Hi guys, I'm on l29c636 b321 originally and i wanted to downgrade to b200. so i downloaded the b200, and use extractor to extract system, cust, recovery, and boot off the c636b200 firmware. then i proceeded to use fast boot flash to flash. however, now my phone can't start. can anyone help???
my boot loader is unlocked.
Okay so I have figured it out how to get it to work.
So basically, ensure that your bootloader is unlocked.
Download b200, and extract the system, cust, recovery and boot files.
Boot into twrp and flash the b200 image file. Restart and enter bootloader.
Use adb fast load to flash system cust recovery boot Img files. (I don't know if this is necessary, but it works for me)
Restart into emui recovery and do a wipe and reset. (if you don't, you will be stuck on the logo)
Then proceed to restart. And all is done.

No.....but I partially solved the problem by flashing IMG trough fast boot...I downloaded the following :
...I just wanted to put the link ...but it seems not allowed in the forum
then I flashed them by these orders:
fastboot flash cache cache.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
fastboot reboot
It worked out but still I cant find any ZIP files in TWRP to root my phone....I think I need to flash decrypted boot image to enable TWRP to recognize these ZIP files.
Anyway ....Thank you all for help
Format via TWRP in itself will decrypt the storage and decrypt image will hold it future proof
Hallo everybody.
Summarizing: with a new, clear Huawei Mate 8 (HUAWEI NXT-L29) I unlocked the bootloader (default Huawei procedure).
I rooted the smartphone using SuperSU and all's perfect - my apps require and gain root permissions.
No, a new OTA upload comes into being.
I try to install: the smartphone reboots and remains stuck on "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" or whatever...
I try to "fastboot oem lock ******" (the code I obtained unlocking), but it tells me "FAILED (remote: root type is risk)".
I try to reflash the stock ROM (to do a hard reset), either by the "dload" or the "*#*#2846579#*#*" method: it stays stuck on "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted" or whatever...
Any advice? Where am I wrong? And what to do next to update the ROM?
Thank you!
Any suggestion? Come on, guys, you're the best...
First thing to flash OTA - stock recovery. Flash it from fast boot and try again.
Can you tell me step by step? And where to download files?
Download your Firmware frome here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/huawei-mate-8-stock-firmware-official-t3391727
Unpack it.
Download Huawei Extractor
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2433454
Open Huawei Ectract and open the UPDATE.APP from your unpacked Update.zip and extract the RECOVERY.img
Reboot into Bootloader
Flash the Recovery.img via Fastboot (fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.img)
Reboot
You on Stock Recovery and can install the Updates from the first Link
Too much kind! I'll let you know...
Thank you!

I'm sorry, your way doesn't work.
The RECOVERY.img is flashed good, but when I try to install the UPDATE.APP, it remains stuck on "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted".
this is normal with unlocked Bootloader.
You can extract SYSTEM.img,CUST.img,BOOT.img and flash via Fastboot
Reboot into Bootloader and flash this 3 img files with this command
fastboot flash boot BOOT.img
fastboot flash cust CUST.img
fastboot flash system SYSTEM.img
and Factory Reset
but this message at startup is normal
"Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted"
So recently i wanted to unroot, relock the bootloader and go back to factory condition. I flashed xposed too but i just deleted the app so idk if its still up?!
Unroot worked with supersu.
But then i wanted to relock the bootloader with the "Multi Tool 8".After relocking the bootloader I couldnt boot in my system so i Unlocked it again and booted into android 7!
Sadly i wanted to relock the bootloader so much, that i wiped /vendor and all other things except system and sd card in TWRP.
If i want to boot into system now , i cant. Either with bootloader unlocked or locked.
Only things i can do is going into fastboot mode or access eRecovery.
ADB and Fastboot Commands are working.
I tried to Rollback my device but its not working. What should I do now?
Sorry for my Bad englisch. My main Language is German.
1. Download honor 8 firmware from huawei firmware finder
2. Extract system.img, boot.img, recovery,img with huawei extractor tool
3. Unlock bootloader
4. Flash system.img, boot.img, recovery.img with fastboot with commands fastboot flash system system.img, fastboot flash boot boot.img, fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
4. Boot to recovery mode and factory reset and wait
5. Done. Now it should boot into the system.

I will Look into that tomorrow.
Do I need TWRP recovery for the factory reset? Because in Stock Recovery i cant factory reset.
So I would flash system boot and TWRP instead of original recovery?
i cant factory reset!
Flashed system, boot and recovery successful.
But when i want to factory reset it stops by 16%
hi, somehow wiped the 'system' through TWRP by mistake while installing Elemental ROM (I was on EMUI8). And since then I am trying to flash TWRP to boot, but I am getting nothing. I had EMUI 8
Tried flashing stock nougat through Multi Tool but no use, it succeeds but does not boot into anything, just the stock recovery whenever I turn it on. (boot.img didn't install while flashing)
Whenever I flash TWRP and try to boot into recovery (Vol-up+power), it would always boot into stock recovery.
Tried booting into eRecovery, but same thing.
Tried command 'fastboot boot RECOVERY-V2.img' but got the problem saying 'command not allowed'
what to do.
[EDIT]: Can't use 'dload' method because I had EMUI 8 and if i try to flash nougat firmware, it will show an error after 5%.

What command are you using to boot into TWRP. Can you access Bootloader. What's the FRP and Phone status. Since you tried to flash Nougat I recommend you try fastboot flash recovery and then any Nougat Compatible TWRP. Yo boot into TWRP after flashing hold Power and Volume Up. If it boots into stock, try factory reset. Either it will boot into TWRP or try to reset. If by some miracle you boot into TWRP don't turn off your phone. Plug it on charging and don't let it Power Off no matter what. After that download Hurupdater and stock Nougat Update files i.e update.zip, update_data_public.zip & uodate_all_hw.zip. Now place these three files as well as Hurupdater in the same folder and transfer them to phone through Micro SD or something. Then go to wipe Format Data and then Advanced Wipe and Mark Dalvik Cache, Cache Data Internal and System. Now flash only the Hurupdater.zip in recovery. Once it completes reboot system and while phone is booting hold Volume up yo enter stock recovery and factory reset. Then format Cache and Reboot. First boot can take up to 10 mins. Don't panic. Good Luck.

Tried Flashing twrp-3.1.1-0-berlin for Honor 6X countless times, no success, still booting into stock recovery.
Try with commands for Oreo as well as Nougat.

the only difference in command i know is while flashing recovery, it's changed to 'flash fastboot recovery_ramdisk' from just 'flash fastboot recovery'
can't use dload method because last firmware is Nougat or Marshmellow I think, but I am updated to EMUI 8, so it will crash after 5%.
Dude. What command are you using to flash recovery. The command is
fastboot flash recovery nameofrecovery.img for Nougat
fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk nameof recovery.img for Oreo.
Try dload of EMUI 5. If you maybe try to flash system through fastboot. You can get system.img but extracting the update.app of main update.zip
is there a tool for flashing from your computer? like Multi Tool or something.
if there is, i might try with that.
the command i am using to flash recovery is : 'fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk RECOVERY-V2.img'
Try flashing system through fastboot. There isn't a flashing tool that I know of
