Does anyone know who makes the LM MCU units? My Erisin is an LM, but it appears to be less supported with regards to MCU and firmware updates compared to other "brands". I've got 1.63_1 MCU. Any newer?
edit
If you browse the forum you will find v1.82 for these units, but this version makes unable to eject cd unit as in my case, so I don't recomend you to update. Surely that version is for another unit, not mine: es3015
By the way.... does any body have MCU v1.63 firmware ready to install? I would like to eject my CD from the unit...
version 1.90 for LM units

It seems to be a complete system update, not only the MCU firmware update. That update has 800MB, not the few MB that the MCU firmware updates used to have.

Possible to update mcu only?
Is it correct to flash these three files from sd/usb?
Done and working faster and more stable than before.

i will try mcu 1.90 with latest malaysk rom too. if update works in your 3015, i supposed it will work on mine
It will definitely work.
Only station presets are gone and the canbus setting. Personal Hardkey mapping too. But thats done in minutes.
Maybe you should look for it before the update and reset it after.
Does this work on all Erisin LM Units?
A stupid question but how can I see if my unit is LM, if I have already updated it with another MCU ?
Settings - about unit - version
Getapped and getalked with 6603

I have a MTCD unit from Erisin, info in attached pic.
I see threads like this one Factory firmware for RK3188 MTCD
with links to firmware, can I use these?
How do I identify which firmwares I can use.
What do the letters after the MTCD mean in the MCU version, my letters are "LM"
kind regards
You can flash any LM update
Sent from my SM-N920C using XDA-Developers mobile app
I was told you can flash any mtcd firmware, just don't flash the MCU if it's not for your version. But I haven't dare try it yet.

Hello,
I have PX3 unit with MTCD_MX_v2. 56b Fw - and my question is, can I use MCU update from the PX5 versions which is 2.9 sth?

MCU and PX3/5 are two different systems. You can only use MX MCU with the MCU, but you can flash the PX3 board with any ROM you like provided it's for your resolution and you have enough RAM, especially for ROMs based on Android 7/8. As far as I'm aware only upgrade to Android 7 if your PX3 has 2GB of RAM and Android 8 is only for PX5 units.
Plenty of custom ROMs for PX3 such as the Hal9k and Malaysk. Or you can always flash a PX3 ROM from another manufacturer, results may vary though.

Well. the model is PX3 meaning if I'm correct 4 cors, PX5 has 8? Sth like that. And the MCU version is MTCD_MX_xxxx. So From what U wrote, I can safely update that MX which came from PX5 modles?
Another one - If I use any custom ROM, does it also updates the MCU version? Or that is separate stuff?
Thanks for help!

PX3 is 4 core, PX5 is 8 core.
PX3 comes with either 1GB or 2GB of RAM. 5.1.1 runs fine with only 1GB of RAM. 7.1 should have at least 2GB of RAM.
PX5 comes with either 2GB or 4GB of RAM. They have been only 6.0 but 8.0 is now out for them, 2GB of RAM should be enough for 8.0.
MCU is a separate update file to the ROM. The ROM contains Android and the UI you see. The MCU is specific to the board in your radio and requires the correct file such as KGL, GS, MX. Some are interchangeable but it is strongly advised against using other MCUs unless you already have an issue with your current one that isn't resolved by the latest version.
Hi there,
attached is a new MCU v 2.95 which I found at 4PDA.
It is a HA-MCU.
I succesfully flashed it on a Witson unit (MX2) and unlocked the MCU afterwards.
All settings working fine for me.
I found a new setting to display battery voltage is the status bar.

Can I try such an HA MCU IMG on a LM PX5 unit or can this brick my LM PX5?

You should have a copy of your current MCU to be sure.
I didn't have one so I just tried at own risk.
Important is to first install the mcu unlocker app, than save the dmcu settings (I additionally made photos of all settings).
Then flash the mcu, do unlock and set your settings back.
I manually changes all settings. Was also fairly quick job.
I can't promise that it won't brick. So if your system runs fine, I would not suggest flashing as long as no one confirmed compability.
lets say I am 95% sure, it should work, as most other users suceeded also with changing mcu. Finally its up to you.

I have tried and can download all kind of LM MCU versions for my LM PX5 - no problem.
I think I wait for some more opinions / experiences if MCU images of different PX5 unit vendors can just be used on every PX5 unit, or at least don't brick the device so I can change MCU back.

A backup of MCU, how.
@marchnz no clue I thought it should be possible to do some kind of backup copy...
Any other solution? Should i give HA a try?
EDIT: Background, I want to update from Android 9 to Android 10 and install Hal9k. But what I did was to downgrade my V3.30_a1 to V2.94... Don't ask me why I thought it is higher that my previous version
If everything works for you, then I do not recommend crossing the MCU. Try to write to the seller, maybe your update will send you. You can find everything about Crossing MCUs here, if you don't find a suitable type of MCU, then you can lose more than you gain. I recommend using the search engine and you will find a few HZC users:
MTCD - Verified Cross compatible MCUs
This thread is to document MCUs found to be cross-compatible between MTCD units, which includes PX3 and PX5 variants, which share identical mainboard hardware and MCU Chip STM32F091. The following MTCD & MTCE (as of v2.56) MCUs have been...

I'd like to ask the gods on XDA if they've seen my PX6 model?
I can't find the relevant MCU on the Internet
I asked the installation shop
But they're just agents
They don't have the relevant software for me to use
My current experience with Hal9k Mod v4 ROM is good
I wonder if I can update the MCU? Or upgrade the Android 10 system

This is the first MTC(P) I've seen, it's and MTCD unit. Refer MTCD sub forum.
What is your need to change the software or MCU code? What do you want to achieve.

Thank you for your reply, I want to know if I can update the MCU version? I can't find related posts and software to update MTCP JP V3.12_1
Maybe the MCU version firmware software is higher than 3.5?
I don't know
Or update to Android 10. Which ROM should I use is compatible or correct?

I couldn't find a JP MCU either. Any of the MTCD/E/P RK3399 Android ROMs will work.
I wouldn't change the MCU unless there's an issue.
If you must update MCU, you might check with the reseller. An option could be, with at least a copy of the same revision JP MCU, to try another MCU such as GS or HA. Take a config export first.
See the MCU cross compatibility thread.
Hi, I have a problem with mcu update in android radio, namely yes:
- radio is eonon d5103
- I can't find the update files anywhere, because there are some "specific"
- the mcu bone from what I read is stm32f101
- blue screen saying "mcu upgrade process began..."
i'm counting on your help, and a picture of what is displayed i'm posting below
Is it MTCD type unit, I think not and posted in wrong g forum, but post mcu version from Android system information
eonon d5103 is made up model name, no one will know what that is
