So I made the B571 update and now I don't have the option to hide the navigation bar anymore. This is a problem since it reduces the overall size of the screen. Anyone have an idea of how this can be done without rooting my phone?
There's an already opened thread (by myself). Actually seems no solution if not rooting thr device. I have the same necessity and decided to do NOT update to B560 (and then B571).

Hi! I have a question: is it possible to change the conversation tones in whatsapp? That tone that you get when you send a message and you get the tick and the sounds that you get when you're IN a specifical conversation and you get a new message. Can it be done?
Yes, but you'd have to decompile the app's apk, change the sound files with the ones you want, recompile it and sign it, then you'd have to backup the conversations, uninstall the original version and install the modded one, and all of this at every update

nvm, lol
I see many post regarding the backup app and data on andorid marshmallow but with different opinion, especially regarding Helium Backup.
So there is for our phone a good backup app or the only way sure is root with titanium ?
Thank
Hispa
Hi, you can use Samsung Smart Switch, tap the upper right 3 dots and choose "transfer to external memory" or something similar, I'm translating from my Italian device
Let me know if it works!

hi guys
s6 nougat. i found /system/priv-app/Crane/Crane.apk
26.9M
what's that? can't find anything on google
seems to install call+
I think this is a painting or screen writing tool because inside the file I found these LIB files:
libgnustl_shared.so
libSPenBase.so
libSPenBeautify.so
libSPenBrush.so
libSPenChineseBrush.so
libSPenEngine.so
libSPenFountainPen.so
libSPenInit.so
libSPenInkPen.so
libSPenMagicPen.so
libSPenMarker.so
libSPenModel.so
libSPenMontblancCalligraphyPen.so
libSPenMontblancFountainPen.so
libSPenObliquePen.so
libSPenPencil.so
libSPenPencil2.so
libSPenPluginFW.so
libSPenSkia.so
what did you discover? with quick shortcut maker I was able to start Call+ activities, which look very interesting, but I need to figure out how to properly access this feature.

Your help will be greatly appreciated:
Last night some apps were updated automatically, and since then my dialer, sms and contacts apps crash whenever i try to use them. If I boot the phone in 'safe mode', those apps work OK, but I can't use the other apps I have (except for the play store).
Any idea how to fix that without resetting?
How can I check which apps were updated?
Thanks

I did as you suggested and it worked.
I've installed YouTube vanced via magisk manager but before I've removed the YouTube system app via titanium backup.
YouTube vanced works great but I've always a YouTube update notification in the PlayStore also if I disabled automatic updates for the app.
Is there a way to hide the notification for the app?
I just want to hit "update all' button to update all my apps except for YouTube.

Detach from Magisk Repo or Titanium Backup
I had the exact same thing the other day. Titanium doesn't work as after a few hours the notification will reappear
read the vanced description in magisk it tells you that you can add an enable_detach file in the cache folder to detach.
for me, this has created problems sometimes so i've stopped doing it.
Just un-tick auto-update for YouTube in Play Store

Once you do that, you can click update all, a window will pop-up, tap Skip.
Now all apps will be updated, EXCEPT YouTube ;]
The detach facility is buggy as hell.
I just use the non-root version with MicroG and disable the pre-installed app.
