Looking to buy one off the used market but I'm not sure if I'm getting the latest gear s2 sport? Is there a version 3G and a 4g different model on Verizon?

I am looking for a new phone but don;t want to get stuck with a WiMax 4G phone again when I could be using the local LTE 4G that is around me.
I would be interested in peoples comments on a new phone.
Thanks
I'm confused the only carrier I know of that has wimax is Sprint and they don't have LTE yet, so what I'm guessing you are asking is if there is any Samsung LTE phones for Verizon or ATT am I correct?
The only phones I can think of that have LTE on those carriers that are Samsung are the Galaxy nexus, note, skyrocket,Droid charge, and the stratosphere.
Your best bet is the galaxy nexus...good all around (LTE only with Verizon)
Hello, I currently have a Samsung Galaxy SIII (International) which is on a T-Mobile network through Carphone Warehouse as you know, the SIII was made in two model variants, the 3G and the 4G models. I have the 3G model but I was thinking of upgrading to a Nexus 5 (International) which is 4G ready.
So my question is: Would I be able to swap my SIM card from my SIII to the Nexus 5 and have access to 4G speeds straight away?

It depends on the SIM card they gave you. You may not have one provisioned for 4G LTE.
I know they just announced it but does anyone know when or about when the gear s3 classic 4g version is going to be released for tmobile? I'm thinking about waiting for the 4g version or should I just get the Bluetooth one?
A little over a 3months ago I was tricked into getting a the Frontier version of Verizon's Gear S3 from Best buy. I later learn that this model will never have 4G LTE like the S2 and I'll never be able to add an independent line outside Bluetooth. I'm also told I can can't refund on it. Does anyone one know a way I can add a separate phone line to this device or if it's possible to add 4G LTE to it? Thanks E
The Frontier comes in two versions, a Bluetooth only model and an LTE model. Only the latter has the requisite hardware that allows it to have cellular service. The LTE radio is built in, it cannot be added after manufacture.
Verizon doesn't sale the Gear S3, although there are rumours that it will sometime in the future. All the Frontier LTE models operate on AT&T or T-Mobile.
Hey guys,
I've managed to get my hands on a Gear S2 Classic 3G version with model number SM-R735, but I'm unsure if it will work in the UK has anyone else tried this and if so on which network since I am on EE.
Thanks
