution should be somewhere.
Doesnt help much though when your code just gets rejected
Edit: is there a possible connection between the way the Beta Nougat update "locked" instead of "relocked" the bootloader?
Because i did unlock the bootloader on EMUI 4 and just updated through the Hicare beta to Nougat without manually relocking first.
So ,after i surrendered to Huaweis Websites ( again ) i paid for the DC unlocker again and it did get me a different bootloader code...
And here i thought that code never changes... well apparently it does

Can't Unlock Bootloader

I tried using OEM unlock with my passcode (received from official Huawei website) using fastboot, but it responds failed everytime. Just recently, I realized that OEM unlock isn't actually there under Developer Options, so could that be causing it? My model number is LON-AL00, so I'm not sure if the bootloader is unlockable.

If you have AL00, so you should have Chinese ROM, cause it's stock. Chinese stock ROMs do not have option "oem unlock".
In this case you should do factory reset before unlock (something messed up and prevent unlock)
But if you have international ROM (rebranded by someone), you should turn option "oem unlock" on.

Thanks for the help. since Chinese stock ROMs don't have "OEM Unlock" option, how would a facotry reset help in this case? I.e. wouldn't the facotry reset still keep it as a Chinese stock ROM?

It does keep it as a Chinese stock rom, but it removes your Google account and that's probably what triggers FRP lock. You might even have to remove pin/fingerprint as well.

Mines 15 digits too. But it's not imei you use, you use imei to request the unlock code.

I tried removing all unlocks/accounts attached, before doing a factory reset. However, I sitll don't see OEM unlock. Here's a screenshot of the developer options section.

You won't see that option, it doesn't exist in the chinese ROM. What I mean is that FRP prevents you from unlocking bootloader. If you've added a Google account / pin / fingerprint you need to factory reset from recovery before trying to to unlock bootloader.

I tried it and the bootloader unlocking function seems to be working now. However, I'm encountering another error that says the password isn't correct. Then I'm stumped. Try contacting Huawei? You might receive an answer. Probably best to just call them. I've tried with emails 3 times, though it was for the kernel source so it might be why they never replied.

Thanks, I'll try that. The last time I contacted Huawei about why OEM unlock was missing, they told me they won't assist me in any bootloader-unlocking process. Hopefully I can get the correct code this time.

I struggled for a few days until someone suggested this solution to me. I worked instantly. Don't ask me why.
I suppose you can enable Find my Phone after unlock but I didn't do that.
Anyways, a little update: I've managed to unlock the bootloader. The actual code I used wasn't from the Huawei, but DC Unlocker instead. The strange part of this is that the DC code was 16 numerical digits, whereas the code Huawei provided me had a mixture of both numbers and alphebets. Hope this helps anyone who encounters this issue in the future!

You need to wait 168h after the first unlock try as I show here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=83529229&postcount=43
I used google lens on your screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/2AWWd3d.png
Lmao im so impatient
How unlucky, thought i could do it already :C
I got my phone and tried unlocking today. I was told that the waiting time is two times the 168 hours (336 hours or two weeks) which seems to be the norm. Any ideas why?
Weird. Why mine only 7 days ?
How did you find out that you need to wait 7 days ? Where did you read it ? I am asking because everything what show me that software for Windows is only Chinese characters . I use the latest software from the official site and I can confirm that is the same like in the link on second post .
If I receive the Chinese characters it's ok ? Do I need to wait ? Or is something wrong and I need to do something?

I think I've gotten this error message before. It has something to do with your account not being connected for unlocking properly. Make sure :
1. You have find my device on
2. When requesting BL unlock ( from dev options) that your inserted sim card is the same as the one listed in your Mi account
3. Your PC connection is stable
You can also try to translate the Chinese (if you can copy it) :silly:
Hope I helped somehow
168 (7 days) is normal wait tim e for unlocking poco x3

i had to log in on the xiaomi mi account and deleted my account and make again the same account so i can unlock my phone
this is if somone have the same problem like me , try another xiami account or delete your account (do backup) and then make it again
solved ,
Now do i need to wait 168 hours, 7 days , if i press again after 4 days ? they will reset the counter ? if i reset the phone ?
or is binded on the mi account is nothing to do with the phone itself?

Congrats on solving the problem. When i bought my phone, I reset it a couple of times because of software issues and the counter didn't reset. Only thing to watch out for is that you don't take out the sim you used to activate your Mi account with for more than a couple hours.

Download Google translate and press camera and point it to that Chinese writing and you will find out what is the problem . In my case how you can see the print screen the translate saying that find my phone it was activated and I cannot unlock the bootloader with this account. So I deleted the account and I sign up again . Same email same phone number . What I noticed when I log in on the mi unlock software for Windows I saw on the top right the account number has changed . I got different numbers (example 573638942)
After I done done the sign up again I was able to proceed to another step .
This happened to me because the account it was 6 years old and never use it . ( I think)

FRP Google protection Mediapad T5

Hello, I bought a Mediapad T5 AGS2-L03 in a garage sale but when I started to configure it, I always have a message that I must connect it to a Google account already registered on this tablet . Unfortunately I don't have the guy's contact details and I can't do anything with the tablet. I tried several sites and videos that show us how to bypass this protection but nothing works because there is still an item missing that they show on the videos.
Can somebody help me please.
Thank you very much
This ZIP worked for me : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-frp-unlock-with-twrp.3827277/#post-85127665
You'll need to flash TWRP recovery first, using fastboot, and then boot into TWRP recovery to flash the ZIP.
That won't work since the bootloader is locked during an FRP lock with no way of enableing OEM unlock from the android settings. I'm about to try this method using the testpoint to unlock the bootloader and then I am going to use the zip from the link above to try to get TWRP on my AGS2-L03
Edit: Ah I see, yeah you'll need to unlock bootloader first. Let us know how you fare ! I did that same process with the test points and then flashing the ZIP and all went well, so hopes are high for you
