If you are running Windows Vista you will realize it does something similar where the clock and outlook respond with a change and a sound.
As this issue is not specific to the touch pro, and not rom development related, i moved it to the Q&A section where it might get more attention.
thx
i don't have vista (only XP and seven on my tablet pc)...
i didn't remember my old jornada 565,my mio 168 or my mio p350 or even my SPV C100 did that
mine does it as well. don't know why. apparently it's built in to win mobile/vista?
YES...mine too and I'm trying to recall whether it was the case when I had udK's beta 7 rom. With Seatone's 2.1 Rom it does it and I'm not sure why. I use to think it might have been an APP responsible like SKtools as it works in the background to recover memory but I don't notice a change in the memory.
Hmmm....will continue to investigate this
This question has been brought up in the past, and has something to do with time synchronisation. Or... as I think, something to do with your phone being a werepho-
"AAAAAOOOOOUUUUWWWW"
"Shiver me timbers".
time synchro?
strange that this task don't work while the phone is asleep...
how can we set time synchro off to test? registry hack?
I thought all WM devices do this -- they wake up at 00 to do some stuff (internal maint. of some sort) then go back to sleep.
I remember reading about this on some microsoft blog a while ago...
you can set it off in outlook/tools/options/calendar
btw, you can also set timesync off in WMDC.. when choosing which info you want to sync.

[Q] Advanced Config & Accent Changer for Mango 7720

Finaly! After hours and hours of updating, tweaking and backupping i finnaly got a working unlocked version of retail mango.. but... these apps aint working anymore, strange, because TouchXplorer is still working. Also Registery Editor is not working anymore!!
Are there some new alterntive apps? Especially a custom-accent changer!
You should have picked another title. I thought this is a release...
Yep, none of these are working. We already knew that. Put at least a question mark in the title
Sent from my LG-C900 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
*Bump*
any updates?
Have you, by any chance, checked the TouchXperience site any time in the last few months? Schaps has had working Mango versions of Registry Editor and Advanced Config for a good while now.
Working fine now on my hd7 with release of custom roms that are full unlocked within the past week or so.

Working without INTEROP-UNLOCK already?
No, interop-unlock is and probably always will be required, until/unless MS comes to their senses regarding it. That said, it's working on my HD7 with stock Mango retail ROM. The process requires rolling back to pre-Mango but it's possible to interop-unlock an HTC phone as long as you are dev-unlocked and have the HTC Connection Setup app installed.
there is a version 1.4 but its really buggy on my Focus. Inter-op unlocked.
It launches and if i go fast enough i can get it to stay open in the Accent changer.
I've been able to deploy this to my phone using the Windows application deployment tool, but it doesn't appear on my app list afterwards. Am interop unlocked.
Cheers
This is because is is installed in settings, not in app list

[Q] HTC Titan unlocking

Hello I'm new to Windows Phone 7 (was into the whole jailbreaking on iPhone before) but before I try the whole unlocking thing I want to know a few things:
Is it possible to install and use Advanced Config to change accent colors etc on my HTC Titan.
Secondly is it possible to use this whole unlocking thing to install for example Samsung or Nokia exclusive apps on my HTC Titan.
If either of these two are possible I'd like to unlock with Chevronlabs (already paid for it), if not, then I don't see any reason to unlock or whatever.
Also how do I proceed after that. I mean I looked into the hacking en developing board but I don't understand any of it. With all those different Mango versions and different device requirements etc. It was all way easier with the iPhone/iPad.
Device model: HTC Titan X310e
Software: Windows Phone 7.5
OS: 7.10.7720.68
Hello,
acutally you can only unlock the phone using developer unlock (official or chevron) to sideload XAPs files. However on Mango it is not possible to install XAPs requiring the INTEROP capability (such as registry editors or, unfortunately, Advanced Config).
You will have to wait for a INTEROP-UNLOCK for HTC to install that program since the only way to do this is to downgrade to NoDo and hack it, which I think is not possible on HTC Radar since it comes with Mango preinstalled.
EDIT: For Nokia or Samsung apps I do not know but I hope for Nokia ones .
Thanks. So no reason to unlock yet Really hoped for Advanced Config too bad.
Oh, there are some good homebrew apps that don't need ID_CAP_INTEROPSERVICES.
Webserver: Easy way to transfer files between computers; don't even need a USB cable just wifi and a web browser which are pretty much everywhere.
Screen capture: Sometimes it's useful to be able to make screenshots, to show something off or explain something more clearly.
Folders: Categorize and group your apps. It's basically custom "hubs" of apps, except the tiles can deep-link as well.
There are a few more, those are just the ones that come to mind. If you've got any coding and/or security skills, feel free to start taking apart the ROM dumps or HTC apps and trying to find a way to interop-unlock them. I'm sure there's a way; we still have a ton to learn about this OS. Three months or so back, we didn't think it was possible to run native code at all without interop-unlock.

