Anyone who runs my ROMS knows that I thoroughly test my work before I even make it available for testing.
I try to release bug free Fully Custom FAR FROM STOCK ROM!!!
How to deal with BUGS and Reporting Issues
Sometimes a small bug or two can make itself present with a different users setup, and I'm sure if that happens you guys will be so happy to point it out and drag it on for 5 pages!!!
I will not respond to ANY KNOW bug issues!!!
Please use the "Search" button
and if you do find a bug give it a title in the subject line like "Bug report xxxxxx" so users who do use the search first will be able t find them faster and not waste value thread post on repeating nonsense!!!
See the "Know Issues" below for the current bug report and solutions.
Thanks you
Confirmed and written by users specific to the device 920/925 T/W8 - These are the steps (with screenshots) users use and confirmed ZERO issues with "FCs" and "Call not sent" issues, if any other experience the same they can follow those too:
In TWRP recovery:
1) wipe
2) Advanced wipe
3) wipe---> Dalvik/Cache/Data/System
4) Flash the V2 Rom
5) After it boot at setup wizard let the device sit for 5 minutes for Rom to settle. Go thru SETUP WIZARD and see if you get any FCs and test your dialer to see if you can make calls, IF NOT follow the following steps.
6) Reboot into Recovery
7) Download and flash kernel ( the-sickness V4 or ozop kernel aroma zip and choose kernel of your choice)
8) Let device boot and FCs should be gone and now you can make phone calls.
920/925 "F", "I" - The way I installed is as follows.
Reboot to recovery and using TWRP the following
1. Full wipe excluding the internal memory.
2. Flash rom.
3. Flash this incall audio patch.
4. Install hacker kernel version 14
5. Boot rom and setup.
6. Setup ozop control.
Then tested in call audio by talking to my other who is in Spain while I'm In the UK.
v3 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
*CLEAN INSTALL FULL WIPE RECOMMENDED(If you dirty flash and have issue DO NOT POST BUG REPORTS!!!)
1) Just install like normal
2) Kernel install is OPTIONAL but should be fine since the zip will not remove or replace your current boot.img
3) be patient!! Boot time is around 12 min, but could take up to 20!
4) IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT SETUP: THE SETUP IS HIT OR MISS DEPENDING ON YOUR SIGNAL CONNECTION, WIFI IS BEST.
THE OPTIONS FOR SETUP ARE AS FOLLOWS:
AS SOON AS THE SETUP SCREEN COMES ON JUST START "SKIPPING", HIT SKIP, SKIP, SKIP ALL THE WAY TO THE END BEFORE THE DATA CONNECTS OR IF YOU WANT TO SETUP AND GET STUCK ON THE "CHECKING CONNECTION FLASH THIS TO REMOVE_SETUP_WIZARD
5) Now you should be on your home screen, time to activate OZOP Control mods! Do this by opening the app and granting super user of course, the app is verifying some files in the system then you will see instant changes to the statusbar, but that's not enough. So firsst open the sections menu by hitting the 3 lines in the top left of the screen, then first open the "All Colors/BG's" sections, then click to open each of the 7 sections within that menu option. That will get most of the mods activated. You can now go and actviate the rest by simply opening, then closing each part of each section.
That's is. ENJOY!!!!
OZOP v5 Installation Instructions, Discussion and Download Link begins here
INSTRUCTIONS FOR POST INSTALL SET UP OF OZOP CONTROL:
1) CLEAN INSTALL RECOMMENDED BECAUSE OF THE NEW BUILD OF OZOP CONTROL APP
2) SET UP LIKE NORMAL
3) FIRST THING IS GO TO OZOP CONTROL AND GRANT ROOT ACCESS
4) CLICK THE 3 LINES FOR MENUS ON TOP LEFT
5) OPEN EACH SECTION AND each sub section AND THAT WILL ACTIVATE THE MODS AND YOU WILL NOTICE CHANGES INSTANTLY
6) ENJOY

And this is ONLY in addition to what is currently listed in the feature section of the OP and only what was added since v3!
I hope everyone enjoys v4 OZOP Aroma "One Zip One Place"
v4 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1) Download and place in phone storage to a convenient location
2) make sure download is good with md5 check
3) wipe via Aroma is recommended* (TWRP is acceptable, dirty install will not be supported)
4) Flash in recovery and follow Aroma instruction
5) be patient and give it time to build art and boot up (15-20 minutes max)
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The initial install is the most difficult, I spent many hours trying to allow for this custom one-of-a-kind install and reduced any issues during install to a very minimal if not zero amount.
However, I can not predict how every device will act with every variation of option selections!
I have had success picking every option during the rom install, including full quick pick themes, I've also had the same selection install the rom, but skip the theme.
Theme options are best to be selected in a separate session than a rom or kernel install.

