How easy to unlock and rom? - HTC One A9

I am thinking about getting an unlocked USA version of the A9. How user friendly is it for unlocking the boot loader and installing a custom ROM? I love the design of the A9 and the AMLOED screen. And just hate the HTC sense overlay. I want to put something on it like Pure Nexus ROM. Thanks!

Remove branding HTC One X

Hey guys
Is there anyway I can remove all the Optus bloatware on my one x... and remove all the optus apps... I don't really wanna throw a custom rom on it, or is the a RUU that I can download that will do the trick? I got lucky and put a stock RUU on my old Desire HD (had a bad run with custom roms), and got rid of all the 3 branding and apps so hopefully I can do the same to the one x...
Thanks in advance guys...
CleanRom 2.0 is amazing
I just installed it on my rogers device and it is extremely fast.
350mb+ ram is available at all times.
Oh and there is no bloatware which means no branding, uses super cool nexus boot logo instead of rogers or att.

ATT HTC One X Rooting Questions

Ok First my device information:
AT&T HTC One X USA bought.
It is is 4g LTE.
Android Version: 4.0.4
HTC Sense version: 4.0
Software number: 2.20.502.7 710RD
First Question:
Ok, so i have read around and im assuming im Sh*t out of luck with the 2.20.
Anyways i was wondering if there is any tutorials you guys have confirmed working for my version ect of htc one x.
Second Question:
My goal of rooting is only to be able to install a cheat engine cause i like to have fun in games.
I Do not at this time want to install custom roms or anything.
I Really like my phone Stock and the rom i have on it Stock to avoid any problems such as a decreased battery life with other roms and various other things not working ect.
Question is can i root this version of htc one x while keeping the the original stock rom? I don't like flashy roms ect. I love stock. ????
Third Question:
if second question is a yes to being able to stay with stock rom, will the root itself effect anything else such as battery life ? or functions?
Thanks for anyone that can answer and if you could keep it rather simple for me that would be great.
Thanks again.

More specifically root for 2.20

To root, you need to do a little more than the usual root, i.e. unlock your bootloader (and voiding the warranty).
You're not forced to change the ROM, but usually custom roms are better with power/speed (and removing bloatware).
I'm running Viper's ROM and I get about a 50% increase in battery life.

If you flash a non verizon rom, you will have issues such as no WiFi and unable to send SMS/MMS and probably others. There are some system files specific to Verizon that must be in the ROM in order to work for Verizon. If you are looking for a rom with bloatware removed, there are plenty in the Verizon Android Development section: http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-htc-one-m8/development. CleanRom is a good one to look at. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2732877

Stock 4.1.1 with Sense 5 for S-On One S4, Possible?

I'm new here and just obtained a One S4, I am S-On and won't tamper with that either. I have rooted and unlocked the bootloader through HTC Dev.
I'm using the stock 4.1.1, i have always been a fan of Sense 5 so looking for a stock based or close to stock custom rom with sense 5. Any suggestions? The bloatware is way too much on stock so if anyone can suggest a rom which is as stable as stock but has sense 5?
Also i have read if i'm S-On i have to flash the boot.img first? what's up with that?
Your help would be really appreciated, thanks

Splash Screens

Hey there everyone! Just got my M8 and loving it running Viper One of course..... Upgraded from the One Max and wanted to know how to flash a custom splash screen on this beauty? I use to change it so easy on my Max since it was the same setup as the M7. Did quite a bit of searching and keep coming up with "This is for 4.4.3" and so on but nothing for Lollipop. I have Lollipop firmware and S-Off with bootloader unlocked. Any help is appreciated!
Look in themes in the regular HTC one m8 thread
