Hey Guys,
Thought I would share this as it has taken me a while to sort out. I purchased my new Galaxy S7 (running Android 6.0.1) from the Optus store about 4 weeks ago.
Problem: I had an issue getting a GPS location. The only fix seemed to be by restarting the phone.
Solution: I have now discovered that the problem lies within the MyOptus app (version 3.61). I uninstalled it and it's been working fine for the last couple of days (it couldn't go 1 hour before without the location dropping out).
I hope that helps someone with the same problem!

Hi guys,
Hope someone can shed some light on my issue.
I have an AT&T Samsung Focus running the new NoDo upgrade with Chevron and my phone tends to lose internet connection all the time. I am using the phone on Fido network in Canada with Fido sim.
I can be on the phone browsing and when i click on a link it just doesn't load.
Today I loaded the email app and in the top corner it said, last update was 15 hours ago, and the account is set up as push mail.
I have to turn the phone off and then on for it to start working again. Turing Airplane mode on and off does not help.
This has been happening since about 4 weeks ago, i though it was reception where i was, but then it started to happen everywhere.
This issue started even when i didn't have any updates installed.
Is anyone else experiencing this as well?
Thanks

why would it be AT&T's fault.
Others experiencing this with WP7 or Focus?
It's real annoying, it just happened again, said it lost connection 3 hours ago when checking email.
Anyone... ?
First off, my data and service plans are still working properly. My phone randomly had no internet or service a few days ago. Only wifi works. I haven't changed anything on my phone for about 4 months. Just used it for text/calls/browsinig/aldiko (book app).
On Sunday I noticed i had about 21 updates so I just let it update everything. 2 days later I rebooted my phone and noticed all the updates actually failed and that's when I noticed my phone had no service or internet.
I'm using eaglesblood v2.8 btw.
Anyone know what the problem could be?
Hi there,
I bought 6 HDC Legends S4 at different times. 10 days ago 5 of them stopped receiving signal from my cellphone provider. I tried different sims from different service providers, but all same problem.
It can not be a coincidence that 5 stopped working at the exact date. Two was bought 3 months ago and 3 last week.
Any idea if there is a setting in a system file somewhere that I have to change.
The 6th phone is working fine, so it can not be a network problem.
Please anybody, I need to sort this out urgently.
Thx
Rusticz

Hey everyone,
I've never really been into the whole flashing deal and I'm also pretty new to the xda-forums so pls don't hurt!
Anyway, so live in Germany and imported myself an S6 Dual Sim Version via Amazon, so that I could have Internet both there and at home in Ausria at all times. It had a Russian Baseband and CSC but it worked and filthy casual that I am I really didn't mind until now. It's a really weird issue, so sorry that the post turned out pretty long. I haven't found any similar common 6.0.1 Bugs, however I'm not even completely sure if it really is a problem of the updated OS anymore...
So here's the deal.
In Germany I got the prompt to update to Marshmellow 6.0.1 via OTA. Having heard mostly good things about it I downloaded it without really bothering too much about informing myself about any known issues with 6.0.x . After downloading it in Germany my Signal and Mobile Internet worked fine, however I did experience some battery drain in the following days and decided to initialise my phone via Samsung Smart Switch, as I had done with 5.1.1 when I first got the phone because it's cpu never went into sleep mode. Worked out fine then.
Well ever since I did the same thing with my S6 with 6.0.1 the whole dilemma started. Regularly, my phone will show 4G Signal Reception and even full bars, but I am not able to load a webpage or even be called by phone. Wifi works fine, when I have these outages. When I activate flymode and deactivate it again, my reception works again for a couple of minutes, however, the issue will return after 5-10 minutes. Usually even faster when I'm in a moving car or train.
When I switch SIM Cards I can be called on both, but I can't seem to connect to my mobile internet on the Austrian card (can't check on the mobile connection from the german card as roaming is locked by the provider). I went to my austrian network provider and had my sim card replaced, no change. I flashed DBT G920FXXU3DPCA Android 6.0.1 via Samsung Updates hoping that the right baseband would fix it - Nope.
Any of you guys have any other ideas? My last resort is flashing back to 5.1.1 stock. Trying to replace it through Amazon will probably be hard, because the KNOX Counter is tripped. It already was before I flashed 6.0.1, but that doesn't really matter to Amazon I guess. Also the bug is way to specific to replicate anyway, so I'd probably receive the same device back and I don't really know how I could prove via screenshot, etc...
If there's anything I can upload that would help, pls tell. Hoping somebody here might have an idea!
Having similar problems but also with wifi. Any advise appreciated

I have the same problem with cellular reception with my S6 duos G920F. My problem is only with sim slot 2 though. It seems to show full bars but when people call me they are getting me as unreachable.
Have you had the settings app crash on you? The settings app would crash on all three of the Pixels at the local Verizon store yesterday after about three seconds. Rebooting the Pixel seemed to correct the issue. I didn't look to see which software version they were running. There was also a couple in the store exchanging a Pixel XL due to something not working on the phone, and the last two HTC 10 models I looked at in Verizon stores had launchers that wouldn't work. Realistically the S7 or Xperia X Compact are some of the very few other phones I would consider, but after hearing my uncle talk about the issues he had with HTC phones, yesterday wasn't a good early impression.
EDIT: So far I haven't seen the issue I saw in stores, but I did get Error code 941 in the play store, which was solved by toggling wifi and cellular data on and off. I haven't rooted to see what is going on, but my phone is showing that it's awake about 9% of the time, which is more than what I was able to get with Android 4.1 on my prior phone.