I am on the 925f, I flashed V3 a week ago and had call audio issues following your directions. I now see you actually moved it to our forum and I am hoping that is because you have fixed the issues with the 925f? Anything with V4 I need to know?

I appreciate the feedback, however the info isn't very helpful without a little more details!
Did you confirm the download was good by checking the md5?
What options did you select and where did the error show up?
What was the error message?

Of the 200+ downloads, there has been 3 reports of troubles installing, 2 of the 3 reported a bad download and after downloading again issues gone, never heard back on the third.
I suggest checking the download is good.
Then I suggest ONLY selecting the following
1) full wipe in AROMA, not TWRP
2) Rom install
3) bloat builder, stangs pick
4) kernel for your device (this will apply the call audio patch)
Let it boot for 15-20 minutes, setup and then go back to Aroma for anything you want to add/remove or theme options.
If you follow those steps you should have a problem free install and setup.
Please report back with details if you have any issues and I will address them as soon as possible!
Thank you

Ok tnx i repeat it and i will tell you everything.
Tnx for your work
I don't instal kernel from aroma i use arter kernel

ROM only zip coming soon...
Ok, so it seems like the Aroma is having issues for some users installing the rom.
What I'm going to do is update the ROM only zip and upload that immediately!
It will take until the end of the day at most I would say.
It will still be v4 with no changes to OZOP control or anything else.
It will be the same as v3 and below.
Flash rom and international users will need to flash the call audio patch.
Again, I apologize for the inconvenience especially since I did such thorough testing and was sure that Aroma was solid!
As soon as I can make the changes to Aroma I will post that as well.
v4 Aroma should still work fine for the other options like the bloat builder, kernel, add-ons, mods, themes, boot/shutdown animations and slash logos.
v4 ROM only zip coming soon...

v4 OZOP ROM only zip is uploading now...
OK, so I've updated the ROM only zip to v4 and am going to run a quick install/setup test and should be ready for downloading shortly!
The update is HUGE and definitely worth the wait!
For those already running v4, no need to grab the ROM only zip, nothing had changed.

Hi this is my log for symlink error

Still Uploading?
can confirm aroma v4 still does absolutely nothing but softbrick me

so is there a zip that you uploaded that works?

v4 ROM only is here
My apologies to those who have been having trouble getting v4 up and running via the Aroma zip and have been waiting for the ROM only zip I spoke of days ago.
Some stuff came up in the real world and I just barely logged in to the project this morning.
Good news is I've just ran a clean install test and everything seems to be installed and running as it should!
The zip had ZERO CHANGES FROM AROMA AND IF YOUR RUNNING V4 NO NEED TO DOWNLOAD THIS OR EVEN BOTHER READING PAST THIS POINT!!!!
v4 ROM only zip installation instructions
*basically the same as previous versions
*make sure download is good via compare md5
*wipe using advanced wipe everything except internal storage (dalvik cache, data, system and cache)
*install rom
*international device users flash this call audio patch
*optional is flash the kernel of your choice for your device! The boot image will remain the same as it was prior to flashing OZOP.
Let it boot for 15-20 minutes (at most 25 min, if it takes longer than that, don't waste your time, something didn't work right! Check download is good and preceded from there)
Finish setup wizard and FIRST thing open OZOP Control and activate the ROM mods by clicking every section of each menu page. Just open, close, open, close, you can go back after everything is activated!
That's is for getting v4 on your phone!
Now you are v4 Aroma compatible so you can debloat, add apps, mods, tweaks, themes whatever you please!
OZOP v4 ROM ONLY
Like I mentioned before, now that Aroma and ROM are solid and stable, I will be addressing the 2 only bugs of this projects, lockscreen security and video calling!

