btw= by the way
I already tried this ROM and i'm sure that it fully supports Arabic, It was very smooth and handy, I used it for short minutes then I went back to MIUI because I didn't like the full grey design.
To install it, first at all, copy the zip file on your SD card, Boot into recovery mod, backup you current ROM to SD card in case something wrong happened. After that, wipe data and cache then flash Clean Kat, finally wipe dalvik cache and tap reboot system.
In case you got bootloop or you didn't like Clean Kat, just go back to twrp and restore your backup.

Clean Kat was very smooth, no bugs so far, didn't use it for much time, but I think everything is working fine, besides a liitle bug when scrolling through Download files, and there is no option to disable soft keys.
You can disable it by editing build.prop

Hi,
Phone not responding after some minutes . only black screen no "wake up" on anyway. need to forcefully restart.
Currently i am using SlimBit [6.0.1_r12][AOSP][LAYERS][11-Feb]
also tried Resurrection Remix v5.6.3 Marshmellow
Installed using TWRP v3.0 Recovery by clean slate (Wipe Data/System,cache,dalvic including internal storage data)
also installed from MIUI v6.6.10 base version also.
Same problem rises again and again in all CM,ASOP version i installed.
Only without "GAPPS " i can use my device for few Days.
Is that any correct installation method, other than described in each rom thread.???
I need Big help....
Thanks

Try using the base rom as v5.6.11 and try using the old twrp v2.8.7
I have same issue. Nandroid backup of CM12, Mowkee, Resurection does not successfully load anymore. While the MIUI 7 v7.1.1.0 nandroids still load with no problem. I used to load my other custom rom nandroid with no problem. I did also install the new ver3 TWRP but tried reverting back to Magdag Mi4i TWRP but still same issue.
Try provide with a logcat, might be more useful in helping you.
No other custom rom is working on my mi4i
After clearing the system data cache . . I installed cm13 using twrp by maddag...after successfully installed the rom and gapps when it finishes boot and the welcome screen appears then its stuck in the welcome screen for 5secs then reboots them after booting up again on welcome screen again restarts..it is happening every time.. So I installed cm12 and after finishing boot...again same problem so I reverted back to miui by installing the rom via fast boot by mi pc suite and it booted successfully without any problems.. And in miui rom my mob laggs too much and the benchmark in antutu is 29000...I think I need to replace the mobile phone..still 2 months warranty remaining..?

Try use old TWRP, if you got hard error flash MIUI V6.6.6 first.

Don't forget to flash MIUI V.6.6.6 (or V.6.6.6 patch ROM) first before you restore your nandroid backup like CM12, Mowkee, Resurection if you from new MIUI ROM.
If you want to restore MIUI7 nandroid backup from CM12 you need to flash MIUI7 patch ROM first.

Don't forget to flash MIUI V.6.6.6 (or V.6.6.6 patch ROM) first before you flash to CM13, if not you'll get bootloop. If you use default init.qcom.post_boot.sh and your phone heat up it will lags, so use edited init.qcom.post_boot.sh.
Confirmed

I can confirm that this DID magically works!
No need to use the old TWRP, just flash MIUI V6.6.6(I used the fastboot package[1], not sure if recovery package works) then flash TWRP then flash other custom OSes.

Hey guys need a bit of advice!
Probably missing something blindingly obvious, So don't hold back with the stupid questions! !!
I have just been given a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (GT-P5110) and I'm trying to install another Rom on it. (either : CW/Slim/AOSP 4.# and 6.# images)
Roms install OK until I try and flash Google apps ( either using OpenGapps or Google apps) Then I either get stuck on a "Unfortunately Setup Wizard has stopped" at first reboot Or it gets stuck in a boot-loop.
I've tried flashing the Play apps directly after flashing the rom, as well as letting it reboot once then flashing the Play apps. Both have issues which basically gets me stuck in either a boot-loop or crashing setup wizard.
I'm using TWRP v2.8.5.0 for my recovery.
Just wondering if i'm stuck without the Play apps.
&
Anyone got a good email client to pick up my Gmail accounts if i can install the Play apps?
thanks!

Updated to latest TWRP, still having problems with gapps.
Needing non gapps alternatives for the stock apps.
Failing that I'm stuck back to the stock Samsung ROM
Go here http://opengapps.org/ download the pico version of the gapps... if you are installing cm13 or any marshmallow get the AMR 6.0 Pico put it in your external sd card with the rom.. from the Recovery go to wipe advanced wipe everything except your external sd go to install flash the rom and the gapps restart... I garantee everything will be ok now..

That was one of the first things I tried!!
No matter which ones I try (ROM or opengapps version) as soon as I install the google play services app it crashes, or I get stuck in a boot loop!
I've tried kikkat lollipop marshmallow builds, all are the same!
Currently running Slim6 with no play services installed and its running fine!
Just something with the play services causes my tablet to flake out!!!
Will go back to stock ROM with no root and start from scratch, see If that makes any difference.

**update**
Everything is 99.5% working.
The 0.5% is the WiFi! It tend to drop every so often,
WiFi frequency is set to automatic so might an issue jumping between 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz bands.
I've set it to only use the 5Ghz frequency band for now, I'll see if that makes difference...
I'm using a BT Home Hub 3. ( saving up for half decent WiFi router to replace this!)

Had the same problem with resurectionremix and slim6. This works perfectly
EDIT: This is specifically for the Umidigi F1.
This is not my work, but I discovered this post in one of the hacking forums. I don't know how accurate it is yet (and given the publish date, I may be a fool), but I figured it was worth sharing.

