as far as i know rooting your xiaomi phone will not end warranty.
regarding checking for ota updates for RR rom go to settings then about phone then you will find system updates you can go and click check for updates.

Flashed resurrection remix Rom to my redmi 3s and my sensors are no longer working too (accelerometer, magnetometer, gyroscope). E.g. the "droid info"-app from the play store shows an empty "sensors" tab...
I guess some work is needed on the sensor-drivers... Solutions? Anyone knows where the dev posts?

Can you give the link of the China dev's website? Can't find it anywhere. I hope he fix the bugs in next update.
Overall good rom, but the light sensor, auto rotate, and gyro not working. Fingerprint sensor works.

I found an august 2012-blog post on fixing sensor problems. I cannot post external links yet but you can find it by googling "how-to-fix-accelerometer-compass-revert" (on androidgadgematic)
The post is old and has dead links, but the procedure seems sound:
extract "working" sensor driver related files of a working rom,
replace "not-working" sensor driver related files on your system - either by either one-by-one replacing them or creating a flashable update.zip
This weekend I'll try to get the sensor related files from the latest official MIUI8-dev-rom. Will post them here (if i'm allowed ). I'll try them on my own phone as well.

Yes it works. I changed the file manually using my friends driver from original ROM. I made the flashable zip but not sure if it works too. But I can confirm it works using manual method

Hi!
Im working on a cm12 ROM for a mobile with an MTK6592.
The problem is when I open the camera app it remains in black.
I tried other camera apps like google camera and doesnt work.
Any help please. Thanks.
Now the camera is working but It doesnt focus and is showing only 3 mpx instead of 13 of the original sensor.

It includes GPlay and GFramework... But what is supose to do Gapps? I think is something with libs or modules or ramdisk but not refered to Apps.
GAPPS is a zip file which contains all the google apps like google play,google maps.etc

First the camera is working know but it doesnt focus. I tried 3rd party apps but the same.

Use this Google camera app to avoid video camera bug. You just sideload the APK and use it instead of the provided system camera. The APK says for Nougat 7.0 but it works for 7.1 also.

I just tried a clean flash of this. It seemed to install properly, except that my wifi could no longer connect to my home network. I restored to my MM backup, but has anyone else experienced this issue?
Wifi was good for me from the start.
Maybe try rebooting phone once after setup?
Could you see the wifi in the network list?
Is your modem baseband listed as 0.1.c1.13-00050-m8974AAAAANPZM-1 ?
I tried rebooting, to no avail. I could see the WiFi sources, but the phone could not connect to them. I did try rebooting several times.
Pardon my noobness, but I don't actually know how to check my base band version.

I flashed it and then regulated with Nougat. I think I may have a line on the problem. When using Google's backup and restore option, I seem to lose WiFi connectivity after the third app is reinstalled. Of I choose not to restore my apps and settings, it works fine.
So, something weird is happening during the reinstall. One of those apps doesn't seen to like the new ROM very much.

I got this installed with Gapps and was playing around with it connected to WiFi with no issues observed yet.
I put in my SIM card and it says "No SIM card"
Any suggestions?

Hello all! I want to share twrp flashable zip with mi a2 stock camera (and it looks the same with RN5 camera). It is based on this magisk module but can be installed through twrp recovery. I also changed device_features and enabled all camera features (if I miss something, please tell me). I tested it on latest official lineage os and it seems to be working fine. If anybody can test it on pie rom, please tell me the results.

Pixel experence have it inbuilt , tested it in AOSP Pie , same base without gapps.

Hey wow you're a savior! It worked on my Redmi S2 with Pixel Experience Pie ROM. At first it didn't work because I just simply flashed it. After a factory reset, it already worked. Thank you!

I flashed the new 11.3.1.0 via TWRP over the top of xiaomi.eu_multi_MI9LiteMICC9_9.10.17_v11-9.
Wiped cache & Dalvik, and left the data partition alone. I uninstalled Magisk & rebooted into recovery before installing the 11.3 ROM & then re-installed Magisk after first boot into the new ROM.
I have the Global Mi 9 Lite.
Dirty flash and booted but miui 11 It has this terrible animation when we unlock screen. Something like Pup up animation. Very annoying
I installed this on 10.3.13 eu rom , no whipe . Phone works amazing, battery is excellent but I can not see my external SD card. What to do?

This what I have done, while the phone is on get the SIM card tray half way out then insert it back again, then check if the sd card is detected. It worked for me.

All works fine, until today... Gmail crash, Yahoo mail too, the system turned very unstable, a lot of apps crash when I just opened...
Anybody have the same issue?
I will reinstall all with a different room, maybe miroom from Russia group.
I'm having a slight issue, saying android resolver keeps crashing( buy hobestly all apps keeps working fine it seems)this only happens once a day, but other than that the rom seems to be running ok.
I Will try to clean flash on the next update when i nave time to backup everything.
anyone knows if with open bootloader in order to install a EU Stable the NFC payment works ok?

Try reinstall the apps. After restore from mi cloud they did not work for me either.

It depends on what app you're using to pay... There are some checks on the phone root status that you can work around with Just magisk hide. Google pay Is the most tedious to trick..
But you can workaround that with a mix of tricks:
Use magisk, turn in the Hide feature and install a db fix patch for Google pay(search form It there should be a topix on reddit about It).
I'm not sure if i would be willing to go around with a modified App that has privileges on my credit card though...

On the 9.11.3 there is mi9 pro, mi 9 SE. And mi 9 but not cc9/mi9lite. Delayed too

Sorry, not sure if this belongs here, but didn't want to make extra thread for it.
So has anyone tried a ROM made from Mi-Globe ROM builder (it's based on xiaomi.eu ROM)? Used it with my Redmi 4X, but that was quite a time ago....
Are the installation instructions the same as the ones posted in the TWRP thread?

Heyya I'll get my Mi 9 Lite tomorrow. But I got 3 little questions before I flash miui eu. I hope somebody can help me.
1. Has miui eu the same nice animation when I switch to selfie cam?
2. I've read miui eu stock cam it's not as good like on global rom. Is that true?
3. Can full cam2api be enabled with root? can't find an anwser on the gcam topic.