LOCKSCREEN SECURITY IS FIXED!! THIS INCLUDES FINGERPRINTS, PATTERN, PIN AND PASSWORD!!
Going to attack the video calling bug, then release an updated with the fixes! Of course some OC goodies as well!!!
I also wanted to say thanks to ask of the kind words, screenshots and posts about v4!!!
That is definitely the kind of stuff that keeps me going!
So you guys are liking the Aroma addition to OC?
Nice getting rid of Potato clock with the native built in clock mod huh!
I'm all about building mod native to the system as opposed to using 3rd party apps to do this!
With the exception of OC, every mod is not built native to the system keeping resources low and ram free to fly!
So keep your eyes on the thread, a "BUG FREE" OZOP update is coming soon!

never mind sorted it

You know what, because of the zip file size limit restriction with current recovery, I had to lighten my zip size and removed that option. Mainly because the stock, non inverted look can be created using OZOP Control ad Aroma. Sorry.
***********************************
***********************************
So for those wanting to jump on the OZOP ride and the lock security bug was holding you back, wait no more, it's simple, until v5 is released with the fix already implemented all you have to do is follow these steps
I know for a fact this works because I've done it myself with the exact same zip as you guys have, also I have many confirmations from users to the fact as well!
* wipe all
* fresh install
* don't boot yet
* install the fix
* now boot and set up lock security
All previous installation instructions apply as well.
International users not using Aroma to install need to flash the separate call audio fix and that's it!
OZOP v4 Aroma link and instructions
OZOP v4 ROM only zip link and instructions
International users separate "call audio patch"
Lock security patch for fingerprints etc..
I still highly recommend using Aroma! The fully debloated base is much nicer to build from as well as all the other options!
Pretty much the debloat script that I've hand written and designed will actually work with any S6 rom (not ported roms, well it would work, but since the files are named differently it would not take affect) and of course any version of OZOP MM!
I will probably be posting my OZOP_ROMless zip mod for everyone to take advantage of!
Since v4 is the initial appearance of Aroma I recommend getting the ROM installed FIRST before exploring around the the many, many different tours of Aroma available!
Simply
* flash Aroma
* wipe all
* rom install
* select bloat tool
* rom building
* stangs pick
International users can then boot back to recovery flash Aroma and choose kernel to apply the call audio patch
If you want lock security or need call audio patch separate flash those at this time
Now let it boot and let the fat boy walk! Cuz haters are gonna hate! Lol
At that point setup should be as expected, activate OZOP Control from all 300+ mods and go back to Aroma and play with the ported apps, build some bloat, do some custom theming, change boot splash screen, boot animations or shutdown animations! Trust me, you'll find something to play with.
If not, OZOP Control will definitely keep you busy for the next couple hundred hours!
If you haven't flashed this ROM yet, I don't really know what to say...
I see in many other threads requests from user to the dev to please add this or make a zip add on for that, but why?
OZOP literally has the mod, feature you want and a toggle for those who don't want it!
If it's not stock, it has a toggle!
There are over 200 toggle switches for instant on-the-fly user control!
NEW USER AND FLASHAHOLICS CHALLENGE!!!
Go ahead, make a Nandroid of the rom ur running now, install OZOP and give it a test run! YOU CAN NOT TEST RUN OZOP by just installing and judging from the first 10 minutes like you can with other stock, slightly modded roms! Run for a week and if you hate it, tell us all that you hate it, it's horrible and the one thing you hated most!
I won't take it personally and will take your "constructive criticism" with dignity and honestly try to see if there may be some changes needed for a better user experience!
So bring it on! I would love to hear what people have to really say about OZOP!
FOR THE NEXT LITTLE WHILE I AM ALSO GOING TO BE UNIFYING MY THREADS INTO A SINGLE THREAD SO EVERYONE CAN ALL BE ON THE SAME PAGE AND DISCUSSION IS ALL CURRENT FOR EVERYONE!
MEANING THIS THREAD IS CLOSED TEMPORARILY
CURRENT OZOP THREAD AND DISCUSSION IS NOW HERE ONLY

OP updated with Links to v5 download and discussion.
This thread will remain closed.
Thank you

Oh nice. Ill give this a run when I get back home in a few days. Whats the chance of a slim version without all the samsung apps?
Sent from my GT-I9305 using xda premium
Looking forward to progress on the telstra version, Are the any major differences with the csc and kernel that will not match up with the the 4g telstra modem, I.e. would it be possible to flash siyah on this also?

Maybe I'll see how it goes. You can always unzip the file and remove what apps you don't want from the system then zip and flash.

The CSC included in the rom is the CSC from the Telstra stock rom but you can use another CSC from another rom without issue, I have tried ok. The kernel is not included in the rom so what ever kernel you have before flashing this you will keep, I am using Perseus kernel at the moment without issue so when Siyah is released for the i9305 that should be fine too. The biggest thing needed to keep from the original i9305t firmware is the modem as far as I've seen so far.
Wow, very nice mate!
I will test it out during the weekend! (and revert back with feedback and any bugs if i come across them)
cool bro... one question i have modded and tweaked my own rom only for personal use tho, nothing crazy... And theres one mod i want, its the one that allows you to change your dock icons in homescreen is there a way i can get this mod on its own?

