Hello, I apologize if I post this in the wrong thread for I am new to the community but I was wondering if there has been a bootloader unlock method for the Verizon S3 running 4.4.2. I've been searching for a couple hours and can only find unlock methods for either 4.1.2 or threads from 2014 saying you can't do it. I was wondering if there has been a method found yet. Thank you

Hello,
I have a AT&T i727 SkyRocket Galaxy S2, I'm currently trying to unlock the phone. I purchased an unlock code from CellUnlocker.net. I'm unable to unlock the phone doesnt give me an error besides unsuccessful unlock. I tried getting help from CellUnlocker.net, very nice people but problem is it seems like they never ran in to this issue before. I was told I had to be on a certain baseband (modem ver.), I was also told i had to be on a stock Rom..
I have searched the forums and i was unable to find answers.
I read around that "usb unlock" is easier and better way to unlock it, I just dont know how to do that or who provides that service.
My question has anyone had any issues unlocking this version of the Galaxy S2 ?
Is there a simpler way of unlocking this phone ?
Any other recommendations of websites that can provide a USB unlock ?

I'm new to this forum so I'm not sure if this topic already exist but I want to know if I flash a stock ROM such as lollipop to my unlocked AT&T phone, would it relock to default network? I unlocked it by purchasing an unlock code from a website.
Also can you root SGH-I337 on lollipop?
Thanks.

Hello, and welcome to XDA. The best thing to do would be to register and ask your questions in the dedicated help forum for your device: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-att/help Yes, it is possible to root and install lollipop on your device. You can find lollipop firmware here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-att/general, and there are custom lollipop roms as well here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-att/development and here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-att/orig-development
Have fun!

Since metro pcs is TMobile I don't think the rooting options would work, however have you tried using towelroot?
Nexus 6 via Pure Nexus

I haven't tried any rooting yet because I was unsure of which model to base my searches off of. I will give towelroot a shot!
EDIT: Towelroot was a success!
Hello. I am thinking of upgrading my Verizon Samsung S5. What would be a good choice to upgrade to where I can unlock the bootloader and have root access? Thanks in advance.
Read Muniz_ri's update and keep root thread and the unlock bootloader thread. There's plenty of information in these threads without making a thread that these topics are already discussed in....lol. if you have the eMMC 15 chip then you can unlock your device. Happy ROM'n
Just wanted to know if anybody found a way to root my AT&Ts galaxy note 5 SM-N920A im so frustrated it's not possible to root this Phone its currently has marshmallow on it. can't believe AT&T found the way to stop people from rooting a phone. If there's any developer willing to root this phoneI will be the first one to root it on marshmallow.
