Thank you for the advice,
i used the home+volume down+power button to boot the phone in download mode and then flashed the latest lollipop build adn then used OTA update to get marshmallow on the phone.
The problem has been resloved.
hope this works for others who face the same situation

Hello I have a problem. Though it is not related to this thread i hope someone will help.

My model is SM-J700F/DD
And S/N no is RZ8H30ENNNP when i recovery original firmware it show sn not correct

Thanks, I was about to just give kies a try but if it doesn't work I guess I'll just try that. I honestly don't know how I missed that, and I suppose the only thing that Odin package doesn't include is a firmware or something to do with the modem. WiFi works, just absolutely no cell. -120dbm, and no/unknown network.
I have a feeling the problem was caused by flashing a cm11 build for the d2vzw, instead of what I believe now to be the correct model build, the d2lte. No idea why, this is CDMA-V.
-----------------
Ok, went ahead and flashed the unbrick.img to the specified location in post 15, rebooted, and still says unknown network with -120 dBm and no signal. But I don't know if I'd be able to tell if it worked because the phone just had it's service transferred to another phone.

I did, and thanks. I thought the reply went through but I guess Tapatalk classic isn't all that reliable anymore.
Anyone having the same problem, just flash the unbrick.img and Odin flash the stock ROM posted a few pages back. That should fix modem problems with a SCH-S968C from flashing the incorrect model's custom roms.

When you say radio... Do you mean your 3g?... Go into your data settings and change your CDMA subscription settings to NIV, and change your network mode to late/CDMA/evdo....then reboot your device....that worked for me.

i get no cell service and no internet service. i installed cm-10.2.1-d2vzw.zip in cwr mode then lost cell service, i restored my cwr backup but still no cell service, then i flashed back to the stock image that is in this thread, then i put my backup back on but no cell service. it doesn't connect to the towers.
do i need to put cm-10.2.1-d2vzw.zip on my phone to change the cell setting the stock straight talk doesn't have those settings.
i am using this as my recovery image recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.5-d2vzw.tar
i flash the cm-10.2.1-d2vzw with CWR for more network options and selected the NV setting reboot phone and got my txts and can make calls. i think every thing is working but camera but i saw the fix in this thread how do i make a backup, that also backs up the modem. and i wasn't able to connect with the stock firmware ?? but it doesn't have network cell settings. is it a nandroid back i need to do

Third party service centre ... Russian/indian/pakistani/ guy who own z3x is yours solution
you can fix it
with octoplus box oe z3x just find some one who repairs imei and askhim if he got octoplus box or z3x make sure he knows what he doing because most of those Indians are retarded (no offense to Indians )
the bad things you get is
50% you cant get ota updates
different imei
different serial number
time to time signal drops and disconnected during calls :'(
you have 50% chance you cant get stock with smart switch if you try updates
you have 50% stuck bootloop after flashing stock with odin
the good things is there is a good thing its just try to sell it to another guy dont tell him whats wrong LOL
basicaly its like...dude its a junk and i have one i hate it am thinking selling it with 400bucks and move on to Motorola droid turbo 2(no worry about dropping in on the ground) or nexus 6p

For installing TWRP I should flash also the 5.1.1 bootloader or I can flash it directly on 6.0.1?
In Samsung INFO app from Playstore can I see IMEI but in the CSC ORIGINAL box is nothing, is empty. How to make show the Original CSC?
I've finished the problem! I made a Factory Reset from Settings and everything is ok now!

Just do a factory reset from settings menu (factory reset from recovery wont help to fix this issue) and thats it you'll find ur imei on dialing *#06#.. its just a small buy...6.0.1 update is more stable than 5.1.1 and its ready to go.