That mod is activated in the CSC. You will need to extract the cache.img of your original rom to get the csc files and edit the file csc/others.xml and remove the lines relating to the launcher. That is the location for the telstra csc, but I haven't looked in other cscs but the tmobile csc has this feature activated already
Looks great... downloading now :good:

I will look into adding some options to the aroma including remove apps and different status bar icons
Flashing this one now.
This might be the exact ROM I was after, nothing but stock, but the ability to move the dock icons.
Will let you know how it does.
Might also want to include Instructions on the OP, Just to save the questions later.
Works perfectly and pretty much exactly what I was looking for!
If your ever in Melbourne OP, I'll buy you a drink
Note: I did experience so VERY odd behaviour after trying to 'fix permissions' in CWM, after I did it, bootloop. Also tried reflashing the rom and it would go through the 'Updating Apps' and then instantly reboot when it reached 236/236, and boot loop. Had to restore from Nandroid back then reflash, but everything is working fine. Just won't touch Fix Permissions again.

Thanks
I just tried fix permissions then in cwm and phone rebooted just fine. Are you using the stock kernel or Perseus kernel. I am using Perseus kernel with the cwm recovery from cf root cwm recovery thread, Don't know if those two make a difference but I would think any cwm actions would be related to either recovery or kernel possibly, It is strange to boot loop though after fixing permissions

Hi all this is my first custom rom that I have done, I am not a developer but I have read some guides, tried some files from the i9300, tried some changes and this is what I have. And thought why not share with people here as we do not have much option at the moment but hopefully more developers will come to give us more selection.
It has all stock apps in system.
I am using Kazuni's aroma installer and updater script to flash this which I've been told is ok to use, so thank you Kazuni for allowing me to use that.
Changelog
Based on XXALI9 complete stock system apps
Deodexed and zipaligned
Root and busybox
crt off
dock icons in launcher can be moved and changed
roletube app (download videos from youtube)
headphone shortcuts app (change heaphone shortcuts)
4 way reboot option
4 way screen rotation
long press vol to skip song
rearranged stock toggle order
slightly transparent status bar
slight systemui visual changes
% battery mod
mms mod for up to 200 contacts
There is no modem and no kernel included in the flash so you will keep your current modem and kernel
This has the Telstra Australia CSC I9305TTELALI3 so if you have a different csc and flash this it will change your csc to this one
hopefully we can get a multicsc soon so I will use that instead of Telstra's CSC but until then it has this.
Credits and thanks to the following if I have missed anyone then I am sorry please let me know.
grgsiocl
wanam
kazuni (4 way reboot and flashable zip)
crysis21
ausdim (deodex and zipalign tool)
leamoor (crt off)
raukatze (transparent status bar for jelly bean)
rickythefox (head phone shortcuts app)
jakubklos (vol to skip track)
Anyone else I have not mentioned
Hope this is alright with everyone and as I learn more I will include more.
The usual flash at your own risk, always have a backup
Issues
There is only one problem I know of and that is after flashing and the phone has booted you will need to go into SuperSU app and update the binaries to have full root access, I am unsure why this happens but that is the only thing wrong I have come across using this and you will only need to do this only once.

Stock ROM w/ CWM & Root, Stock Kernel.
I'm also noticing that it's not quite as silky smooth as the original...
Not sure why that is, it's not 4.0.4 bad, but it's not quite project butter smooth.
Edit: Scratch the above comment. I'm an idiot. Power saving was on. Switched it off and everything is. Project buttery smooth!
Will continue testing.
L335K1 I'm open for any suggestions for a rom name. I know it needs something better but just can't think of anything at the moment. If I need a tester ill let you know.
I have been using this for about 2 days now without any issue. No bootloops or freezing so am not sure what is going on to be causing that

without knowing more abt u, i couldnt customise a ROM name for u.. how abt just TXR rom. something like;
[ROM][i9305][ZHALI8][4.1.1] OzTXR v1.0 or even just TXR v1.0
:good:
I have re done the flashable zip now without the aroma because I don't really like the aroma and I don't have time at the moment to play around with adding options to the aroma installer. So it will just be a normal cwm flashable zip. I have also done a lite version using prodigiez's rom as a guide for what apps to remove from system/app. I will hopefully put links up for these in the morning. Unfortunately after flashing you will still need to update the supersu apk binary as I haven't been able to resolve that yet. Also included in the flashable zip now is a kernel which will flash the Perseus kernel at this stage.
Finally gonna change the rom name, at the moment I am thinking of going with Mauseum Rom

Multi window sometimes doesn't pick the correct app. A work-around is if it starts putting in the wrong apps, scroll to the top of the list and put the very first app in the bar, after that it should work again. User help.
If this doesn't work please use the Aroma MW app in Misc, or use exposed frameworks.
Lidroid toggles may become out of alignment, turn on auto-rotate, open an application that rotates, and rotate the phone, then once you rotate back, it'll go back to normal. Very rare.

