Hi,
I using Xperia Z3 and tried USB Tethering Internet on My PC but keyboard seem lag , How do I fix it? Each letter it took 3 - 5 sec to appear in NotePad. Mouse Ok - Keyboard Only Lagging.
USB tethering works terribly on Windows 10 unless you change the driver. You need to change the driver for "Remote NDIS based Internet Sharing Device" manually to use the Microsoft "USB RNDIS6 Adapter"

Hi guys,I have a problem with my vox..I have a notebook with windows xp and activesync 4.5..I connect it to my phone easily using usb cable (also internet connection works),but there is no way to connect it through BT.I tried to add a new COM port by the phone port but i failed..Could somebody help me to fix this problem?Thank you very much,regards..
old active sync for Windows XP does not include BT connection for sync. Use Windows Vista where you can sync your device via BT. That is the only way how to use BT for sync.
bluetooth and active sync work perfect with xp, try to use generic microsoft driver for bluetooth

I don't know..Maybe is my BT software because I add for example COM port 6 on my pc and assign Active sync to it,click "allow connection to one of the following devices" COM6,Then from my phone :\activesync\connect via Bluetooth and it says cannot find an existing bt partnership with a pc that supports ActiveSync.Would you like to set a partnership now?
Any suggest?Thanks
I found on another forum a guide to make bluetooth work with activesync under XP.

Unfortunately guide link is unavailable....
I've decided to create a seperate thread for feedback for USB Tethering (using RNDIS, enabled under Settings >> Wireless & Networks >> Tethering, since CM7.1 RC15), so it's all in one place.
As you know, Milestone kernel (with the exception of first beta builds) had RNDIS disabled and so I've created a module that adds RNDIS support and patch usb gadget driver accordingly. Git repository is set here: https://github.com/a853/a853_modules_froyo/tree/master/usb
Current release is in CM7.1 RC15 (module mot_usb.ko).
Please attach "/data/dontpanic/apanic_console" in case of reboot or the output of dmesg and logcat when having an issue with USB Tethering.
excellent. i waiting that in milaq's cyanogen to feedback.
EDIT: works good at moment, but it's slow compared to PdaNet. No issues
EDIT2: connection drops in hard usage conditions.
EDIT3: Without Debug Mode works more fast and at moment, the connection doesn't drop.
EDIT4: With Ubuntu 11.4 x64 works flawless
-
EDIT2 Conditions:Torrent Leech, P2P, Debug Mode and Charge Only Mode, Windows 7 x64.
EDIT3 Conditions:Torrent Leech, P2P, Charge Only Mode, Windows 7 x64
EDIT4 Conditions:Browser navigation, Ubuntu 11.4 x64
I don't have speed issues with it. However I'm also getting connection drop on hard usage (regardless to ADB status) (usage = downloading) on Windows 7 x64. On another machine with Windows Vista x64, it worked flawlessy.
I was really happy when I saw this feature in Milestone 1, I want to get rid of running PdaNet and easytether and save RAM and internal memory on my device. Is possible leave it stable?
I need it until buy a wifi receiver. I share the wifi connection with my PC, which is 2mbps. Do not laugh at me, I'm in Brazil: (
Native usb tethering is still under development (it has been released just 2 days ago).
Please also post result from logcat when the connection drops.
I'm posting this workaround also here, so it can be more easily found.

There seems to be a Windows 7 RNDIS driver issue.
Possible workaround is to create a bridge between RNDIS and ethernet or wifi device on your PC.
See http://rainmeter.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=6699#p43460
I tried to use the USB tethering in my old xp-64-bit machine but had no luck.
I'm not able to install the RNDIS driver for it. Therefore, I can't test it....
As far as I know you need at least Windows Vista to use native usb tethering.
Works just fine with Windows XP, just googling for Android USB Thethering Driver Windows XP get you to the right place:

Hi! My name is Recoder. I recently brought a new Google Nexus 5 (16GB Black) and have a Tata Docomo 3G Connection (India).
I would actually like to Reverse Tether my Phone (so as to get my PC Highspeed internet on my phone, since the mobile network is a bit choppy at times, and the connection times out very frequently). But in order to reverse tether (without Root), I need to get my Phone recognized as a Tethered Mobile on my PC.
I am actually a beginner in Tethering.
1. I connected the Phone to PC via USB, and clicked on USB Tethering. (it says tethered), but my PC keeps on installed Remote NDIS Driver forever and finally says Driver not installed nor does it recognizes my Phone. (It Gets Recognized as a PTP, MTP Device)
2. I have USB Debugging Enabled (don't know whats that for). Disabling it does not make any difference.
3. I tried the Google USB Driver but it does not have the driver for Nexus 5, and with usb debug enabled, it comes as a Samsung Android ADB Composite Device.
So Please help my how to Tether my Phone (Step by step if possible, since its my first time)
I don't want to root my new Nexus.
With Warm Regards,
Super Recoder
I have 2 windows 7 64bit with pretty much the latest updates. I was able to successfully pair the phone with one computer using the basic steps: connect USB - chose pair - right click on the phone icon in my computer - choose network configuration - and so on..
However, on the 2nd windows 7 pc, after USB is connected, I don't have the "network configuration" option showing after right clicked on the phone. What might be the problem? I tried reinstall the driver and still not working. File transfer via USB, ADB are all working fine.
Am I missing something?
thanks,
So my ZTE Axon 7 connects fine to my pc.
HOWEVER my Mi Note 10 Will NOT.
When using ADB (command: adb devices) the response is " list of devices attached" without there being a device listed.
I enabled USB debug in the developer options and set the device to MTP (file transfer).
I have also tried the various other options regarding USB debugging.
Among others:
USB debugging Install via USB
USB debugging (security settings)
verify apps over USB
verify bytecode of debuggable apps
I tried installing the ADB drivers, i get a code 10 error (this device can not start) on the Android ADB device.
So does trying to connect a new phone to windows 10 give problems for others?
Look in the device manager from windows. Maybe u must install the driver manual. Sometimes windows choice the wrong driver
Sent from my Mi Note 10 using XDA Labs
Might seem a stupid question, but are you connecting through a usb hub? Or directly with pc? I had that issue where connecting through a usb hub didn't work
Thanks for the replies guys.
I connected directly to both the front USB plugs (pc case USB plugs) as well directly to the motherboard USB plugs.
Indeed when i connected my ZTE the pc downloaded and installed the driver automatically.
However the Mi note 10 wont.
It is however updated from MIUI 11 with Android 9 to MIUI 12 with Android 10.
I did find out that the file manager can do FTP and i can connect through WIFI and exchange files. Still, i'd like to connect directly.
Also because i want to record video with my back cam and view it on my monitor (mainly to be sure im actually in the vid )

So i tried xiaomi support. theyre not very good. They recommende using a different computer and running the hardware tests in the phone.
I did both, using a different computer didnt make a difference. Running the tests gave only good results.
I then connected to the pc using my old cable and hey presto it connects.
So ive asked Mi for a new cable.