camera extras requires tango i believe. Plus there is a good chance it will not work on non-nokia devices
I have tried it on my HTC Trophy running Tango, I still get the 'needs updating' message.
Hopefully someone will be able to bypass this soon
I'm running ceesheim's ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1571068 (v3.4 though) and managed to sideload it on.
It installed fine and stuff but I don't get all the extra features....well....it gives me an option to change the camera output to 8megapixels which isn't obviously true.
But it doesn't give me any of the other goodies :crying:
bump
I've managed to get it installed on my omnia 7 (currently on mango) and found out that by changing the device name and oem in the registry editor to "NOKIA Lumia 900" the "update" message disappeared, so I guess this doesn't need tango to be running. Perhaps we need nokia dll's :\ Or some other tweak...
For me the app works without changing something....but we need the dll to run the app properly
but I have no extra options in my camera-settings
First of all, there's almost no chance of this working on non-Nokia stock firmware. It will rely on software components that other firmwares won't have, and that non-fully-unlocked ROMs won't be able to install and use.
Second, for people like @slipnarf: Revert that change to the DeviceTargetingInfo registry values *immediately*, or you will probably brake the Marketplace DRM and your phone will be unable to either install or run Marketplace apps. This break appears to take a day or two, but is irreversible except by reverting a backup or doing a hard-reset once it occurs. (This warning should be present in every thread that talks about those registry values, but for some reason people continue to muck with DeviceTargetingInfo and mess up their phones.)
Go to Omnia7 Dev section, mirolg has cooked a fully unlocked ROM which contains the Nokia DLL's and therefore the camera extras.
hi
please can anyone upload the dll-files for nokia camera extras!!??
i don't can find them in forum or with help of google..
thanks a lot!!
in the deepshining rom are the nokia camera extras work fine, but i don't want to flash my device again for this features..

Teclast x98 air 3g dualboot 64gb upgrade to Windows 10

Hi, I have Teclast x98 air 3g dualboot 64gb c5j6 version - no modification (I don't think I use Mirek).
I am just wondering whether have you try to upgrade the windows 8.1 version to Windows 10?
If you do, do you encounter any issue or any compatibility issue? such as front/back camera, sound or display etc.
Also, are you able to use Windows 10 to make a phone call?
Lastly, please let us know how to update to Windows 10 and what is/are the requirements prior the update?
note: Apologise if this thread has been raised before but looking 1100 plus from the win 8.1 thread might slow down future user who would like to find it.
Also mislead us for searching Teclast X98 Air 3g Windows 10 inside Win 8.1 thread. I am still reading at the moment
you can share the instruction step by step in order to upgrade to Windows 10 in here. Preferred option
Please share your experience and thank you for sharing.
Update:
I've read some of the answers and questions from 8.1 thread.
It seems just update usually like your windows desktop. Using the Windows update service. Am I right? I haven't try it yet though.
Ensure you are installing Windows 10 32bit version.
Q: will my android partition stay intact? And what about the dualboot menu? (from the foxx #10803)
A: Your android partition and everything will stay intact
Possible issues:
*Auto rotate? - solution (from the foxx #10803): Auto rotate needs to be turned on in the settings. You can also easily enable/disable tablet mode. Tap the notification icon just to the left of the clock. Disable the rotation lock from there or update driver -> Extract it and follow the instructions in the g-sensor folder. Reboot and you're done (from Gangrell #10814).
*Front camera? (if it didn't work previously then it still won't work)
Drivers thanks to Maxxim#10795:

I hope i posted in the right forum, now