FAQ:
Q: Tethering is not working? What can I do to get it to work?
A: First remove any .apk of TrevE's first. Then please download THIS .apk kindly provided to us by TrevE.
This is NOT a flash-able.zip, put the .apk and on the root of your SD-Card/ Internal Storage, and install the .apk
Once installed, (make sure WIFI is OFF and 4G is ON)
Click Menu > Access Control and click the button that says "enable" - it should now say at the top "Access-Control is enabled"
go back to the .apk
Now, tap Yellow Tethering button
Then, connect your Device
On the phone, you will see in the notifications pull down the Device you are trying to connect, click it (in the below images, mine is "Andrew-PC")
You will be brought back into the Menu > Access Control part of the Tethering.apk
Now authorize the Device Access by clicking the device under "Connected/Authorize Clients:" and press apply
Tethering should now be working.
Here are some images to help show the instructions and how things should look.

Q: When using Stock E-mail application and scrolling though an E-mail, the screen flashes black, how do I fix this and why does it happen?
A: Go into Settings > Developer Options > and UN-Check "Force GPU Rendering" to fix the issue. This is not a fault to the ROM, but to all our 4.1.2 ROMs, nothing can be done to fix it besides what is described above. GPU Rendering is hard coded into the ROM anyway.
Q: How does native call recording work?
A: When on a call, or during an incoming call, works for both, press menu > sound record. You can find the sound recording in SD-Card > Sounds.
Q: How do I change the day of the week size, move the clock or remove AM/PM from status bar?
A: All of this is part of Didact74's great clockMod2.0 MOD, and you can find the settings to change size/remove the AM/PM/Day of Week, and can move the location of the clock in Settings > Date and Time.
Q: Where are all the custom kernels!?
A: I had to make a choice for kernels, and I chose not to include them. I cannot and will not support any: random reboots, bad battery life, overheating, etc. once you flash a custom kernel. Anything related to those types of issues are not related to the ROM and IS kernel related. However, If you'd like to use a custom kernel, please do. A great tutorial for using custom kernels can be found HERE.
Q: I want *X* feature included into the ROM, will you do this and if not why?
A: This depends. I will ALWAYS take all opinions, options and feedback into consideration. If I am capable, skill wise, of doing the work then I will do my best to provide this feature to you. I cannot promise though, that I can achieve every goal set forth in front of me but I promise I will do my best to make every one happy.
Q: I use the PIN lock screen but also want to use the torch home button lock screen MOD, how can I do this?
A: BEFORE setting up the security lock screen, make sure to CHECK the toggle for this MOD found in settings > lock screen > lock screen options > Lock Screen Torch
Q: I just flashed v** and it's show v** what do I do?
A: I sometimes forget things, and if it's showing the wrong build number please check the Add-On's section.
Q: I picked the Simple Alarm Clock Widget in Aroma and it's showing up all black, what is going on!?
A: Please download the appropriate Add-On.
Q: What is "Blocking Mode" and how to do get to it/use it? Also when using it, how do I remove the annoying persistent notification?
A: Blocking Mode is a feature that comes with the Samsung Galaxy S3, but Verizon made Samsung take it away from us. Most of the coding was already in the ROM. Just some certain things were not working. I was able to port the missing smali code over to our VZW applications to make this work 100%.(Spent a total of over 40 hours to get this coded..) To access Blocking Mode, go into the app drawer and open "AdvanceS" then select the toggle "Dormant Mode" (this is Blocking Mode) you will now see the toggle for Blocking Mode with the rest of the toggles. You can Long press this toggle to activate Blocking Mode, or toggle it and select the notification in the pull down bar. To remove the persistent notification I added the option to toggle this on/off. In the settings you will find a toggle, check, or UN-check this. Here is what it looks like.