SIM cards not detected after custom recovery and custom ROM

Hi, I am having one Xolo a600 smartphone. It has 512MB RAM. I found some custom ROMs for it in some links and downloaded.
I have flshed the custom TWRP recovery and then flashed the ROM to it (Sorry, due to some problems I could not get the original ROM backup).
After flashing the custom ROM, everything works fine. But, the phone is not detecting the SIM cards and also it does not detect any wifi networks. I also tried with different custom ROMs (I don't have the ROM links right now). Now, I have the stock ROM for that mobile. But, when I try to flash the stock ROM using TWRP recovery, it says wrong file.
How can I flash the stock ROM after flashing custom recovery? Also, if the SIM is not detected in many OS, whether it will be the issue with ROM or the recovery?
Please suggest how can I fix this issue. The device is working fine with TWRP recovery now and currently I am running LiveOS in that device.
(I will update the source links of recovery and ROM if I find them again)
Please help.
You should backup your rom before doing anything!
Now let's come to the point it seems the efs partition has been corrupted.
The efs partition stores the IMEI number and other network related things,If that corrupted your sim card won't be detected or your sim card will be detected but there will be no signal, you can't make calls,no wifi etc.
Seccondly another thing could happen its bug of the rom.
I personally flashed some roms like unofficial cyanogen mod which cant able to detect a sim or even dont boot up when sim is inserted.
so anything could happen.
I suggest you to find a tutorial on how to flash stock rom on your phone model or how to unbrick your phone model, google it!
That may help you out!
Give a thanks if i helped you!

So, I think this would be an issue of IMEI data etc as you pointed out. I will search for it. As you told you have faced similar issue, will we be able to get our IMEI data back if we flash stock ROM? Or the device will be completely dead?
Anyway thanks for the reply
If its rom bug, then you just flash another rom or stock rom,
it will solve the problem!
or if your efs part corrupted and your IMEI is gone then there is a serious problem.
You may need to enter IMEI number manually! There are some apps available, like IMEI changer etc. Do some search on google or xda
you can find your IMEI on the back of your phone when battery is pulled out!
Don't just say hit thanks button if i helped you!

So flashing the ENG Boot break WiFi? Does it give you the ability to flash SuperSU.zip? Have you tried using a systemless root zip? Now that it has been a day or so have you come across any other issues with the flash?

Ok to answer my own question. I have the SM-935t and I flashed the one for 935p and it would not boot was stuck on the tmobile screen then it would reboot again. Held down the power vol up and home for what seemed like forever and got it into recovery where i did a factory wipe and wiped cache. And it booted through the phone setup and now is working. Now to discover what I can do.

The guy who released the file suggested reflashing the stock firmware if you run into any issues and flashing the tar file again. Seems the phone needs to be stock setup (nothing stock disabled) prior to flashing this file.

That's not exactly how it works, his aboot wasn't modified in the process. He simply flashed a signed kernel created for internal use that gives you slightly more control over the system.

If we have adb root with this method, why could we not dump the aboot? Once we have that if Sig verification could be bypassed, then a bootloader could be loaded. The key is finding an exploit in the aboot, if one exists. But without a dump, there is no way of knowing. Without the Sig verification we could flash the unlocked Qualcomm bootloader from Hong Kong or whatever. Just brainstorming. I am sure someone has already tried and failed at this, but if not... why not give it a shot?

R7s service ROM(QPST unbrick)

Hello,
I own the R7s, I know these are the R7 Plus forums, but I didnt find a forum for my device. I have searched a lot on Oppo forums and contacted several people but couldn't find a solution.
I bricked my R7s when I tried to return from Project Spectrum to Color OS and now I have only fastboot access and the bootloader is locked.
On the Oppo forums I read, that I should contact a forum administrator to give me the tools necessary to unbrick the R7s. I contacted him several days ago, but got no answer.
Is there anyone here that might know where can I download these tools? I would be in your debt!
Thank you!

Ok, tried with the R7f service ROM and although the process starts, it hangs after 3-4 seconds, probably because of different partition structure of the 2 devices. Now I don't even have fastboot access. I think that if I had R7s service ROM, I might had more success in unbricking it. Anyone?
Perhaps you could get some help here?

Try holding the power up and power while connected to the computer till the computer recognises the phone. This worked for me. It sometimes can be difficult to get the phone to 9008 mode but it always works after fiddling a bit.

Finally managed to unbrick it with the factory flasher I posted above. After the process was done, I was able to boot into ColorOS recovery, and from there i put the latest OTA update zip into an SD Card and flashed it through recovery! The phone booted successfully and I was lucky enough to not lose my IMEIs

Please backup your IMEI through twrp or qpst. If have have your IMEI backed up now it will be impossible for you to brick your phone.
I am so pleased you managed to get up and running so quickly. I took a month to find the unbrick rom for my phone.

You can try to search here https://vnrom.net/2017/01/tools-rom-stock-oppo-r7s-r7sfex-unbrick-qualcomm-9008-9006/ or here http://www.needrom.com/download/official-firmware-oppo-r7s/
But as these are generic flashers you need to keep a backup of your IMEI, because there is high chance that it will be erased after flashing this
