Not with the stock version of the calendar app on the S2. You will need to look for a non-stock app.
The stock app on the phone requires the app on the phone to send it the notifications real time.

I don't' know. I don't have this need. That why I suggested you need to look for a non-stock app.
I just know how the stock app works.

Works just on "Gear S" with 7 next days in memory why Samsung do not the same for the next Gear ???

Watch Styler App hits the Samsung Apps Store

A watch styler application is now available from the Samsung Apps Store for the Gear 2:
http://www.tizenexperts.com/2014/04/watch-styler-hits-samsung-apps-store-tizen-samsung-gear-2/
It looks pretty good so far ....
Wonderful app, finally allowed me to put the BT indicator and battery level on the home screen.
However, seems to drain battery like hell. Anyone else with such experience?

No, I haven't had the battery drain. I still have to play around with it more. So far so good though. I'm glad it was updated. Now I can custom my face watches like before.
OK. Got apk file from gearfaces.com.
Thanks.

It can backup as APK file with ES File Explorer.
For non-samsung phone users like me, there is no Samsung Apps to download that Watch Styler.

Constantly customizing and loading to your watch is absolutely going to drain your battery. But normal use with just a custom face won't.
Got it to install on my HTC m8, but the watch faces won't transfer over to gear manager.

Uninstall it and re-Install twice from Samsung apps.

I think I may have found out why the new Digital Faces do not work properly. Tizen does things differently. Mostly it't the fontsize that causes the problems. As seen in the piece below of the piece of code out of the Json file. I created a digital watch and I had a look at its Json file, and this is what I found. Im wiating for @OpenMind_NL his confirmation about this. If this is it all digital watches need to be converted. Not GOOD!
"DIGITAL_ITEM":{"bgName":"","timeZoneId":"Europe/Amsterdam","clockItem":"DIGITAL_ITEM","clockTextParts":{"HOUR_PART":{"clockTextPartType":"HOUR_PART","textVerticalAlign":"CENTER","textFormatForMoment":"HH:mm","textFormat":"HH:mm","textAlign":"CENTER","maxWidth":0,"h":3,"fontSizeTizen":0.0,"fontSize":106,"w":10,"x":0,"y":0
Edit: this wasn't it!

I have digital faces working through Watch Styler. Not quite sure why everyone is having an issue. The only problem I have is that I can't change between 24hr and 12hr. All I did was create a digital theme and move it over through gear manager. How are you trying to push it over?

...no watch styler in GM App Store, nor toggles..tips?
Is it a regional/device/signature issue? I'm using an AT&T Galaxy S5 and Gear 2 Neo in Northern Cal. I seem to have most apps within the store, but no Watch Styler, Toggles, etc.
Any tips?

Hi, my apk file is exactly the same size with the one from gearfaces.com.
What I mean is normal apk file installation won't integrate the Watch Styler to the Gear Manager.
Only the download and install from Samsung Apps will integrate Watch Styler to Gear Manager.
May be my phone is not Samsung and it is Sony Z Ultra.

Thanks! I was unable to find the old app no matter which way I tried but the new app showed up today.
There is a free app called "Camera Controller" in the app store. It works great on s2 and was just released on 12/19
I installed Camera Controller today, it's ok but not as good as the old apps I was using with my Gear 2 Neo. I don't remember the names, but there were a couple of very good apps, especially the fact you could control the phone camera without the phone screen to turn on (spy camera mode). With Camera Controller, the phone camera seems to turn off when it feels like it. Unless the phone screen is on, it keeps saying 'Activity is not active' and remains 'connecting' forever. I will wait for a better app.
I have a GearS: on my samsung galaxy apps (samsung Kzoom ) i can see the camera controller (by tizen webapp) in the online store for gear. but it tell me "installed" and displays a play button instead of a download button the search results come up.. when i click the icon to open the camera controller apps page. it displays "MOVE TO SAMSUNG GEAR" instead of download. when i click move to gear it just launches the gear manager app again on the phone. nothing happens i cant find the app on the gearS.
any pointers please?

It seems very stupid to me that Samsung does not offer such a simple remote Foto / picture app, especially since I can buy a 5$ Bluetooth remote HW device.

What do you mean?
There is a free app called "Camera Controller" created by "Tizen WebApp" that does exactly what you want.

Send messages without notification (WhatsApp, FB Messenger, Hangout....)

