I'd like to flash from MIUI8 to the official CyanogenMod release but I would like to avoid the hassle of reinstalling and setting everything up for the fifth time, but since it's MIUI>AOSP, a clean wipe is necessary.
Is there any way to preserve only installed app data/etc while flashing ROMs, or restore it once I'm on CM13?

Hello,
No there is no such way unless you use Titanium Backup or any similar backup and restore app.

Why not use one of the official or cooked ROM's?
Or you can use this to easily dump a rom ... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=238945

This question has been answered many times.

I´m using Lestatious Rom.
I like it, but I want to try another custom rom.
The good thing with Lestatious: I can update without losing my apps and preferences.
Is there another custom rom which has this ability? (I know that titanium backup exists, but I don´t like it - it failed to often for a complete backup/restore).
Instead of posting a new thread you could have just seen the update method of custom rom of ur choice...well there is none except lestatious....

After 2 years of rooting, flashing custom roms, what I see the most important things before flashing anything is
1st.. Backup your rom / apps
2nd.. Efs backup
Here, I won't share link how to backup rom /apps , also believe most can do it, but if you wanna know, @stamatis

Efs backup is as important as backing up rom, many had encounter many problems (imei lost, modem null) now I have two link that backup efs with your phone

Yep... So does philz but I hope by creating this thread, most can avoid efs lost as most don't do it with recovery, if they use app like this, most will surely do
I've seen many threads (about over 40 threads) with efs lost..And so, created this one..
Yeah I guess it would suck to lose your IMEI...

Thanks. Lot
nice app...
Thanks for moderators to move my thread to correct forum
I cannot find the xda thread to remove all bloatware from an installed custom ROM. There was a thread that removes some duplicates from installed Rom. I used it many time but some how lost it. Do you know any thread where this has been mentioned?
I am on Euphoria Rom 5.1 for Bacon. I want to remove specially the music player etc. I know the manual way but the automated script (.zip) file does removes many other things making my device much faster. So, if someone has this please do share.

Wrong forum dude. Go to Q and A or general section.
Better click below link.
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=how+to+uninstall+system+apps+in+android
You do not have to create a thread for that. Especially in development section..
Download 3C toolbox, boom!
Thread moved out of development section. Please keep development sections for development......nothing else.
Thanks,
Darth

I highly doubt there's a script that would cover all ROMs as each ROM has different pre-installed apps present, you'll just need to do it manually.

You can try following this tutorial. It will work for RN7P as well. Only thing is, the video is in Portugese... And of course, you are doing this at your own risk