Q: Why would you ever remove the Battery "On-The-Fly" MOD!?
A: Good Question. I really do love ALL of Didact74's MODs and I hated to have to remove it. It's a great MOD, made by a great DEV who is more than willing to share his work, . It was a choice of personal preference though. Unless you change your battery every day or so, flashing the provided .zip honestly takes about 45 seconds total from reboot to Aroma, and then back to ROM. There is no need to wipe anything, and the .zip also allows for other status bar changes such as battery color, and lidroid toggle options. Also, it was removed for future battery additions. To add a new battery into Aroma only requires a few minutes to edit the scripting. This is much easier than having to edit the Settings.apk AND the SystemUI.apk .smali codes, and add all the new images. This also keeps the size of the SystemUI.apk down, and I can edit it and re-compile much faster. With all the batteries baked into the .apk it would honestly take over an hour to compile, so if I had to change just one simple thing it would take forever, and having multiple versions of the SystemUI.apk (2 for just the Aroma brightness slider alone, between the ROM/Theme and Add-on.zips there is about 8 SystemUI.apk's I need to keep up-to-date) s0 it just wasn't working out, and I also think that this Aroma is working great. Aroma is very cool, and easy to understand, and also allows the user to edit things.
First, will check this out. Thanks!

Sorry I should have been more specific, the bloat is baked into Aroma. I made that .zip before I made the ROM, just wanted to give the option for it. If there is anything I left out and isn't in Aroma it's in the bloat.zip but I can gladly add it in to Aroma, but I don't think I missed anything.

Good question, I'll update the OP to say what's in Aroma.
But, Aroma has option for stock, 5x4 and 5x6 layout launchers.
For the AOSP theme, i had to disable ripple effect before installing the theme or otherwise you can't boot into the rom. After that it works fine.

Sweet dud can't wait to dl an install it ...
Thank you!!!!
Thanks @jrkruse!!!! This is EXACTLY what I've been waiting for. If I'm going to flash this from your other ROM, I flash Ni2 in odin, safestrap, make backup of everything, do full wipe of everything except data? flash this new ROM. Restore all but data or system? A couple questions.... If I changed the Boot animation and possibly the build.prop will that make a difference or no because I'm doing a fresh install?
Flashed & running so smoothly! Thanks so much!!!!!!

I am currently running Eclipse 1.0.3 with NI2 firmware already, I noticed the Dev is saying we need to be on OA8 in order to run this ROM, but according to you, you flashed and are on NI2 and it installed and running smoothly? Am I missing something here, please confirm so I can flash it, and thanks!
You need to be on lollipop to use this. I could be wrong but im guessing he left the part about re flashing the oa8 kernal after the install.

Thanks and yes it is confusing since the original thread takes us to the Sprint version of the ROM, @kushpancake would you mind explaning how exactly you installed the ROM.
If coming from eclipse (or any 4.4.4) boot into SS and wipe everything but your sd card. Flash the rom then from SS boot to download mode and use odin to install the oa8 kernal or full firmware tar. Then boot normally. Let google restore your apps. It seems to be that if you restore data or from TIBU it causes issues.

I thought we can't use Aroma installer because the op says aroma installer ?
@jrkruse do you know what definately does not work at this point. Thanks for getting this for us.
Sent from my SM-T310 using Tapatalk
Thanks for porting this over to Verizon. I'll wait until some of the issues are sorted out. Definitely the InCall UI may be a problem if that doesn't work.
Any chance the normal sound modes from previous versions of android are in this ROM? I don't want to use lollipop without it. Currently I don't have to worry what setting my phone is on..it can be on half volume, vibrate, or silent and my alarms still go off..don't have to mess with any settings which is how it should be

can anyone verify if touchwiz in landscape cut off on moar rom?

I started install from NK2, did an Advanced Wipe of all but SD Card, booted into download mode and flashed OA8 firmware. I'll let you know how it goes after the clock animations, which are cycling right now...
jrkruse, can i install this over your OA8 rom?
love it!!!!
I am totally in love with this fresh a $$ rom. Thanks guy.
Anyone who has installed.....what does the incall ui look like?
Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
I did a factory reset after installing the OA8 firmware, and even my MMS is working! That's a first on OA8!
This is what i been waiting on.. well something like it. Thanks jrkruse

