I recently bought the stock android variant of YU Yuphoria, with model number YU5010A, and I really want to install either CyanogenOS or CyanogenMod on my device. Now my friend recently bought the same device and he flashed CM13.0 on his device using TWRP, but after that the phone stopped accepting SIM Card, and *#06# showed IMEI null. I dont want the same to happen to my device. Can anyone tell me if it's safe to flash Cyanogen OS or CM 13.0 on my device? Or if anyone bought the same device and install CM on it, can they share the steps and experience?
i have a yuphoria (YU5010A)
i flashed CM13_UNOFFICIAL_LETTUCE_20160304.ZIP
and OPEN GAPPS (stock for arm64 ,6.0)
itt is working amazingly fine..
you should also go for it.

Root is already given sir. Just google it. Flash twrp first via odin then copy supersu in sdcard then flash it via twrp then your phone is rooted.
Is it possible to making support of 4g in j700h after rooting?
My j7 is not updating..
It says os is not installed in authorised way.
So what should i do
Hi Guys,
My 6045K dual sim are on MM 6.0.1 official rom. I noticed I lost trwp and so on.
How can I downgrade do LL and install a custom MM zip file for 6045K ? There is another way to install custom roms on MM without twrp?

The sim card issue is wierd, the only way I fixed it was to load Eluga firmware, then with sim in the phone, I had to flash the fsg, modem, modemst1, modemst2 partitions, reboot then manually search for mobile network after sim detected, and also manually turning on mobile data. Then install twrp and ROM of your choice. Just make sure Eluga sees LTE prior to flashing any MM rom to insure your not going to have issues...
For those who are here for installing a custom ROM using TWRP, there's another way you can install TWRP and thereafter ROMs without unlocking bootloader.
I don't know if it's a hack or a very dumb vulnerability in Yu Yuphoria (YU5010A) but you can actually install TWRP using Flashify app.
First, download Flashify app from Google Play and give it root access (I rooted my phone using KingRoot) and then download latest TWRP .img file and flash it using the app. And, BINGO!!! You've successfully installed TWRP on your Yuphoria 5010A without unlocking the bootloader.
I can assure you guys this is really working as I, myself, have tried it and installed a custom ROM.
Precautions: Make sure you allow "OEM Unlocking" checked in developer options. I've tried this on my Yu Yuphoria (YU 5010A) which was running on stock Android 5.1.1
Also, don't worry, installing TWRP won't erase anything from your phone. If you still have questions ask me!
What about installing custom rom after this??

What do you mean by that?
If you're asking whether or not you can flash a custom ROM, then yeah, you can flash a custom ROM.

Dude, you are a year late for the reply... During this interval, i have already done my work and researches and acquired lot of information and knowledge about the topic...

You need to be in stock emui 8 with unlocked bootloader.
If you are in elemental rom come back to stock emui 8 then flash this rom.
If you are in another gsi you can proceed directly (flash below recovery then do factory reset then flash gsi los rom via fastboot then again reboot to stock recovery do factory reset)
If you are in stock emui 8 do not wipe anything just flash it via fastboot and do factory reset.
first flash this recovery
https://mega.nz/#!cbJFAIQD!qvp1KnZ0qxlg6nHDFmpM5qyZ9QUVIDe5PoZE0BQf8fs
Fastboot command: fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk name of recovery.img
Then download
https://openkirin.net/download/
Fastboot command: fastboot flash system name of image.img
Los or RR rom and flash via fastboot (no need to wipe anything) then reboot to recovery do factory reset. You will have oreo 8.1 with gapps ,full signal bars, face unlock and stock camera.
If you are experiencing no sound its not gsi problem you didn't flashed stock completely so first flash this twrp recovery (only if you are in oreo not for emui5)
https://mega.nz/#!a81EDZAR!2-9yPFh3reghkGcfSl3nRIJhHGkP8fqDsgUG66ewjkk
Then flash stock emui 8 via huru
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279
If huru only flased update.zip and gave you error no update_full_hw.zip and no update_data_full_public.zip not found in sd card then you need to rename them and flash again without wiping anything.
If stock emui 8 taking more than 5 minutes to boot then flash stock recovery mentioned above and do factory reset then it will boot with in 5 minutes.
If you don't have network or imei then you need to root. Then use any root explorer then go to cust/cn/all/localprop and change the line ro_config full network support=ture to false then reboot your network and imei will come back. You can do this in stock or in gsi.
RR ROM has great battery life with tons of customizations.
For emui8 flashing instructions, root and sound mod follow these instructions

Hell yess, thanks to open kirin team and you for mentioning it, the rom is excellent in use all bugs (the ones i faced in other gsi) fixed in this one and the availability of stock camera is just a cherry on top ?

Gsi means generic system image. In oreo custom roms will be available in system image formate we don't need twrp to flash custom roms just flash it via fastboot and factory reset.
Gsi roms will give you latest android os updates same as pixel devices getting so we don't need to wait for hauwei to release updates. If android p releases these gsi roms will give u update same as google devices getting. Oreo is game changer for every device.
If u want to flash gsi rom follow the emui8 upgrade method
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6x/how-to/guide-update-to-emui-8-t3807806
Then follow instructions on openkirin support section.

Why flash stock recovery ? For those who are on Twrp ?
Great post. Hope you share some more experiences.
Trying to use the Google Play store it's telling me that my device isn't certified and I can't do anything..
NVM: For anyone else wondering I installed Magisk then the Magiskhide module and changed fingerprint.

Because you can't perform factory reset from twrp it can't do it correctly finally you will ended up in bootloop. You can flashctwrp right after doing factory reset but openkirin doesn't support twrp.

So before flashing magdisk did playstore worked for you? Or did you flashed magdisk when flashing os? For me playstore works perfectly.

Play store or any Google app wouldn't work for me before I install Magisk and the Module to change the fingerprint to a certified device.
No solution, but in the meantime you can use Aptoide as store: http://en.aptoide.com
