There is a lot of video reviews of cases on YouTube. What I like to do though, is face off one case vs another and decide on a winner. What I've managed to do this time though is accumulate a good number of cases that I've spent time and real world use on. My plan is to face them off against each other in videos. Not all at once though. Instead I'm going to do a bracket in a tournament style until I proclaim the very best case. I'd like your input on which to put against each other (I'm also posting this at Android Central). They are the following cases:
Spigen Neo Hybrid
Spigen Slim Armor
Samsung Flip Case
Samsung Protective Cover
UAG Maverick
UAG Folio Flip
Seidio (Platinum) w/holster
Unicorn Beetle w/holster
Verus Iron Shield
Once I get some feedback I'll post the bracket and start posting videos over the course of the next couple of weeks. I'll be giving away a few of the cases when it's all said and done to people who like the videos or post comments on them.
Here's a pic of the cases that will be in the tournament.
Here are my suggestions.
Neo Hybrid Metal vs Verus Iron Shield
UAG Maverick vs Samsung Protective Cover
UAG Folio vs Samsung Flip Case
Waiting for your cases face off tournament. Good luck!
Glad to see the Samsung protective cover in the shootout. I really like mine.
I have the neo hybrid and protective cover. I think the protective cover is a way better case. Slim and offers some protection

would like to see them compared against the iblason armorbox if you have one with and without samsung oem qi covers fitted.
Great thread, for me, the most versatile case is the Otterbox Commuter Series Case. Overtime, the silicone on the Defender Series case expands.
OK, here are the match ups for the first round:
Spigen Neo Hybrid (Plastic) vs.
Samsung Protective Case
Spigen Neo Hybrid (Metal) vs.
Verus Iron Shield
Spigen Slim Armor vs.
UAG Maverick
Unicorn Beetle w/ holster vs.
Platinum Hard Case w/ holster (BB version of Seidio Surface)
Samsung Flip Case vs.
UAG Folio Scout
I typically swear by them, but this deduce feels so good in my hand, I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not to buy a case..
That as a screen protector. The glass is just silky..
On the other hand, a skin I am seriously considering..
Any and all discussions and inputs most welcome..
*also if your using a screen protector, which one and what type of material?
from note 7

have an otterbox defender on order so i got the t21 while i wait, i like it so far, slim and protective.
I have the tech21 one and will use it if I need better protection. I don't care for its ergonomics especially when it comes time to remove the S-Pen! It's too hard. The buttons require a lot of force to actuate too. And I question the deep wells around the microphone holes how they may affect sound quality when recording video...
I just got this today:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GHVLU90/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's super thin and shiny and all. For $5.99 it's a no brainer if you are a member of the "barely there" crowd.
I don't know what Diztronic has against edge phones as there was no case for the S7E and probably the Note 7 as well. They are my favorite case for thinness. But for now this six dollar shiny plastic will do.
EDIT: Now I see Diztronic does have a Note 7 case! Looks to be backordered a week or two but I will be getting it.

My wife has the Caseology Parallax series in the Mint color she loves it, a decently grippy case with the back being kinda soft with dimples. I've got the Spigen Neo Hybrid Gunmetal case, not as grippy as hers but still feels good. Pretty slim case though (doesn't add much bulk at all) and it fits like a glove. Got both off Amazon, for $14.99 and $15.99 I believe. Now I've just got to find us some screen protectors that won't peel on the edges. We got the Skinomi Techskin Full Coverage (case friendly) version 1 protectors and mine peeled like crazy and my wife's is on pretty good. Haven't heard much about the version 2 that just released, I'm hoping they fixed the issue. Anybody tried the version 2 Skinomi Techskin case friendly version with a case by chance?

It specifically says "version 2" in the description when ordering on Amazon. My description does not include "version 2", as well as clearing it up with Skinomi, when asking for a warranty replacement due to this thing peeling. But ordering it directly from Skinomi or elsewhere, I'm not sure, I don't know if on the box it says revised version 2 or anything like that, as I haven't received it yet. Do you have the Skinomi Techskin too?
Here's the one I'm currently using

Otterbox Commuter. Love it.
Just got my Seidio Surface Case and Holster, it fits well. Only problem is when they have the cases in stock the holster is out of stock or vice versa.

i started out with a spigen neo hybrid. ordered that before i had received the phone. once i noticed i wasn't showing off the beautiful back glass of the phone i got the spigen neo hybrid crystal. both are lightweight and just what i need in a case

Also using the neo hybrid crystal and love it, shows off my silver note and offers decent protection without adding much thickness

Haven't tried yet, applied a Skinomi before getting the case but the edges did not stay now I am waiting on a few tempered screen protectors to come in.
Spigen saved my Note 4 now it protects my Note 7
Spigen Tough Armor case (gunmetal to offset/match the Titanium model). it doesn't add much to the overall size of the phone and has a kickstand and really does protect the phone. Only $17 on Amazon.
Hello all, i currently have had a seidio holster and spigen case on my old htc phone and love the combo. I plan on upgrading to a note 7 and looking for something that will cover all my ports up and be able to use a seidio holster. I have thought of the otterbox commuter might fit. I really want the ghostek atomic 3.0 case but beleave it would be to large for this holster. Any input would be great .
Thanks
