Hi guys, newbbie here.
About a week ago my grand father bought one GT-S5830i off record and it already came rooted.
It all went well until he complained about not being able to install facebook and having the all phone in english( he wanted Portuguese, but has not such option)
Well i came here ask for help, because i want to get him the phone in Portuguese, and a little bit better.
Wich ROM do you guys advise for someone who need just about callendar, note pad(memo), radio,facebook and camera, as his pimary apps?

I bought The O2 XDA Mini a week ago , a friend bought him in germany and gave him to me. im From Israel so German for me is a bad story.
can some one help me how im changing the rom from German into English or Even Russian!, i prefer the russian one.

Just get the 1.13WWE rom in BS or shipped format from the ftp & get the according instructions from other threads. It has been posted probably over a 1000 times.

Hope someone can help as i have been reading forums all weekend and I am swimming in information but not sure if i have the information needed.
Anyway I just purchased a bunch of the new Ainol Tornados tablets for some Thai friends and was under the impression that they would have Thai language.
I assumed this was built into the ICS operating system. Also some suppliers of this Tablet insist the ones they are selling have Thai Language. But these do not.
I found a feiyu mod 0526 rom that seemed quite good and flashed it to the device. After the flash it rebranded the model to a GT-I9100 (and got rid of all the Chinese apps) which i believe is a Samsung Galaxy 2 Rom.
So my question is could i use other roms designed for the Samsung Galaxy 2 given this rom is working on the Ainol.
My only want is to get it running Thai Language as if i had chosen that option under the settings menu. I know i can use apps like Morelocale2 which only goes part way to solving my problem but i would really like a more thorough solution.
I did also wonder about trying to use roms from other Ainol Tablets such as the Ainol Advanced version has Thai language? Would this potentially cause bricking or is it something i could just test.
Any help would be hugely appreciated....

I'm a new XDA's user, I live in france (sorry for my poor english), and I've a litlle question to root my Tablet (SGPT112 Fr), because my wife plays with Smurf village game, and she want lot of smurfberries.... (free..).
In fact, I was found lot of forum to root it, but I don't really good hacke, I'm lost....
I have tried several solutions, but when I check if my tablet is Rooted with "root-checker" appli => no rooted...:crying:
For information, I have two motherboards with different firmware (3,2 and 4.0.3(release5)).
But each time the root-checker's appli confirm me that my tablet isn't rooted....
If anyone can help me ????

and I NAILED IT...
.....but the in pull to hard and tore the "connector" out, so I have now no signal... :silly: (pics will be on the bottem)
My home community just show me a (good) repaire service (27€),
but moreover I want to know if I can fix it by myself. :fingers-crossed:
I also heard something about a conductive silver glue that make me hope, would this work??
Or are they any other options or ideas??

Would anybody be kind to tell me what root app i should use and what are the process since i dont know much about programing! I am writing here since my phone is using a vpn and kinda slow at the moment! Thx alot hope to have news and be part of this community!
