Hi,
I'm in the market for dual home and car chargers.
I never knew about QuickCharge 2.0 that my Note 4 and my wife A500F is capable of, but now I see that.
I can't find any "dual" charger from known firm (Lots of at AliExpress). Is it just unavailable ?
Is there really a big difference between QC2.0 capable charger and 2.5A charger ? (saw Anker 2.4AX2 or iOttie 2.5Ax2).
Thanks!
I haven't seen a Qualcomm 2.0 Quick Charge charger that is both AC and a car charger. Getwow has both an AC wall charger and a car charger. Check Amazon. I have the Getwow AC wall charger and it works well with my Note 4.
thanks.
I'm not looking for dual as for both car/ac.
I mean dual USB port. one for home and one for car.
how important is the Quick Charge 2.0 ?
my opinion, quick charge is critical. it really works especially when your device has been drained. I doubt i would ever get another device without it. It is more important to me than wireless charge which is a convenience
Any suggestions? I'm looking for something that can do the quick charging in the car, is that even possible? Can it be done with a dual port so my wife and I can use the quick charger at the same time?

This is basically the same cable that came with my S6 just longer correct? The included cable is too short to plug in near my night stand.
Any charger that is a 2amp charger... and any cable.. i have tried all my old cables on the s6 charger... all allow fast charge... and its charger is 2amp.... same as nexus 7 and all other newer devices... so just go with a 2 amp charger and enjoy the fast charge. And yes they make dual port 2 amp chargers... usually 1 port is 2 amp and second one is like 1 or 1.4amp... i have 2 cheap ones from amazon myself... will test them with the phone tomorrow and update you.

any cable will work, but not every 2.0A charger will work. i tested it with a 2.0A (not the Samsung one) charger and "fast charging" did not show up in the phone.
AFAIK, you have to use one of Samsung's OEM chargers or one capable of the Quick Charge 2.0 standard for adaptive fast charging.
OP, i only did a cursory search, but i found this dual Quick Charge 2.0 charger that might meet your needs: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TGD79X8?psc=1
Interesting, I didn't think to check for QC 2.0. I was thinking the Anker one did that. Thanks!
That being said though, anyone have experience with any of them with how they hold up?
Verizon sells one, it is their generic branding, it's the only one that I have seen or tried that is marketed that it is QC 2.0, works great even has a built in LED flash light basically. Sucks that it is $34.99 though.

From my understanding Quick Charge 2.0 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 (or newer) processor feature. The Galaxy S6 is running Samsung's Exynos 7420 processor which features Adaptive Fast Charging. I don't know how they vary in terms of performance, but I do know that when I plug in my Quick Charge 2.0, my S6 recognizes it as a fast charger. Battery went from 40% to 63% in 13 mins so I'm assuming both charging standards are compatible lol..
Try this car charger, worked great for my Qualcomm based phones.

i'm reasonably sure it's the same standard. the Note 4 (Snapdragon 805) is listed on Qualcolm's website as compatible with QC 2.0. however, if you look at Samsung's website, it only lists Adaptive Fast Charging. Samsung just rebranded QC 2.0 as their own Adaptive Fast Charging. you can use all devices interchangeably.
also, the OP wanted a dual port QC 2.0 charger. that one only has 1 port w/ QC 2.0
I have already Anker 2 amp car charger in hand and i was thinking it wont be fast enough , i have seen video where quaclom demonstrated that Quick charging is faster than 2 amps charging , and judging by the fact that Samsung is providing comparable charging time with stock charger i was thinking that it is more than 5V 2.0 Amps .. too bad i am waiting for my phone to arrive.

I just purchased this.
I purchased this one from amazon when I had my Note 4 and I can confirm it works great with the S6. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P9UILUM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This is the one I was looking at, thanks!
Hello everyone...
Im looking for a fast wireless car charger.
Iottie has one but its not fast.
Is there evan a fast wireless charger (not for car)? I got one for free with the edge plus, but it charges very slowly...
I think that charging your device with a wireless charger at home is stupid. I dont see the point. In the car you can use it while it charges and if there is a fast one for a car it can be awsome!
If i'll buy the wireless ottie one, and plug it to a fast charger will it charge faster?
No there isn't a fast wireless car charger yet. Currently there is only the Samsung and Choetech fast wireless chargers out there, not even a 3rd company that makes it.
If you buy the iottie or any other wireless car charger, it would only charge at its slower rate. Give it a few more months and you might see one available, no guarantee.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't you just take something like this and plug it into your Choetech or Samsung wireless fast charging base?
I have one of those Aukey Quick Chargers from Amazon and when I connect it, it says fast charging. Seems to charge fast as well.

I use the Anker Power Drive +1 along with an Anker Power line 3 ft. Seems to charge as fast as when plugged in ,both can be found on Amazon , and if it doesn't deliver just return it but from my experience that won't be necessary........:good:
Is there something new?
*Fast* wireless car charger?
I have long ignored wireless charging, because it's so much slower than wired fast-charging. I keep seeing mentions of the Note wireless charging capability, but I'm still unclear on whether wireless is now as fast? Doubt it, but am I wrong? Would especially love a fast wireless charging solution in the car, that was as fast as the fasted wired option. Does that exist yet? Or do I need to check again in 2-3 years?
Wireless charging is not as fast. Note9 also uses adaptive fast charging 2.0. Fast but not as fast as other standards. I would concern myself about fast charging only when needed. I use wireless charging exclusively at night to slow charge my battery. I think Samsung chose adaptive 2.0 to help with longevity of phone because fast charging does not help with longevity of battery. I am still pressuring companies to unseal the batteries. The environment is more important than being able to take a shower with your phone or not having to worry about dropping it in the toilet because you can't wait five minutes.
The appeal of wireless charging is so you didn't have to reach for a power cord to plug in your phone every time you wanted to charge it. I just upgraded to the Note 9 from my Note 4. When I had a new battery in it, wireless charging only took about 20 minutes longer than the cord. As the battery got older, it did seem to take longer with the wireless charging. For me, if I'm just at home, I use wireless charging. If I'm about to go out in the next 30 minutes for a while and the battery power is kinda low, I plug it in to get a fast full charge. Plugging in the phone all the time is a drag. You are missing out on a cool feature while wasting years waiting for something better. I keep a separate power cord next to my wireless charger. That way I can decide if I just want the phone to get charged using wireless, or if I need a fast quick charge with the cord. You aren't just stuck with wireless charging just because you bought one. A flat wireless charger is just $15 on Amazon. It works just as well as the $60 Duo charger from Samsung, although it does offer fast charging. Not worth that kind of money though. Plus it is big and takes up too much space.

The duo dock is 12W charging. The wired charging is 15W. As for in the car fast wireless docks. I have yet to see one.

I have one. Works well. Got it from Indiegogo, backed a project called the MAGQI X: The Smartest Wireless Car Charger Mount...
It charges faily well but I did find on my Note 8 it was only just holding power as I used GPS...Mind you, that could be caused by the case I had it in, my Note 9 seems to pick up the power pretty quick...
So, can the Note 9 handle the 12W wireless charge or is it limited to 10W? I see the comment above regarding the Duo Dock, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it supports it and I have not been able to find the exact spec on the matter elsewhere to confirm one way or another.
Hi, I have Note 10 Exynos model and Xiaomi MDY-10-EP wireless charger with MDY-10-EL adapter. But wireless charging is really slow (about 3 hours from 20-100%). I tried Samsung TA800 and TA845 adapters and with these wireless charger don't work. Does anybody know, which charger or what to use to get wireless quick charging working?