The problem: your smart Gear S2 can only reply to incoming notification. Not to mention that you can only send one message for each notification. Once a notification is dismissed, you have no way to send messages to your friend. What if you want to start the conversation first?
That's why I came up with an app to solve that problem.
It supports multiple apps: WhatsApp, FB Messenger, Google Hangout, Line, KakaoTalk, Skype, Telegram, BBM, Signal, Textra, GG Messenger, Go SMS and Chomp
*Telegram support is experimental.
* Viber dropped from the list due to being unstable.
What it offers:
- Sending messages directly to your friend whenever you want to. No notification? No problem.
- Using multiple services for chatting? You can control all of them in one list. Only chat threads you need will appear on the watch.
- No login required. Your accounts and info are safe. App has no access to storage or internet.
- Send and add new predefined messages for faster texting.
- Native interface. Bezel scrolling.
What it doesn't offer:
- Log of previous conversation.
- Not a client for any of those apps.
So, you can combine this app with the default reply to notification ability on the watch for a complete experience. I know for some apps like WhatsApp, you can view previous messages.
App will be available in the Gear store soon. Including a free version for testing.
Have questions about the app? Let me know
Looks cool. When you will be ready to publish the first beta version?
I got a couple questions, are you going to charge a fee on the Gear app store?
If you do any nonSamsung Galaxy phone user will not be able to use this app.
If you are set on charging a fee is it possible to do an app like the S2 Tasker app? It uses a companion Android app from the Play store that charges a fee so the developer still gets paid and the app is available to everyone.

That restriction has actually been lifted as of a week or two ago - paid apps are now available for purchase by non-Samsung phone users. If you're not seeing paid apps, you might need to update your version of the Samsung Gear app or the associated plugins.
I think I figured out the misunderstanding. Probably the Korean market that I'm in that's stopping me from having access to paid apps.
Will for sure buy this app, when available in the Samsung Gear Store...
Maybe you could make a free AND paid version (free version i.e. only 1 service active (i.e. Hangouts butNOT WhatsApp!) and paid version unlocked!)
Please add "Telegram" too to your services

I don't see any paid apps either. I'm in Malta, Europe. Not sure if it has to do with my region. I have all softwares up to date and created a new Samsung account from scratch just to be sure. I was never asked to enter a credit card number, and I registered from a PC just to be double sure.
If anyone has any ideas it would be great. And to the author of the app, please make it free on Samsung Store and do a paid companion app on Play store like tipztv has done with his tasker app [emoji6] Thanks

I have google play credit so I would love for it to be in the play store also but will buy it no matter where it is .
Sidenote: I was looking into starting a full hangouts app for Tizen, I know there is no API but I found a github where a group has decompiled and created the hangouts app in python. I could either create an API from it and package it or try to convert it. But in no way would it be a quick or easy task... Have you looked into doing this at all?
This sounds great. Looking forward to seeing it in the store.

Phone Battery Level Indicator on Watchface

The new Gear Watch Designer is great but it seems to be lacking one particularly important indicator.
It would be great to have a condition for watchface design that shows the battery charge level of a connected phone, not just the battery level of the watch itself.
Is there any way in which this could be added using the Gear Watch Designer or some other method?
Thanks
I believe it can only be added by a companion android app. Unless the designer devs come up with a way to generate a generic android app for that or Samsung updates their accessory service to let watch faces access that info, it's not going to happen.
If you know how to code an Android app, it is actually very easy to get that information.

All in One! watch face ($1.99 I think) has an option to show phone battery level. You have to have to install a phone app called "Gear Data Provider". It works great with my Galaxy S4.

On my Galaxy S4 phone in the USA, I start the Samsung Gear app, then select Samsung Galaxy Apps and Samsung Gear Apps pops up. Then, I touch "Top" which is to the right of Category and Staff Picks. Once there, I touch "Top free" and change it to "Top paid". It's the very first item in the list - All in One! In the "description" area of the watch face details, the dev (Alex Rokhlov) explains how to download Gear Data Provider from Google Play Store. There it's called GDP. Here's a link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=shu.gear.data
Good luck!
I have found a way to get the battery of the connected phone via tasker and the Taskers2 app on the gear s2. Just make a task in tasker that displays the battery level on the notification bar of the phone for three seconds, and then removes it. It will then display your phones battery % on your gear s2. Its not integrated into the watch face, but it works for me.
You will need to have Tasker, Tasks2 on your watch, and the paid companion app TaskS2

Now that WatchMaker is compatible with the Gear, you can use that to show Phone Battery Level as well as Watch Battery Level. However, the Step Counter and Weather Information are both not working properly, unless Im missing something in the settings of the app.
Weather works.

I'm testing the solution above in these days. Fit2 and S3 work togheter well. The problem is the smartphone. If in S Healt you select data origin " all steps" S Health includes also the smartphone, but only a little part of the steps from smartphone. Probably is correct. I don't understand this number. Is not possible to delete these steps.

I wear S3 and Fit2 one at a time. Usually during the day I use the Gear S3 and in the evening and during the night the Fit2. S Health has a setting to choose data source for steps. If you choose "all steps", S Health added the S3's steps and Fit2's steps...and phone's steps.

Hi,
In which way can I delete the Gear S3 from S Health? I tried but it's always there. The Gear S3 is unpaired from my device.
If you haven't figured out out to get the phone pedometer turned off yet:
Disconnect the s3 and fit from S-Health, go into your steps in S-Health, click the "More" button, there should now be an option available to stop tracking steps (can't remember the wording). The graph will now display "paused" for your phone. Reconnect your other devices, "All Devices" will now only include the connected devices.