Rom Is Compatible With Verizon 900V But HD Calling And HD Voicemail Will Not Work! You Also Need To Make Sure Before Flashing This Rom That Location Services Is Set To High Accuracy And Open Maps And Make Sure you Get a GPS Lock And That The GPS Icon Is in The Status Bar. If You Do Not Do This Your GPS May Not Work When You Flash This Rom
We are not responsible for anything that may happen to your phone as a result of installing custom roms and/or kernels. you do so at your own risk and take the responsibility upon yourself.
AllianceROM© intends to give the user what THEY want. Tired of flashing Roms and having to ask for little changes to suit your taste? Tired of having to manually change colors of the toggles or the battery or move your clock or make statusbar transparent or any of the other multitude of other little color and style tweaks that Android users love? Tired of flashing AROMA installer for every little change you want to make? Tired of having to add your favourite images everytime a new rom comes out?
If you answer yes to any of these then AllianceROM is for you! We have a huge array of "on the fly" options for you to play with. Make your phone to YOUR style. YOUR color. YOUR perfection.
Available in Stock, AOSP or Black Glass themes selectable on install, the majority of modifications in AllianceROM are OPTIONAL. Many you wont find on any other TW ROM and some you wont find anywhere...Xposed, AOSP or otherwise! You can turn them on and off at will. We try not to impose many things on people because we realise that Android is all about INDIVIDUALITY. Make YOUR Rom and YOUR phone how YOU want it and change it on a whim.
Choose from 17 preset UI Styles (shown in screenshots tab above) and change them with a click. No rebooting

PATCHES AND FIXES
ALLIANCE_10_MMS_FIX_Contacts_Smart_Manager.zip
Here is some files that may be needed if updating from earlier firmware, and the kernel need to return from rom using safestrap
BOK3_Firmware_No_Bootloaders.zip
G900V_OK3_Stock_KERNEL_SafeStrap-Flashable.zip
I get request for this alot. I have been supporting this since version 7 with @ Goldie permission but people havent been able to find the downloads in the Original Alliance Verizon Thread because the OP had not been updated to show latest builds, so I moved everthing I had ported here so they can be found more easily.
I think I love you man,lol.
I tried the other version yesterday with your KitKat method with no success. I'm going blind on the bleached out stock lollipop. Tried the MOAR rom and kinda liked it but had issues with my phone service. OK so I wipe, flash the AllianceRom go home in safestrap after flash and install the other zip's that are created in the internal storage right? And then flash the ok3 kernel?

yes if you already have flashed the BOK3_Firmware_No_Bootloaders.zip then yes just flash kernel. You mention you were on kitkat so you may want to flash the BOK3_Firmware_No_Bootloaders.zip.
The extra zips in the Alliance-Zip folder If you want the S6 stuff choose and flash that first after you flash rom then you can choose the dark or black glass theme zip then you can flash debloat zip of chose or all or any combo of the debloat zips then reboot and set up rom
Awesome... Downloading now

i'm currently on your MOAR ROM(which i believe is amazing), running on OC4 and with OC4 being the last OTA that this S5 received. Wold all i have to do is flash the V10 ROM and what extra files i choose for this ROM to work? Or do i need to flash some extra files along with what you have posted? Thank you and as always JrKruse, YOU ROCK!! Wondering if you may update another awesome ROM that you developed...? :good:
I been checking every day just knowing full you were gonna drop a bomb soon. Thanks for this! I'm donating if this is even HALF the rom I expect it to be.

If you are thinking of donating, you should consider donating to the original rom dev @Goldie as there would not be a port without Goldies hard work

I guess I should have been more clear. The reason for my comment about donating to jrkruse is NOT solely for porting a rom as it is for tirelessly supporting the GS5. Obtaining root methods, building roms, helping the community every day.
If I decide the alliance rom is for me, I'll donate there too.

I have said this a thousand times in all the other threads so I might as well say it here. Only flash BOK3 firmware if your not already on it. If you flash firmware zip you do not need to flash kernel as it is flashed with firmware zip. Also if you are already on the BOK3 firmware then just flash the rom you dont even need to flash kernel as my later roms will do that for you.You just need the kernel to get out of safestrap iwhen entering safestrap from the rom to flash a zip or something.
Thanks for keeping this alive. And of course, thank you original developers.

Could you provide a little more detail on what the extra zips include? What apps are removed? Does the extreme debloat include the others? Do the theme zips overwrite the default theme, or do they just allow more theme options?
Sorry if this is documented somewhere, but after a quick look through the different threads, I didn't find what I was looking for...

