Whenever my phone is set to vibrate i find that if i receive a text message it will only vibrate like 3 times (in a pulsing way, one after another) then stops and if i have the ringer on it vibrates one time for like 5 secs....is there any way to increase the vibrating time, such as to have it vibrate like until i open or dismiss it?? also the speaker volume is very low even when i try to answer a phone call its so low that i can barely hear the person on the phone although the volumes all the way up.....any help is appreciated and thanks in advanced
Does anyone know how to make the SMS single vibrate notification *shorter* (e.g. same length as the phone connection notification)
I also am intersted in figuring out how to do so. Please help.
Hello to all,
Company I work for has finally moved from mandatory issued BB's to BYOD. But, I have to admit, the BB Profile Management is very good and lets you tweak most everything regarding sound, vibration, and LED.
My goal with this post is to discover if it is possible create an APP that will interface/manage the sound, vibration, and LED on my Android device.
I have a an AT&T Galaxy Note 2 SGH-I317 at version 4.1.2.
I very much would like to have similar Profile Management like BB. There are a lot of apps out there, but so far the ones I have review fall short of managing vibration.Profile Flow and Llama are good, but very short of what I want to do.
I want to create this app for myself as a challenge.
Also it appears that the only hope of doing this is to first root the device, which I have done so on mine.
In case you are not familiar with the BB Profile Management, below is a matrix of what a user can do.
For the most part, BB Apps (Phone, Calendar, TODO list, events, notifications, alarm, alerts, E-mail, SMS, etc...) that have anything to do with sound, vibration, and LED will be listed in the Profile Manager.
When you create a Profile, in that profile you can control the following.
Sound: For each app you can have a separate Volume Level, None, Progressively Louder Volume, or Tone in the selected Profile.
Vibration: For each app you can have a separate Vibration scheme; no vibration, number of vibration pulses in the selected.
LED: For each app, you can have a separate LED scenario; color, flash rate for the selected Profile.
In some case, you can control the combination of Vibration and Tones:
1. Vibrate and Sound at the same time.
2. Vibrate for x number of pulses and Sound for 5 seconds together.
3. Vibrate for x number of pulses, then Sound for 5 seconds after the Vibration has stopped.
Examples:
Night:
Phone Call, vibrates first, then rings (with its own sound file), gets louder over time.
Alarm Clock, vibrates and Rings (different sound file), gets louder.
Alerts, short tone, no vibration.
Meeting:
All sounds off
Vibrates only for e-mail, and text messages from Family Group
Outside:
Crank it all up
I think I got the point across.
So the $1m ?
Can this be done, can an app intercept request to the speaker, vibrator, and led and modify what it does based on a configured Profile?
I am looking forward to your response.
Thanks
Have a Great Android Day
Keith
Whenever I get a phone call even when my phone is vibrate it seems that my ringtone always plays. At a low volume though. On messaging if I have it on vibrate when I'm on somebody's conversation and they text me it plays the tone for that. Is there anyway to disable those two tones from going off on vibrate?
I have Mi4c running on latest stock MIUI (7.5.3.0).
I usually have the phone on Silent mode. However if I do receive an incoming call, I notice that it only long vibrates once at the initial ring. If I turn on the display during or after the first vibration, I can still see the call incoming screen waiting for me to pick up or drop call. This is the first phone that I have that has this weird behavior when set to vibrate. I expect the phone to vibrate at least 3 times (the same number of times as if it rang aloud). I do not see any related settings in Settings->Sound & vibration. I have turned on "Also vibrate for calls" and set Vibration to Medium.
Anyone else experience same problem with official MIUI on Mi4c?
Hi @all,
long ago in times where Nokia was the leading company which sold the most phones their phones had a setting for a single tone notification for an incoming call. My latest phone (ulefone metal with Android N) has a weak vibration, so i'm missing calls from time to time. But i don't want to have a long running, loud ringtone, because when i'm not at my desk, but my phone is still there, i don't want that my colleagues will be disturbed by a ringtone which runs a minute or so.
I found an audiofile with a single beep, which i can use as ringtone, but this beep will always repeated as long as the caller doesn't give up. This is even more annoying than a standard ringtone. So now my question is: How can i set up the phone that this audiofile is played only once and not repeatedly? This works for notifications, but not for calls. I'm searching for such a functionality in modern phones all the time since the Nokia-times, but didn't find it. Anybody out there knows such a setting for android phones?
As a workaround i could create an audiofile with a single beep and 5 minutes of silence, but this is stupid
Thanks, jennix