LOL! Sorry man thats my thread I honestly didn't even realize yesterday was april fools! It's for real 100% legit .
That looks SO cool! Unfortunately I'm still struggling with TWRP as it simply cannot read anything (to be able to do step #9 on the OP). When I solve this, I'll post here as maybe it'll be good to update the steps
Well, in the end I was able to boot some SOs, but only after patching a different force encryption disable zip file (from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/universal-dm-verity-forceencrypt-t3817389) but anyway, no custom ROM worked properly - I faced a huge amount of lag, crashes and sudden loss of input recognition. So, in the end I went back to stock Pie + Magisk to try solving the RAM issue this way. Thanks all!

Please tell me which ROMs did you try and what problems did you face ?
I tried the 3 mentioned in the OP:
Resurrection Remix
Descendant
Bliss ROM
But had no luck with them. Bliss seemed to be the best among them (at least I was able to boot from that haha) but after a reboot I got stuck on bootloop again (looks like the system could not see the OS anymore).

A few questions:
1. How did you flash them? Did you use the SP Flash Tool?
2. After installing them, did you run the DM-Verity tool to disable encryption?

i bought Umidigi F1 Play for more than 1 months
and i test a lot of treble project (Havoc OS,Ressurection Remix,Blissrom,Lineage OS,Omnirom) all android 9 and it did boot up
so this my method to boot up
first :
-Unlock your Bootloader
-Download TWRP Recovery- Download Any Rom You Want to try And copy it to internal memory as .img file
-Download Magisk
-Flash TWRP Using SP Flash Tool and go to Recovery
-Make a Backup For your System if something go Wrong
-Wipe Data, Cache, System, Dalvik Cache
-go to install, press Install Image , Select your Rom File , select System Image As the partition to Flash Image
-Swipe and Wait
-Back to install and Flash Magisk
- Reboot and Enjoy
for People using gapps there is a problem with twrp is doesnt support a/b so opengapps doesnt detect if the phone is a normal or a/b device but i manage to fix a temporary opengapps to work on our device waiting for the twrp developer to fix this bug
this is the working gapps https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-Dguq8rs4k4W7eZKA2KnJxB5fKXCw2Y-

Boot and recovery only options i get in twrp
I have successfully installed LineageOS what feels like a hundred times now. I followed every single piece of advice and best practice. In total frustration I gave up LineageOS and followed every single step for an OctaviOS installation. I even flashed the newest Global stock firmware successfully, just to follow every recommended step.
I boot into OctaviOS, after successful installation and...
Wi-Fi still won't turn on.
I am completely out of ideas and I have no idea what to do about it. Going back to stock and using this in production is not an option.
I have installed TWRP 3.4.0-0 By mahajant99 and every ROM flash and partition wipe, worked as expected and I never encountered a serious error. All flashes went fine and everything was done exactly step by step, as the guides recommended. Still, no Wi-Fi.
What can I do to fix this?
P.S.: Wi-Fi works through stock ROM. So no hardware issue.

To test, I followed the guide and installed this precise FW+Vendor image. Doing this, I cannot boot into a custom ROM (e.g. OctaviOS), at all. I repeated this test several times, to exclude possible installation errors. I did CLEAN flashes and installations. Still, it makes things worse. As already said, I can't even boot into the ROM.

To test, I followed the guide and installed this precise FW+Vendor image. Doing this, I cannot boot into a custom ROM (e.g. OctaviOS), at all. Better just try another rom... They are all still AOSP and uses same kernel as NitrogenOS does. Better use EvoX or RR or Pixel Experience ROM... They're more polished and expect to also have great updates... Just wait for more stable Android 11 Custom Roms or just contact the OP of the OctaviOS for surya...

Even IF another ROM would work -- why doesn't this ROM work on my phone? What's so special about my phone? I have a plain brandnew POCO X3 NFC, like most others here. So why wouldn't it work? Does the firmware version have anything to do with it?
Every guide I read, explicitly recommends version "12.0.3". However, the newest version is already at version "12.0.4". Maybe this is causing the issue?

Maybe, have you also even tried installing fw 12.0.3? Because at the meantime, no developer has compiled the public kernel of poco x3 to their respective roms... They still use the kernel from the first miui rom... Idk whats really the difference on stock kernel vs the released kernel for surya because in my situation, everything works fine on installing roms. My device is surya, 6/64gb... Plain just like you... Idk why devs couldnt even fix this thing...
Sorry bro I can't help you with this, I'm just an ordinary kid being new to this stuff and have a little experience with this (still I'm a fast learner) because I only experienced much more customization on the Poco X3 than even other phones I have owned previously. I did not also learned coding (i was a rookie HTML coder past years but i forgotten it) like Java or scripts on Linux to compile and make compatible custom roms for phones... Peace
I did the following steps:
Flash "surya_global_images_V12.0.3.0.QJGMIXM_20200925.0000.00_10.0_global" with "MiFlash 2020.3.14.0".
Wipe Cache, Dalvik.
Flash "OctaviOS-v1.2-surya-20201109-2033-VANILLA-Official".
Flash "Magisk-v21.1".
Format Data.
Reboot into System.
Wi-Fi is working!!
Now only NikGapps is missing, but that is just booting into Recovery, flashing and booting back into System, so no problem here, anymore.
Thank you, @yan2xme! You say you are noob, but you had the right guess, too! Anyway, thanks for your help, I appreciate it!
P.S.: Boot-up is additionally much faster, smoother and without SystemUI crash on startup. This 12.0.4 firmware really sucks!