Rom Installation
Before You Start:
Backup EVERYTHING you want to save from internal storage.
• For file integrity, please verify the MD5 checksum of your rom download matches the posted MD5. Copy the downloaded rom.zip file to storage.
This can be internal or external OTG storage device since the TWRP recovery provided in Stage 2 will read from OTG storage.
Stage 1:
** Skip to STAGE 2 if OEM Unlock has already been done **
Preparing the stock rom
** This is REQUIRED
• In the stock rom, turn on developer mode, enable USB debugging and OEM Unlock
• Settings>>>about device>>> scroll to bottom and tap build number 8 times
now press back button once and tap developer options...
• Toggle on both USB debugging and OEM Unlock.
[WARNING] Do not EVER turn these off or your phone will not boot and you will be forced to reflash back to factory build with odin.
Stage 2:
** Skip to STAGE 3 if already running a custom recovery / TWRP, Philz, Etc **
Install TWRP Custom Recovery with Odin
• Download Odin & custom recovery tar
Odin for download mode
twrp-3.0.2-2-nobleltespr.tar.md5
A link to the zip if anyone needs it: twrp-3.0.2-2-nobleltespr.zip (cannot be flashed with odin)
• Extract Odin zip-file
• Power down the phone
• Open Odin on pc
• Boot phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
• Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
• Add the recovery file to AP / PDA (depending on version of Odin)
• Make sure re-partition & Auto Reboot are NOT ticked
• Click the start button and let the Odin flash complete
Stage 3:
• Boot the phone into Recovery Mode
- Press and hold volume down+power to reboot and as soon as the phone screen flashes, press and hold Home+Power+Volume Up buttons
to get into recovery. The timing has to be right but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it.
• If TWRP asks, the answer is yes, swipe to allow modifications. It will only ask you this once.
• Do a FULL wipe but do not reboot yet (wipe/advanced wipe)
A full wipe includes:
Dalvik Cache
Cache
Data
System
• Flash rom and reboot.
** Custom Roms may take about 20 minutes to get to the setup screen, so be patient.
*** For the procedure for a REALLY clean install, see the instructions available in Post #3.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Known Issues:
Code:
• When making a phone call InCall will NOT work (it will not open incall screen at all) if using a restored backup that had fullscreen incall mod active when the backup was made.
To fix this, restore back to stock incall in MoAR Control, make a call to make sure it works and then you can go back to fullscreen incall mod.
• Downloaded Themes may not display properly in some areas of the rom
• Not all Edge features work on our phone
• You will trip Knox (NOT THIS ROMS FAULT)
• Flashing stock rom might cause loss of sim/phone unlock (again NOT THIS ROMS FAULT)
• Xposed - use at your own risk/you're on your own if you use it

Sprint Galaxy Note 5 Modems
** Modems are flashed in Odin. The tar file gets placed in the CP slot.
================================================
Mini-Bootloaders
These will allow you to flash between 5.1.1 and 6.0x with ease.
Important note:
- You MUST flash the full marshmallow tarball at least once to prepare the phone.
- You MUST match the Bootloader version to your backup, they are not interchangeable. The OK3 firmware will run older versions of 5.1.1 too.
Mini Bootloaders Link
OK3 = 5.1.1
PA2, PC3, PD2, PG1, PH9, PJ2, PL1, QA1 & QB1 = 6.0.1
Warning:
As of firmware PJ2, you will no longer be able to flash back to an older firmware.
In other words, if you are already on PJ2 or newer, you will be blocked from flashing to an earlier build, Odin will just display a failed status.
Use of Mini Bootloaders:
- These do not include the OS and REQUIRE that you have a matching OS backup already saved to restore or a custom rom to flash in recovery
- Flash the bootloader with Odin (same instructions apply as rom flash in Post #1). Make sure you uncheck the auto reboot choice first.
Once the flash is complete unplug the phone, press and hold pwr + volume/down to reboot and as soon as the phone resets, immediately press pwr + home + volume/up to enter custom recovery and restore your backup.
** If you missed the key sequence try again, it takes good timing but I'm sure you'll be a pro at it in no time.
This applies to anyone having issues...
Here are the steps that should guarantee an absolute virgin install without any residuals from a previous install:
I would recommend bringing your firmware up to current PD2 if it hasn't been done already. And even if you have, this is the procedure to get it done the right way.
1) Obtain the full factory Marshmallow firmware, your choice, I don't think it really matters which version.
2) Reboot into twrp recovery, do a REAL FULL WIPE, this means internal storage too (backup your stuff).
3) From TWRP Power Off the phone. Then boot it into download mode (PWR +Vol Down) and flash full firmware with Odin, full instructions are on the OP
4) Let the phone boot completely, let it complete setup and settle.
5) Go ahead and follow the procedure on the OP again to flash the custom rom back to the phone.

i am in the android galaxy note 5 boot screen for 10 minutes, that's normal ? XD or i must restore my backup ?
edit: it was a problem with the kernel. I had the skyhigh 3.0 before the installation and that causes me a brick.
I ran down the list, but didn't see any audio enhancements. Is v4a melted into S'MoARs?
It's kool to flash this if already running your deodexed version of marshmallow, right? I don't need to odin the stock firmware 1st, correct?
