Camera timestamp - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note5

Is there an option to turn on time-stamp on picture? No, I don't want to install a 3rd party app.

Third party camera gives darkened images

The Motorola camera is great at taking pictures. But if I took the same picture by using third party camera like YouCam or Retrica or even Google Camera, the images are somewhat darkened. Problem persists with all this party apps. Any suggestions?
The strangest thing I've noticed is that with all the third-party app the phone can not focus. Can you confirm this?

I'm using camera fv-5 and images aren't dark(same as stock) and focus works.
I can focus on third party apps (VSCO's great BTW). But the darkened images persisit in bad lighting. but all apps work great in good lighting. Maybe a bug in stock rom. Also sometimes the YouCam displays the viewfinder in slow mo! Hope Marshmallow solves that!

replace album app

when you take a photo it on the z5 and press the preview button it opens the album app and there is lag when you want to open the photo you just took and I believe at present there is no way to simply change the gallery app it opens after you take a photo such as quickpic, is there way to modify the apk or something so that you can change this?
I think you go to settings/apps gallery and then clear defaults next time you will then get a prompt to choose default viewer

Same issue here. Seen this question with the same answer above but it seems after jellybean it's not possible. I've deleted, force stopped, cleared cache's and defaults then reinstalled/reopened and album is still set as the default. Really annoying.
I fear there's no.convenient way to.go. The call of the Album app is hardcoded into the Camera app. Either you take another Camera app with all the downsides or you decompile the Camera apk and search & change the package name. You need root to install the modified app where you would loose the DRM keys for the moment as no root for locked bootloader is available up to now.

How to switch default gallery?

When in Camera App and i wan't to see the image taken. I'm clicking the small preview square and then the Huawei gallery app opens. I want to change this app to Google Photos app. How to do it?
Setting -> default apps -> gallery
Did you try changing the g photos to default there ?
i have set google photo app as a default but still camera app is opening huawei gallery app. so anoying
It's the same in my P20, I want to do the same but the camera app always opens the Huawei gallery.
It seems like there is no fix for this.
I have the same issue.
No matter if I change the default Gallery app to another 3rd party app, when I tap on the little circular thumbnail from within the Camera app, it launches the Huawei Gallery app.
Has anyone found any solution to this issue ?
I have the same desire. I haven't tried it yet but am thinking I'll need to use a different camera app that allows the setting.
I think only fix is, to use an other Camera , have the same Problem on my Huawei P40 pro

Stop apps from using "Gallery"

So I have mostly moved away from EMUI, as much as I can anyway, got way to used to Moto/Nokia devices with pure Android... Using Nova Launcher Prime, Google Photo, Google Calendar, Google Calculator, etc. and even though I have set defaults to these apps, like the default Gallery App to Photo in settings, in apps like Facebook when I go to post a picture or something it still is using Gallery to get me to pick the photo.
What do I need to do "fix" this so everything uses Photo? Use adb to disable Gallery (it's about the only thing I can think of I haven't tried)?
I do not think it's possible, I've also uninstalled several apps that come by default on the phone and I tried to use Google photos but according to a thread I follow to disable apps by adb, If the native gallery app is disabled, it would not be possible to access the thumbnail in the camera app. If you find some way to make it work, it would be great to know it too.
@acejavelin I'm with @Frankgefre . It's not only the non-working thumbnails. The Gallery is bound to the camera app. It provides features like adjusting the strengh of the bokeh effect or rendering a 3D-Panorama.
Thanks! Guess I'll just keep things as is.
You can try disabling it by adb, I'm using Google Photos instead of Emui 8 gallery app. Thumbnails works.
After that you can install again gallery app to your user 0. Or try with new user. Then use adb to remove gallery app.
This is basic behavior for the apps like Facebook it needs permission to access the Storage on your phone that includes Gallery and Photos, you can forbid this permission in phone Settings / Apps / Permissions.

How to fix camera resolution inside specific app

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ and there is a camera feature inside the "MyNBA2k22" app. When I try to use the feature that uses the camera, it is long and thin instead of the right dimensions.
Is there a way to force the camera in the app to be a specific resolution or any other way to fix this?? I attached pictures of the normal camera and then the camera inside the app.
I think you should contact the app developer to confirm if this feature is available.
