[Completed] Exnyos roms are dead... - XDA Assist

WHY ??? all the developers will show the interest in developing roms in snapdragon chipset. why not on exynos chipset??
well i think exynos chipset is very good at performance wise as compare to the snapdragon chipset. But why all the developers will always show there interested in creating roms on snapdragon?? as i surfed many sites for hoping that there will be best roms for exynos but that all went into ruined. As i own a exynos phone i was a jealous about the snapdragon variant that getting newer features when ever a the successsor phone come into the market. And i hope that the developers will show the interest in developing new roms for the exynos chipset.:good::good:

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist,
it's very hard to develop ROMs and other modifications for Exynos devices, because there are no sources, which can be used for building. Please have a look at the post by @codeworkx here too. If you have further questions, please ask them here: [HELP THREAD] Ask ANY Question. Noob Friendly.
Kind regards and good luck

[Completed] [ please reply fast ] overclocking mtk processors, need help

I have recently read on xda that mediatek is going to provide source code, does this means that mtk cpu can be overclocked like mt6575.
I am going to buy micromax unite 2 today it has mt6582 processor, itis possible to overclock it once the source code is available.
Hi!
No one can answer your question for certain. Until source is released, it seems no, you can't overclock. And when it is released, devs will need to work on custom kernels with overclocking ability.
So this discussion is all speculation. Personally, I'd never buy a device with hopes that one day I might be able to do something. I buy a device that suits my needs now. Cause nothing is ever a sure thing in the future.
Anyway.....if you want to ask this question and discuss it with others ...our general Q&A section would probably be the place for it. XDA Assist is not a place for discussions.

[Completed] [Q] Can I root Vestel VP73 tablet?

I recently bought this Turkish-German brand "Vestel" tablet
I had some nice specs and it was cheap ...
Specs://
Manufacturer: VP73_Telefunken (Vestel)
CPU: 2xARM Cortex-A7 @ 1200MHz
OS based:Android 4.2.2
Kernel: arm7l (3.4.39)
Ram: 825MB saying it's 1GB on case
Scaned with "CPU-z" where it says it has no Root Acces so I want to ask for proffesional opinion!
Can this device be rooted to support Cyanogenmod?!
I have some experiance with rooting and switching OS's but this little Turkish s*it has no interest in something like that!
Since it has no online info, and if it has it's on Turkish forums....I'm STUCK help please
Thanks in advance....
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Unfortunately you might be fresh out of luck with this device, one of the dangers of buying a cheap unknown device is that there's little or no dev support for it. In this case I couldn't find a single post/thread (apart from this one) on XDA mentioning this device. You could try your luck by asking your question in the general q&a section though.

[Completed] [REQUEST] Android 5.0 ROM for Karbonn Titanium s1 plus

Can anyone please port a Lollipop ROM for karbonn titanium s1 plus?
It has snapdragon 200 processor and aderno 305 GPU with 1 GB RAM.
Thanks.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. The purpose of XDA Assist is not to provide technical support but to point you in the right direction to get your question answered. Porting roms is very time consuming so unless you find someone who has the same device and the technical knowledge to port the rom it is going to be difficult to get someone to do it for you. You might try your hand at porting. here are some guides that could help:
