USB Type C Headphones - Verizon LG G5 Questions & Answers

Hi all,
I was just curious if anyone has tried to use a pair of USB Type C headphones with the Verizon G5 or if they know if it works with it. I purchased a really really cheap type c to 3.5mm adapter and it did not work, but I don't know if the adapter is bad or it the phone doesn't support the type c audio.
Thanks.

I would assume that the phone supports audio over USB. If you turn on developer options and open them, scroll almost to the bottom under Media there is an option to Disable USB audio routing stating "Disable automatic routing to USB audio peripherals. This is of course Verizon hasn't found some way of disabling this also since they have removed a lot from their G5 variant.

[Q] Need help connectinb mulitiple usb devices to my Kindle Fire 1st gen

So I got micro to usb adapter and I already use a keyboard on it. However, to connect more than one device I read that I need a powered usb hub. Is this true? And also, because the mic only works with a headphone/mic jack, could i plug an external soundcard into my adapter and then plug a standard headset with a mic cord and a headphone cord in and use it?
What do I need to do to get all these to work on my fire?
1) Mulitple usb devices connected and working
2) A regular headset with a seperate mic and headphone jack
3) A mouse for my Fire
4) A bluetooth usb dongle to enable bluetooth
5) A webcab for skype.
6) A usb drive for extra memory
And I almost forgot to say I got it rooted, if that makes a difference.

[Q] Android L USB Audio & Mic Support

With Android L featuring native USB Audio out is it safe to assume that all USB DACs will be compatible with all devices? It almost seems too good to be true
Also with upcoming USB Audio out can you have a hardware 3.5mm microphone-only (without speaker) plugged into the AUX/headphone port, and still output sound through USB? The way it behaves now when you plug in a microphone it assumes it's a headphone/mic combo and outputs sound thru the AUX port. I'd like to take the mic for input but still output sound through USB.
Thanks in advance.
is anyone able to answer this?

Playing Audio Through USB-C To External Dac

I am trying to play audio via the USB-C socket attached to my Audiolab dac.
I have got the usb cable & a usb to usb-c adaptor. When i connect to the phone the music comes out of the speakers on the phone.
Does anyone have any ideas how to get the music to go to the usb-c & to to the dac.
Do I need some other special cable?
Are there any settings on the Note 10+ that have to be changed?
I did try the disable usb audio routing both on & off but it didn't fix the problem.
Any ideas?

Click to collapse
I don't have the note 10, but have you already looked under audio settings for any relevant settings that would enable/use the dac?
My S10 have same problem. Just fix by restart when connecting with Dac. U can try.

Digital sound out of USB C

Greetings,
I would like to find out if/how I can get the digital sound out of the USB C port.
I want to use external DAC/amp to run in-ear headphones.
I went to the developers settings. The USB audio routing is enabled. I also switched USB default interface to MIDI.
The DAC/amp I am using is XtremePro, thumbdrive type USB/3.5mm device. The player is foobar2000 for android
Unfortunately, I get no audio out. Is the problem my DAC, needing drivers to install? Or is it the device itself? What can I do to get the digital audio out of the USB C?
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks much
