Sorry, was writing the guide late last night and got confused, its for only the 2013 variant!

Just hit cancel for Twrp password. Also this may have the same issue as the other root tool, if you aren't flashing a rom after unlock and root you must clear data in Twrp. There are threads around here about it, in general I believe. Try booting back into bootloader then Twrp and wipe data, see if it boots. I fixed mine this way. If not there is a restore dead nexus 1 click in the development forum that'll get you up and running again.

Good to hear. I think more instructions should be in the op, like the data wipe If not flashing a custom rom.

no it saying I have to manually reroot because super user has no binaries so Im not rooted

Either try update the binaries or grab the su. Zip from the manual root thread and flash in twrp

oh, sorry about that, this tool is an alpha(do not have the device but has been tested) as for the bootloop part the program asks you if your stuck in a bootloop then directs you to a thread that fixes that as these are 2 different processes.
this tool is classed as development, and the unbrick process is part of trouble shooting and help!

Has any one experienced negative of 8.1.15.0 update?
I'm worried as sometimes update will not be good and people want going back (downgrade).

On unlocked bootloader U can downgrade anytime through flash tool....

I have to wait for 10 days as I today applied request to MIUI to unlock bootloader, is there any shortcut to unlock it now itself?
Can you give me the links and detailed steps of using Flash Tool. I would like to root my Redmi Note 4 without flashing rom. Kindly guide me / share your knowledge

[Recovery][PORT] ZCX-TWRP Recovery for Redmi 3S/Prime [ALPHA]

Thanks to MIUI China Fourm Member BY~XM for compiling a New TWRP with OTA Support for Redmi Note 3 SnapDragon. Please thank him on his original post.
Note :
This is in alpha stage and has some bugs. We will fix it soon.
Pre-requisite
1. Redmi 3S/Prime
2. Unlocked Bootloader
Steps
Method 1 : Manual Flash
1. Download Recovery Image from my Google Drive.
2. If you not installed ADB Drivers, Install them. You can find driver files in my Google Drive. Dont know how to install...? Google it...!
3. Download and Install Minimal Adb & Fastboot
4. Copy Recovery Image to ADB Folder.
5. Right Click when Holding Shift key and Click "Open command window here"
6. Switch Off your Phone and Press and hold Volume Down + Power Buttons.
7. Enter following commands

fastboot flash recovery <recovery.img>
Code:
fastboot boot <recovery.img>
Note : Replace "<recovery.img>" with recovery image filename. ex: ZCX-TWRP_LAND_ALPHA_2.0.img
Method 2 : Using Script
If you don't want to do all manually.. you can use Script Flash Zips.
1. Download Zip
2. Extract it
3. To flash TWRP Permanently Open Flash.bat or To test temporarily Open Boot.bat
After Flash/Boot
As this is compiled by Chinese Dev.. its startup language is Chinese. To set language to English Follow Below Pictures

Switch off device. Hold down vol up+vol down+power button. You should be able to access recovery now.

Oh sorry. Well, I think you need to flash twrp via fastboot. Find a pc and flash it.

same happen to me. I been going back and flash the ROM easily once again without wipes and than it works

Flyme OS has a long first boot time. Just wait for 20 mins or so.

DT2W depends on a kernel, not a ROM. So it should work if you find a dt2w kernel.

According to several sites 32 bit. Also if You will try to install 64 bit rom TWRP will cause error something like "image size you want to install is bigger than partition size"

Can confirm, almost bricked my device trying to fix it.

after format data, when you just boot into system, then let encrypt, then reboot recovery, does twrp decrypt your data partition? or does decryption never work at all?

adoptable storage has encrypted the MicroSD Card and bond it to /data. you must format /external_sd too after format /data when recently used as adoptable storage, don't you?
can you please upload recovery.log after (format data + installing Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt.zip + and restoring backup)?
